Waukster dot Com Favorite 2007 Post
Today marks the first day of the year 2008 and it also means that we’ve already left 2007 behind. I’d like to thank every single reader of Waukster dot Com for checking the blog every now and then for the latest news, updates, and chismis on the online gaming industry in the Philippines. It’s been a crazy year not just for Philippine Ragnarok Online, but for Level-up! Games as well. With that in mind, I’d like to post one picture that we released in an advertorial in the daily broadsheets. This is the reason for all of the success of the company in the past few years.
Yes, I mean YOU. Level-up! Games is nothing without the community, and I can’t thank you and apologize enough for all the stuff that we endured in 2007. Now, I’d like to share with everyone my favorite post for 2007. Find out what that post is after the jump.
1. New Blood in the Industry
I posted this in September 7, 2007. And I quote:
This post is actually an invitation to YOU. Yes, YOU - the GAMER, to think about a career in this crazy industry we call Online Gaming. Why? Because the industry is getting bigger with every minute that passes but the talent pool can’t keep up with the pace. I can’t even count anymore how many times I got offers from other game publishers and I’m sure that a lot of my co-workers have also been tempted as well with bigger paychecks and benefits so that they would jump ship.
I end the year with a challenge to everyone out there who has an online gaming itch. This industry needs more talent and I’d like to reach out to everyone who’s been thinking of a career in this industry. There’s a career to be made here and it will put food in your table and it will give you the money that you can set aside for your future. The best part in this job is that you can eat, breathe, and live out your passion - gaming.

Naalala ko tuloy kasama ko sa cafe dito sa Ozammis City Misamis Occidental nag apply sa LU para maging GM. Di ko matandaan GM name nya pero tawag namin sa kanya dito Gameboy or Errol.

/swt Is it too bad if customers asked for better service? I don’t know what happened in the past, but compared to pRO, service before was better, and there were less problems. Why did the big problems appear now when LU! already made it this big? Just my PoV. /…

syempre DAPAT college graduate… most likely, yung course mo may kinalaman sa business&economics k2lad doon sa fliers dti noong RPC07.. i think mdmi n xla technicians and etc.. at minsan gling korea pa so ndi nila msydo need ng IT.. unless ksma un sa vacancies.. pero more or less hindi
BTW.. malay nyo may vacancies sa Customer support hehe prng call center..

yeah alam ko rason why LU made that because they lack man power diba wauks? Kaya di masyado na aactionan agad mga concerns ng gamer dahil maliit lang ang tao sa LU diba? That’s why LU made that one pero so far ba wauks ilan na kayo lahat sa LU? Na dagdagan ba kayo these year? or ganun parin?
