The entire Ragnarok Team plus a lot more people from LU were at SM North EDSA yesterday for the RWC’08 Regional Tournament. According to the security guards, players were already lining up at the entrance as early as 6:00AM. I came in around after lunch and as usual there were technical problems with the game servers which caused a delay in the tournament. I was able to take a lot of pictures and I was even able to turn the pictures into a 3 minute video which I’ll also embed in this post.

Please remember that I’m not a professional video editor so this was crudely done on my Macbook using iMovie. Maybe when I get more free time I’ll study how to use Movie Maker, hehe.
Anyway, if you watched the video, you’ll know that Guildless (Coalescence) won the first day. They’ll be fighting the day 2 champion and we’ll have our NCR representative later tonight. In terms of strategy, most of the guilds were using more damage dealers this time around (SINX) and they still prioritized taking out the Professor of the opposing team. It looks like that will be a standard strategy even in succeeding regional tournaments.

Majority ng kills were done by champs EFing the profs, pero mostly long range attacks ginagamit. Pero overall, ok mga laban.

Day 2 was definitely full of entertaining matches and upsets. I would have to agree that the finals with Guildless vs El Muchachos was epic indeed. The scores went like.
Round 1 – Guildless
Round 2- Muchachos
Round 3 – Muchachos
Round 4 – Guildless
Round 5 – Muchachos *
Round 5, Muchachos managed to kill 2 Guildless members, Guildless stayed alive with 5 members. Even without their Champ or SinX, they fought back and managed to kill one Muchacho member with like less than a minute left. If they got another one, it would have tied, but Muchachos managed to take them out after that.
Both teams earned the respect of everyone that was there from that great match.

because dun sa attendant sabi ko ksma ako sa 7on7 and nagbago lineup nmin iba cnali., e nklgay sa rules bwal sa early birds ung ssli sa 7on7., just a misunderstanding lang e., nsbi ko sa atendant na andun ksli ako pero nkapag sign pren ako ng pngalan sa early birds and dun lang nga sa line up wala pnglan ko and nsbi ko dun na ssli ako.,
