I think I already mentioned this at my old blog. However, I think my audience has grew signifcantly since I migrated here and most of you probably don’t know about it yet. Waukster Online, the first local online gaming community blog, has been nominated for the Philippine Blog Awards. I don’t understand though why they put me under the Business/Entrep category. Hmm, when you think about it… maybe because I have Level-up logos plastered all over this site.
Anyway, let’s talk about the event. The awards night will be on March 31, 2007, 5PM, at Podium 4, RCBC Plaza, Makati City. It’s really exciting because I’ll be able to meet other pinoy bloggers for the first time.
Despite the fact that I’m relatively new to this thing, I think the awards ceremony is a milestone for the local blogging scene. If you check the judges of the Philippine Blog Awards, you’ll see that the organizers really went out of their way to get qualified people, all of which are experts in their own profession. They were also able to get corporate sponsors to back the event up financially.
Thank you to all my readers, especially the pinoy gamers out there, for making this blog a success. I’ll continue my best to provide you with an inside glimpse at Level-up, as well as community features and interviews. Speaking of which… I’d also like to thank the people I have interviewed, both gamers and Level-up employees. It is my mission here to show you guys the human side of Level-up, and of course my occassional rants and raves (haha) about being the Brand Manager for Ragnarok Online.
