Ultimate Hack Protection: Level-up Mobile Account Lock Service

I’ve personally experienced the horrible feeling you get when you log-in your account and you find all of your equipment and characters gone. Hacking is still one of the most pressing issues in the online gaming industry. It really sucks when everything you’ve worked so hard for suddenly disappears just like that. To give Level-up Games more security, we’ve come up with the Level-up Mobile Account Lock Service! As the name suggests, you can literally “ban” yourself using your mobile phone so no one can access your characters until you decide to unlock it again.

Find out how to avail of this service after the jump! I strongly suggest that you do this since a lot of people are really prone to hacking.

Directly taken from the Level-up Mobile Website:

1.) This service can only be used by SMART Subscribers
2.) To start, text Levelup and send to 299 to download the Level-up Menu which you’ll be able to access in the SMART services section of your mobile phone.
3.) You need to LINK your Mobile Number to your My Level-up Account. Type MYLU LINK send to 299. You will then receive a confirmation message that the operation was successful.
4.) Go to ACCOUNT section in the Level-up Menu.

Lock or Unlock Game Accounts:
Enjoy the freedom of being able to lock and unlock your game accounts to prevent unauthorized logins.

Lock your game account to prevent unwanted access:
- Click “lock” from the account menu.
- A game list will appear.
- Choose your game that you wish to lock.
- You will need to enter your username and password.
- Your game’s account will then be locked.

Unlock your game account to allow access:
- Click “unlock” from the account menu.
- A game list will appear.
- Choose your game that you wish to unlock.
- You will need to enter your username and password.
- Your game’s account will then be unlocked.

Change Password:
- Allows you to change password using your mobile phone.
- Under the account menu click on “Change Password”.
- Type your username and click “send”.
- Type old password and click on “send”.
- Type your new password and click “send”.
- You have now successfully changed your password.

  2. Pls inform a backup way if a cell is stolen how and their account is locked or not what could they do.


  3. Awts mas matindi ata toh .. Habang ikaw ay naglalaro tapos nag ring/sms alert ayun fone mo, ayun pati yung phone lumalake ang risk para manakaw. Tsaka kung effective man ito, ouch naman sa SMART subscriber. Lastly, mas okay pa ata yung magbigay ng username/password ( if stup`id enough ) ingame coz pwede mo ma printscreen tapos ma trace yung humihingi ng info pero d2 pag d2 pag text mo at enter username/password mas lalong hindi natin siguro kung safe ba talaga ( prove me wrong /gg ) or baka sa player din mapunta ang txt mo. Wag kalimutan maraming tao ang genius, for sure meron ng idea paano ma counter yan /omg


  4. Provide a Secondary Alternative for the User/Gamer to Access their Accounts(like the LandLine,E-mail Address, or Send the user a message or Link in which he/she can access using the E-mail Address) *^_^* More Power to LUphilippines


  5. Bakit smart lng pano naman mga Globe huhu pati mas maganda siguro kung may alternative way to lock/unlock example through e-mail.. gagawa kami ng special e-mail para jan na di nmn gagamitin sa iba except for locking and unlocking… that’s much safer.. I think

  10. I asked our New Media Director what happens if you lost your phone - all you have to do is to file a ticket to unlink the cellphone number. Even if your phone gets lost, the thief can’t change your account details unless he has your account details with him.

    IMO the cellfone would be one of the best item you can store some info bout everything special to you at yung susulat mo sa papel/notebook at tago mo nalang somewhere sa hauz yung secreto. Coz now adays, saving useful info in email adds are not that secured anymore. Tsaka file a ticket? Baka copy/paste answer na naman at somehow as always takes time at all of a sudden its too late for that. Im not against bout the idea like this but i dont know how much naman kaya yung cost every send/recieve?

  16. whatever you say, globe users will never have this service. you must remember that LU was taken over by ePLDT. smart is the subsidiary/parent(?) company of pldt.


  17. Hi Wauks, the syntax for linking your phone to your myLU account is actually “MYLU LINK ” and send it to 299! But only for Smart subscribers ;)


  18. pwede ba i-link dalwang Mylevel up accounts in one sim card??? lagot bawal na ipahiram ang cellphone sa iba wahahahaha….

    1. buy another smart sim card just for this and keep it in ur wallet hahaha… just insert the sim card in un phone when ur goin to lock/unlock ur accounts…

    Note: ndi e2 advisable sa mga burara sa gamit bka kc un sim ang mawala mo imbes un phone wahahahaha…..

    OR!! buy another cheap cellphone with a smart sim card and leave it in ur house!! hehehe…

    @wauks pwede ba 2 sim cards gamitin pang lock’unlock ng accounts?? masmaganda ata un pra may back up sim ka incase mawala un isa…
