Waukster dot Com Blog Reorganization
I’ve been thinking on how I can make the topic integration of Waukster dot Com more efficient and I came across one idea that I’d like to share with everyone today. As most of you know, the major topic here is Ragnarok Online, followed by Ragnarok Online 2 and just recently, Perfect World. However, people keep on spamming non-related stuff on Ragnarok Online 2 and Perfect World posts and this is really understandable since the community just goes to one home page. To make things easier, I was thinking of separating the subdomains of the topics so that it would look like there are three blogs in Waukster dot Com. Read on and let me know what you think.
I’m planning on dividing the segments to the following:
www.waukster.com - Home Page that displays the most recent post from each of the blogs.
www.ragnarok.waukster.com - Ragnarok dedicated blog
www.ragnarok2.waukster.com - Ragnarok 2 Sneak Peek Dedicated Blog
www.perfectworld.waukster.com - Perfect World Dedicated Blog
Personally I think it will look better if I do this and this will hopefully lead to less off-topic comments. For the home page (waukster.com), I’ll also have a space for posts about the philippines, politics, anime, and general entertainment. So what do you guys think?

Yeah, sure, that would be ok, I guess, at least people would know where to post. :)

not so good for laggy connections…more browsers to open…

much better i guess… para hindi off-topic… pero i think mas magiging hot site ang RO1 compared sa iba.. hehehehe

Sir Wauks, about the bot problem… just kidding.
It’s your blog and your bandwidth. People can’t complain if they get their rights removed or posts deleted. There’s a link in caps lock above this box saying what they can or can’t do. But then, can I complain about the “Customer Service Wrap-up every FRIDAY”?
Be short and simple. For instance, instead of the link maybe:
Leave a Reply but
1) Non-related or ill-mannered comments will be deleted.
2) Spamming will get your commenting rights completely removed.

Maybe you could truncate the ‘www’ on the urls? Just a suggestion…

@bRO Player: Yup, I haven’t been able to do the Friday CS Post anymore. I’ll try to do that more often in the future. @Lil Tetrax: You can go to the CS Page for that, hehe.

I don’t think it is a good idea.
It would be much better if there aren’t any “exclusivity” with regards to the news/reports that you provide. I like your blog because of its randomness.
But if reorganizing gives good revenues, why not :)

What I meant was more like why would you compromise to make a post every friday because of people that post non-related CS comments?
If you post a CS topic (whenever you wish to do it), it will be on-topic to post CS related things there. If you don’t, it won’t.

ba’t di na lang po:
ro.waukster.com
ro2.waukster.com
pw.waukster.com
or better yet:
waukster.com/ro
waukster.com/ro2
waukster.com/pw
i like the latter more since it doesn’t need sub-domains… and easier to memorize and type…

@Wauks
Hahaha Yup. But others think that this is a CS page. Seen countless complaints in the comments Hahaha.

I think the downside of this is SEO. Your site will definitely be affected by this re-organization. Now all spiders will have to crawl your site all over again.
