Waukster Online - What to Expect
Hi everyone! Like what I said in my previous post, I wasn’t able to post on Sunday and I probably won’t be able to post on Monday because I’ll be out of town. I was able to write 4 blog posts which you can now read simply by checking the most recents topics. Anyway, before I start preparing for my trip, I just want to give you guys a heads up on what you can expect from this blog starting Tuesday. I have a lot of good posts coming up, and I want you guys to know in advance so you can already think about it. Here’s my short list of topics.

These are just some of the topics that I plan to discuss and post starting on Tuesday when I get back. As you can see, it’s pretty much a power packed week for Waukster Online! Hell, I’m sure that even the media guys are wondering about the number 1 topic. Well, maybe you guys can leave a comment and guess, hehe.
Btw - To the Perfect World CBT Account Winners who haven’t recieved an e-mail yet, please check your SPAM folders. I’ve already followed it up with the concerned people and according to them they released the e-mail already since last week. I’ll ask them to re-send though seeing as it’s been a while already.
Lastly, I wasn’t able to reply to the comments you guys left on the last few posts. I’ll do that when I get back.

I got my eyes set on the server transfer and RO being F2P
Yung sa GTB I think I already said that we’re still waiting word from Gravity and that we’ve already sent our proposal to them. As for the lag, it’s something that the iT Team should take care of during maintenance this Thursday.
About the name change service.
Sana walang bayad doon sa 3 servers na hindi nakapagname change. Dagdag pa yan sa game imbalance kung ganoon.
Waukeen please I need any update regarding our removal of name changing rights.

Yung maintenance for this week will be on Thursday because I want you guys to get the full week of the 3x EXP. Next week balik na po tayo sa Wednesday weekly maintenance.
As for the F2P - it’s something that has a very very low chance of happening but I’d like to open it to discussion anyway. I have a few ideas that I want everyone’s input on.

may filed ticket about game time server is still being process by the cust care for 3 days now… One ticket was resolved but i was directed to a new ticket that’s still being process. upon looking in mylevelup account my game time are still in the wrong account…

Yung F2P, if ever magkatotoo masmarming bibili sa hypermart at magiging ok na siguro sa mga customers yung Enhanced weapons/gears na 7 days worth..

i’ve already talked to you about the name change and server transfer in iRO. F2P against it if there are still bots. If you’re going F2P then discard all items including monster drops and sell EDPs and bottles as well as slim whites in hypermart… too much will be affected if you go F2P so just leave it be.
oh and btw, when will the 9 character slot be implemented? may 30?

i work in a call center and i know how stressing it is to hear customer’s complaints about the service…pero sana di reason yun kasi yung ang objective nang work to help out customers, if I canno help them out…who else will it be ?

Everyone seems to have an opinion about F2P but TwRO (Taiwan RO) has a F2P server aside from the standard P2P server. Dami downsides ang F2P RO:
1. 50% exp and drop rate reduction
2. No Fly wings, Creamy card, and Antonio cards. Teleport cost is 500 sp.
3. Death = -5% exp penalty + 30% chance of dropping equipped item (hypermart items are immune to this effect)
4. No teleport Kafra Service
5. No Upgrading Safety range. All equips are breakable when refined, regardless if its +1 or +9 (Hypermart Elus and Oris can still allow you to safely refine up to +4)
6. Upgrade cost is 30k per attempt, 60k for lvl4
Sagwa ng F2P, I woudn’t play there even if you pay me Php 350/month.
F2P is good, just take out the bots.
Name Change. WAG! Impersonations and personal assassinations lang mangyayari dyan. Siguro dun lng sa mga naapektohan sa server merge, yung may suffix nila na server & number sa names nila.
Server Transfer Service. Di kaya lugi naman yan? Siguro between commercial servers pwede pa. Pero wag naman yung botted characters having their characters transfer to Thor.

di maganda F2P.. suggest nalang na pababain ang price ng load.. dadami bot = lag = di na masarap maglaro = quitting RO = 500+ OL nalang bawat servers.. (well masyadong praning but still) wag naman.. kaya nga astig sa pRO eh.. you have to pay to play.. not just your ordinary game.. wag naman sana maging F2P..
Sana po may name change po ang mga former Sarah, Odin and Chaos players. Me really wants that

Will such change affect international servers of LU like mine? Why has he resigned?
2. Ragnarok Free-to-Play Discussion - Is it even possible?
Even if it is, which is a good thing for many, there’s a mesurable number of people that prefer traditional Ragnarok (like iRO or euRO): subscribe + no cash items. Maybe it’s possible to have it both ways?

Please, remember you’re an international business. How can we, players of other countries, be sure our complaints will be considered by you? Is there a way to reach you when our managers (bRO) have deaf ears and won’t listen to the community?
For quite some time the comission of players advised brazilian LU that something very wrong was happening, but they never cared. We had to show them things like this:

Mind you, Jizinha and Exper][ were top alchemist and blacksmith on my server. They got there with GM help, using GM items. Question: did Philippine management (any of you) ever knew about this?

wala po ba update regarding dupe items ? its was quite a bad news to me and other players us well who have +10/9 equips GR armor/Card Boss Cards(Hopefully I don’t have boss cards /heh) who bought them with their hard earned zeny /sigh
wa pano n yung mga paglilipat ko ng gamit from my other account baka isipin nila since mno zeny was used duriong the deal e kasi nga pareho namang aking account yun!

. quite a sardine like situation huh. anyway, i’m not expecting positive results from this because i know gravity has a lot of limitations. well, just trying to get some opinion.

ask ko lang po, would it be possible for LU! to increase the number of kafra NPCs in towns? and would gravity approve it? i brought this up because of an overcrowding problem in our current savepoint. imagine about 10 guilds making 1 corner of alberta their savepoint
Name Change and Server Transfer:
this is good. it might imbalance the game though (high level characters on the older servers invade the younger ones.) so the mechanics have to be thought up very well. name changes are also good, especially for those who might want to use the space or to actually think of a proper name for their characters.
a good point has been brought up though and that topic being impostors. well, i really don’t know how to deal with this, as i’m still pretty unplugged with the RO community and politics and all that.
all in all the pluses outweigh the minuses i think. :)
F2P:
can the community enlighten me on this? (i’ve been away for a long while) RO is free in other countries?
this would be pretty good. considering how hypermart consumables and other in-game merchandise can easily ensure a continued cashflow for the game. a game, which i might add, must have already hit break-even some time ago. :)

I think that F2P is very viable and should be implemented SOON. As soon as you can get RO2, make RO1 f2p so it’ll not die. I hope that pRO team should practice more well so they can make it to the finals in RWC, they should practice 24/7 just to make sure..
OT: Wauks, in Ragnaboards, please warn Chiyo Mihama and Not Work Safe to be not harsh to the posters. They are elitists and unfriendly, I hate them.. Not Work Safe banned my account for the reason that I expressed my disappointment to moderators of RB, how pathetic it seems to be like that.

these f2p, name change, server transfer and what-not are really quite nice to talk about…
but hey shoudn’t we focus on the “clear and present” problems first? like LAG, FREQUENT DCs and similar issues, DOWN-AND-MAKING-YOUR-CHARACTERS-STUCK MAPS.. and hmm what else?

yesterday the maps like izlude and gh were down. what are the solutions to this kind of problem? NONE!

how many timesdoes your “so called” IT Team (if they were a team) check these zones? I bet just twice!
during early in the morning and after lunch. because as I’ve said yesterday map zones were down again around 8 pm. and where the H E L L are those IT teams that should be checking on the map serevers? GONE!?
if ever he (or they if they ar really a team) will not check these map servers from time to time, assign the security guard to check on the map servers! its as easy as pressing the restart button or the on/off button of the server no need for the brilliant IT Team to do these.
I fever you don’t want to here these kind of comments make RO P2P, but as long as it is F2P we have the right to comment like this one.

The high ranking LU manager whos about to resign - caught my full attention. What could be the reason behind? Could it be:
• Job related like pursuin` Greener Pasteurs abroad, perhaps a heftier offer from another company;
• Personal - one can come up with whatever cockamenie story with this or
• Just simply wanna try something new and he/she feels like its time to sway away from mmorpg service companies ??
Just wee bit curious, thats all.. /? /hmm

you would shift to RO2 as it’s new brand manager. And Goenitz or
other would become the RO1 brand manager. I hope it won’t happen

F2P? uhmm i think its a bit late what about naman yung simula na ng nagka load ang pRO na naglalaro at nag loload at ngayun gagawing free to play parang kalalabasan yata nyan ay pinagkakakwartahan ng LU ang players pag katapos ng big hit dun sila mag F2P its a big NO NO! . sa tingin ko mas malaki naman kita nila sa load kesa hypermart katulad ngayun di masyado mabili sa hypermart .

From a ex-GM. He and others that would really hunt down bots and were acknowledged by all the community as good GMs were fired “mysteriously” back then.
He made screenshots to complain to his superiors. He mailed them to the director explaining the situation, but ended up fired and the corrupt worker (Ji Hyok) not. It was through a big topic on the official forum with the screenshots that Level Up finally did something about it - or we hope so.
What became clear is that a few people here are just screwing up. But they are the head ones, not the base ones.
This is a private issue to Level Up and of course I cannot tell them what to do. But after so many things happening again and again I’m almost sure that the philippine management didn’t hear about the mess here. No one would let they do what they did to Level Up image in Brazil.

Hi man! Level-up International is the one handling stuff for Brazil and India (LU International and LU Philippines are different companies). I really don’t know what’s happening over there since I’m focused on the things here. Maybe you can send me an e-mail and I can forward it to the LU International President (Ben Colayco)? I think we already have a firm grasp of what the problem is with regards to the latency. We will try our best to get things to run smoothly on Thursday’s scheduled maintenance. Btw, no maintenance tomorrow (Wed).
