Good day guys. I usually post the weekly update here which contains all of our promotions, item mall additions, and everything else under the sun related to Ragnarok Online. However, I’ll postpone that post for tomorrow and focus on the most pressing problem at hand – the recent waves of bugs and technical glitches we’ve been experiencing in siege. I know this is a very hot issue right now so I think it’s best that we openly discuss this today.
GUILD/PARTY BUGS
This was the most talked about issue in the Community Concerns post which I recently did a few days ago. Basically the guild disappears and there are various bugs in guild-related skills like Emergency Call. This happens frequently during siege time and has a direct impact on the Agit Lord Scoring.
SERVER DISCONNECTIONS
This is pretty self-explanatory. Users get disconnected randomly during siege and while this can be attributed to your ISP, we are still taking a look at this problem as well if it is based on the application or our hardware.
Those two are the most pressing issues that affects the players and Level Up. We have already escalated this to the upper management of Gravity since this really has an impact on RWC ‘08 and we are pulling all the stops to get this fixed at the soonest possible time. We’ve already ruled out hardware issues and we’re looking into the actual programming since this started when Nameless was patched to commercial servers. I cannot promise you guys dates or any concrete timelines today because I don’t want to disappoint you if it doesn’t happen. The best we can do is to really push Gravity to investigate and implement the fix.
To the players affected in Valkyrie, Baldur, and Tyr, I sincerely apologize. If I had the power to fix this, I would devote all of my time in trying to resolve it. These are times that I wish I was a game developer so I can just focus on improving and fixing the product. Believe me guys, I’m also getting tired of going public with apologies. It’s getting really frustrating and tiring to keep on addressing the same issues over and over again and not having the capability to fix it myself. I can relate with all of you because like you I’ve been an active and competitive Ragnarok player (for more than 3 years) before I joined netGames which was eventually merged to Level Up.
I hope you guys understand where I’m coming from and appreciate my blatant honesty about this issue (hehehe).
If there are any developments, the Ragnarok team will post an official announcement on the website. For now, rest assured that the people in charge of Level Up and Gravity are already looking into the problem.

i really miss RO past years nung nag sisimula pa lang ,free to play pa un, chaos palng ata un server , kakatawa pa ng build ko dun wiz na may str vit luk , sabi ko nun noob pa lang ako noon bat daw ganyan ang stats ko sabi ng friends ko bat may STR? kc bawas ng mage ko 1 lang kaya lagay me STR para medyo lumakas, bakit may VIT? kc para medyo mataas buhay liit kc buhay, bakit may LUK? kc para swertehin sa card at upgrade … its hurts po na gani2 ang ngaun ang RO…

“Whats the OS/distro of those servers?”
AEGIS is Windows Server software used along with Microsoft SQL Server by Gravity Corporation to run the official Ragnarok Online game servers. That’s from wikipedia. You can find a bit more detail there. Trying to add some useful info, last time I checked in bRO they had 20 map servers for one subscription server and 14 map servers for one free server. There is also some more servers for other purposes (e.g. login), but most machines used relate to map servers as above.
Being guildless in the middle of siege makes my memory go back to the end of 2005 in bRO, when that used to happen. It’s a sad thing Gravity will go through the same (already solved) mistakes.

Baldur Server Siege Bugs:
1. Ecall Bug… either delayed masummon mga members, or members get summoned to weird places… COME ON we got stuck in the GM room, knight guild wall, etc!!!! Thank god for butterfly wings!!! /e1
2. Sometimes get disconnected after EC
3. Super lag in agits but not in towns
4. Guild chat, party chat, and PM delays
5. When guildmates get EC or go into a WOE portal we have NO guild including our GM!!! /e1
Non- Siege related:
1. Character locked items: black bunny band, deviling hat, and gold tiara –> how long will this problem persist???!!!! /e1
Wild Card Nomination:
1. After topping up in MyLUG, I log into the wild card page… I dont have any voting points…I continuously refrshed d page and relogged for 30 mins after topping up but still nothing… so nagEXPIRE without giving me the chance to vote??? This is for all 3 accounts that I loaded since last week. /sob –> Well at least today I was finally able to vote!!! TALK ABOUT DELAY!!!
Please fix the problem. Nakakawalang gana magRO if ganito. /sob

Chief regarding sa Cursed of Gaeblog quest yung item that you will get from the NPC quest prof [FILE FOLDER] in exchange for the pile of books is currently item lock [ cant be deal, place in kafra, trade or sell ] paki ayus naman yung permission nito, nung nag quest kasi ako di ko muna tinapos then yung file folder nilagay ko sa character ko na isa since madaming laman yung kafra ko, now di ko matapos yung quest kasi di makuha yung item di tuloy makapag nameless. The worst part is yung File Folder weight 1 sya kaya yung may hawak di maka transcend, I dont think dapat maging item lock to wala naman ata sa logic. Paki lang po TY!

like delay party, delay chat etc. At sir wauks may tanong lang me regarding sa mercenary ,bakit pagclick ko ng status ng mercenary “RAGNAROK OLNINE NOT RESPONDING” wala nag HANG na ung RO pero ,dati di nmn ganyan yan eh, na-rirightclick ko nga dati, tapos na gagamit ko ung skills nya ewan ko bat nag ganyan ung mercenary ngaun.. paki tanong din po sa GRAVITY.. And di ba po mag kakaroon parang maintenance yan sa May 31, bago po ipalaro sa mga players like me ^^.. test muna nila try nila mag chat and party even try to make guild kung meron pa pong delay or lags.. suggest ko lang po ^^ ..

these are the reasons kng bkt nagquit n q s RO…a very expensive P2P MMO (that has an item mall!?) that has got to have the most hours when it comes to weekly maintenance..and yet has the least number of problems solved..all there is to love is now gone..

Seems like Gravity is having a really hard time.
Two weeks ago, Brazil Ragnarok Online (hosted by Level Up Games) got a terrible bug where almost 80% of active accounts on the most populated server (monthly-fee based server) got their zenny totally wipped. Brazil Level Up Games said it was Gravity’s fault because of a new Trial Account and Novice Land Patch, about max level capped at 30, maximum zenny capped at 50.000z, account bound starter items and a few more stuff.
I wonder why do we a have a Sakray Test Server on every Official Ragnarok Server, doesn’t they actually stress-test the new stuff before install them at commercial servers???
