RWC 2007: TEAM PH BEATS INDONESIA & BRAZIL
It is with great joy that I report to everyone that the Ragnarok World Championship 2007 Philippine Team is officially now in the SEMI-FINALS! Team PH Armada brought the house down when they were able to take out Indonesia, which was the team that defeated us way back in 2004. Team PH was able to close it out at 2-0 without suffering any major casualties. After a few hours of waiting, Team PH stood face to face against Team Brazil. This match would determine if we could enter the semi-finals tomorrow morning. Level-up’s top management, including Ben Colayco and Jane Walker, watched in awe as both Level-up Teams clashed in an epic battle. More stories and pictures after the jump!
To those who don’t know, Brazil Ragnarok Online is being published by Level-up Games International. They’re like a sister team and it was really unfortunate that we had to fight so early in the tournament. The first match was quick, as Team PH’s Champion was singled out and taken down. Brazil took the early lead at 1-0. Team PH bounced back during the second round as the Champion was able to place a well-timed Extremity Fist to Brazil’s Professor, this move tied the series at 1-1. The last and deciding match was even more intense, as the two teams immediately engaged each other in a melee. However, Team PH was able to eliminate Brazil’s Professor once again, paving the way for a 2-1 victory and a ticket to the Semi-Finals tomorrow!
Unfortunately, there was an air of doubt and controversy here in Seoul. I know that this is hard to believe, but the RWC servers here in Korea are actually lagging. This caused a lot of teams, including Philippines, Brazil, and Japan, to protest. This is simillar to the experience we had for the 8-Team RWC Tournament which we did online. Apparently it’s innate to the RWC Server to lag when it’s done online. Personally I find that weird since most of the private servers in various shops are online and they don’t lag as much. Anyway, here are some of the pictures that I took for the day:

We woke up around 8AM and quickly ate our breakfast. The openning parade started at 9AM. We had enough time to take some pictures though, Lol.
