The Ragnarok Philippine Championships 2008 finally came to a close this afternoon at Mall of Asia. 8 teams across the country battled it out to determine who will carry the honor of bearing our flag and representing the Philippines in the upcoming Ragnarok World Championships on October 18-19 at the World Trade Center. For the first time in history, we have back-to-back champions. Bozanian Beast Fighters, last year’s RPC 2007 champion, ended up winning the title once again. This time they faced off against Renegades from the Tyr server.
Boza defeated Renegades 3-0 in the finals. I won’t talk about the strategy yet since this may give tips to our competitors from other countries. I have tons of pictures and videos from the event and I’ll post them tomorrow (Sunday).

In fairness po sa renegades magagaling din po sila. dami nilang nabitawan azura and tumatagal ang laban. Nice game po sa lahat. and ganda ng pinakita nilang sportmanship. walang ka bitter2 sa katawan.

perenial losers? haha. marami nagexpect na magiging BOZA vs BOZA ang finals with the way na nabuo ang semis matches. kami rin namang Renegades we expected it that way. we expected na hanggang semis lang kami… until we pulled off an upset by defeating the other boza team. we lost the finals match to the better boza team — the BEST team in the country. ^_^
we accept the loss naman kasi tlga namang magaling eh. pero memorable parin ang campaign namin this year. we didn’t expect na ung RESURRECTED TEAM namin — the one that had to go thru the resu team matches and had the disadvantage of needing THREE WINS against illuminati (who needed only two) on the first match — to go all the way to the finals.

It was an exciting RPC campaign this year for the Incredible Hulk Alliance of TYR Server. Just like what Fred told earlier, we were not expecting to go all the way to the finals. Being part of the Final 8 is already an achievement to us. Contented na kame dun, SUPER BONUS na talaga umabot kame sa finals. Great job Rene! Keep the faith.
