Philippine Ragnarok Online’s launch wouldn’t be complete without a party with our friends from the media. Level-up! Games organized a press conference to kick things off for Valkyrie last October 11, 2007. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to attend the press conference because I was busy with other stuff assigned to me by our Marketing Director and CEO. I would have loved to be there at the press conference because I was really involved in the conceptualization and launch of the Valkyrie Server. It took us around 1 year to convince the management of Level-up! to agree to have a free-to-play server. GM Tristan, GM Lilith, and the rest of the gang were there though and they were able to take pictures of the event.
Yes, we hired someone to cosplay a Valkyrie. Many thanks to GM Lilith for helping out with the costume and recruiting the cosplayer. More after the jump.
We also asked a few gamers to be there to celebrate the launch with us. Master Diwa, one of the most famous players in Chaos/Baldur, was there to help explain to the media what the gamer lifestyle is. Here’s a picture of Master Diwa with the lovely Valkyrie.
