Turning Online Gaming into e-Sports
I was reading some of the comments on the Game Heroes and one of the most frequent questions is how will it help the campaign to turn gaming in to e-Sports? Game Heroes will stand as the primary symbol to push this campaign. All the other details are actually existing and things we do on a regular basis. Level Up has several tournaments done in internet cafes and malls monthly for different games. The prizes are usually cash or gadgets which can fetch you a heft amount if you decide to sell it. The competition is fierce and the top teams really train as hard as they can to make sure they’re in position to win these tournaments. The biggest tournament of course is Level Up LIVE, wherein we give out more than 1,000,000 pesos in prizes.
Game Heroes servers to enshrine the players that shine through these competitions and through major contributions to the community. I know that there were some concerns raised on the players we featured but don’t forget that we will be constantly adding more players to the website almost on a weekly basis! We already have an initial line-up and we will be adding new players this Friday. Note that this project won’t end this week. This is a constant effort to pay tribute to you guys.
I highly encourage you to nominate players who you think should be considered as potential game heroes by going to your respective forums. My dream for this site is to eventually have hundreds of players per game - making it a virtual hall of fame for the best this country has to offer in terms of online gaming.
Cheers everyone and I hope you all support Game Heroes!

I think the 3 featured in the game heroes website deserve to be there. Pioneers naman sila. People who have been playing the game for such a long time deserve to be recognized.
But I don’t think may maitutulong ang site para ma-enganyo ang mga new players. Nauubos na ang players ng RO, and it would be nice to have a site welcoming new players or at least featuring them. Para naman ma-feel ng mga new players na it’s worth playing RO.

New players? d2 sa amin dati daming nglalaro ng RO… kya lng for some reason nag-iba ang connection ng RO sa SMART BRO… as in SUPER LAG… marami na rin akong kakilala na smart bro users na ganyan din na-experience… ayun mga quit na rin… sabi nila naayus na daw… oh well… cguro isang factor din yun kung bakit nauubos na rin ang players ng RO… buti pa dati maganda pamamalakad… ngaun? pera pera na lng…

Yeah.. and Sicorro would’ve been an instant candidate, if only he hadn’t been into PHP trading.. Hehe.. reminiscing lang, I remember people then worshipping him like he’s beyond GMhood (well, he managed to beat one, didn’t he?)
Pwede ba magsuggest, akhit NPC? Donita and Ligaya! dahil sa kanila naging abundant ang GR cards sa pRO.. hehe :)

Start mimicking korea, gumawa sana muna kayo ng premiere/stable leagues sa mga games ninyo bago gumawa ng hall of fame para dito.
: )

I really have a bad comment about the Game Heroes idea but I’ll just keep it to myself. Don’t want to hurt anyone out there. Instead I’ll just have to say this… the pictures of the people in Game Heroes are making them look like race car drivers instead of gamers lol.
