Sony Ericsson’s C905 - 8.1 MP Camera Phone

Let the geek fest continue! Sony Ericsson is also coming out with a new kick ass mobile phone that really tops all of the phones in the market in one aspect. Get this guys, the new C905 has an 8.1 Mega Pixel Camera! It’s literally as good as the digital camera that’s being offered by Canon (IXUS). It’s amazing how fast technology evolves. Just a few years ago the best MP mobile phone was at 3.2 Mega Pixel. After that, Nokia came out with the 5 MP cameras. Now we have one with 8.1 MP! It’s only a matter of time before another mobile phone manufacturer comes out with a 12.0 MP mobile phone.

Here are the phone specs as per Yuga’s post.

With all that MP we’re talking about, the C905 Cyber-shot comes in with a 2GB Memory Stick Micro (M2). The screen is 2.4” scratch-resistant mineral glass display. You can send your photos wirelessly from your phone to the TV via Wi-Fi (using DLNA), or connect with wires using the TV-Out Cable ITC-60.

The C905 Cyber-shot™ will be available in three colors (Night Black, Ice Silver and Copper Gold) in selected markets from 4th quarter of 2008. There are no details what type of lens is used or what’s the size of the sensor but I’m guessing it’s gonna be the usual Carl Zeiss optics as well.

    wakokokoko ang lupet naman!!!
sigurado ang lupit din ng price nyan wahehehehe^^

  5. If this would be sold for around 40k then I’m okay with my N95 since 5 megapixel na sya. I’ll just wait for touch screen phone nalang. 4th quarter pa naman to lalabas anyway.

  6. I wonder. What’s next? A celfone with a digicam with SLR capabilities? Changeable lenses, ISO, SS, appertures etc. >__>

Mobile phones today are getting more complicated by the minutes.

  7. Sony Ericsson really kicks Nokia’s Ass hahaha bigtime! X1>N95

    S.E. C905

F/2.8 5.91mm Focal Length ( This is a new Lens COmpared to 5.2mm of k800/k810/k850)

DI mo xa pwede compare sa digicam. di mo rin pwedeng savhng mas malinaw na xa sa digicam. C905 doesnt have an optical zoom. and it uses a CMOS sensor rather than a CCD sensor.

    Note:

A 5 Megapixel Dedicated Digital camera can beat this 8 megapixel cameraphone.

  12. C905 Pros and Cons:

    Pros:

    Sleek Design
    8 Megapixel Cam
    Xenon Flash
Photo Led Flash (used for video recording)
    WIFI
    GPS

    Cons:
    NOT A SMARTHPHONE
    SMALL DISPLAY 2.4″ is inadequate
    No Optical Zoom
QVGA VIDEO ONly ( Unlike Nokia n93/n95/n82) VGA @ 30fps

  13. I want ^_^

  14. For me… Nokia is still the best when it comes to video…Why? because….30 FPS!

Ewww slider phone = creaks, wobbly slider.

    And defective/broken ribbon cable, anyone?

  18. @angel-killer

oh yes i agree . there is no perfect phone.

but i think they can make a perfect phone.

but b’coz of business strategies……………… that’s why there is no perfect phone.

    @jerome

S.E. C905 Records a video at QVGA resolution at 30 FPS

its a quarter VGA. so the VGA Has 4x More resolution than QVGA

  19. DO WANT.
