Real Money Trading (RMT), also known as the “PHP” trade is one of the most popular terms in the online gaming vocubulary. It’s basically selling in-game items or virtual assets for real life cash. This doesn’t just happen in the Philippines, in fact it’s also rampant in World of Warcraft. It’s so profitable that companies were put up employing gamers to just farm gold so that entrepreneurs can sell them to US-based gamers for a hefty price.

Just so you guys know, World of Warcraft gold in the local PHP market is 1G = 2 Pesos. Seasoned players can farm up to 200-300 Gold per hour, roughly 400-600 PHP. If you farm for 10 hours, that’s like 6,000 bucks. Wapak! I don’t think you’ll enjoy it anymore though and you’ll eventually get burned out. Main problem here though would be finding people to BUY your gold, hehe.
