It’s already 4:00AM here in Seoul, Korea. I’m having some trouble trying to get some sleep so I decided to put in one more blog post before I go back to bed. I just wanted to let you guys know the schedule for today, as well as some thoughts on the upcoming semi-finals match between the Philippines and Korea. For the schedule, the semi-finals match start at around 10:00AM. Team Philippines will take on Korea and eURO will battle against Thailand. Like what I said in one of my previous posts, Team Korea dominated Japan in their first match. When Korea went up against Russia, they were also able to bounce back after suffering one loss. Team PH, on the otherhand, was also able to deal with Indonesia and Brazil. More analysis and thoughts after the jump.

Korea’s style is really aggressive. Their line-up is composed of the following: Champion, Professor, High Wizard, High Priest, Minstrel/Clown, Paladin, and an Assassin Cross. Their strategy is comparable to a blitzkrieg, wherein they bum rush the opposing team and they try to do a shock-and-awe thing by coming out with guns blazing. The SinX is doing multiple Soul Destroyers with the attack speed amplified by the Bragi’s Poem of their Minstrel. In their match against Russia, Korea suffered a loss when their offensive tactics backfired when their Professor moved to fast. Team Russia capitalized by zeroing in on the Professor, taking him out. The succeeding matches told a different story though as Korea made sure that they moved as one when they engaged Russia.

Team Philippines, on the other hand, has a line-up that will be a good match for Korea’s playing style. I won’t give away the details yet but most of you probably know already the main strategy of Armada. When the battle starts later, home court advantage will obviously be in favor of the Korean team and this will give them much needed momentum. This will be a difficult and challenging fight and at this point let’s just give our prayers and faith to the members of Team Philippines. I don’t know if I can rush back to the hotel to do an update after the match. Milton will probably update Lieza anyway so she’ll be the one to break the news to everyone – good or bad. I’m confident though that we will give one hell of a fight against the local favorite!

That’s it until the match later! Wish us luck people! Wauks out.

    LABAN PILIPINAS!
