Ragnarok Valkyrie Server: Full Poring Alchemist Event

Philippine Ragnarok Online’s free-to-play server, Valkyrie, will have an in-game event which we activated before in the Thor server. The title of the event is “Full Poring Alchemist”. Anime fanatics would definitely relate the title of this event to the popular anime, “Full Metal Alchemist”. FMA is actually one of my favorite anime of all time, and I’m still hoping that they’d do another season. Anyway, I’m straying from the topic of this post. What’s in it for players who do the Full Poring Alchemist Event? Simple - LOTS OF EXP!

Mechanics of the Full Poring Alchemist event after the jump!

The mechanics are pretty simple. Go to Arbard in Alberta and he’ll ask you to collect materials based on your character level. If you come back and give him all he needs, you will be rewarded with EXP and an in-game item. Here are the item requirements and the corresponding prizes:

Levels 14-30
Talk to Arbard, if you agree to help him in his research he will ask you to gather these items for him : 200 Jellopy, 100 Clover, 100 Empty Bottle, 50 Chrysalis, 50 Feather, 50 Spawn, 10 Apple Juice, 50 Snake Scale, 50 Pointed Scale.
*Give the items to Arbard and he will give you 1 Gift box and 7995 EXP in return.

Levels 31-60
Talk to Arbard, if you agree to help him he will ask you to gather these items: 100 Garlet, 100 Skel Bone, 100 Venome Canine, 50 Short Daenggie, 25 Rotten Bandage, 25 Turtle Shell and 7 Fin.
*Give the items to Arbard and you’ll get 1 Old Blue Box and 330188 EXP in return.
Levels 61-80
Talk to Arabard, if you agree to help him he will ask you to gather these items: 150 Wing of Dragonfly, 75 Sea-Otter Leather, 50 jack of Pumpkin, 50 Golden Hair, 25 Coral Reef, 20 Bookclip of Memory, 25 Foolishness of the Blind, 10 Gold.
*Give the items to Arbard and then you’ll get 1 Old Violet Box and 3681024 EXP in return.

Levels 80 and above
Talk to Arabard, if you agree to help him he will ask you to gather these items: 500 Ogre Tooth, 100 Turtle Shell, 50 Old Suriken , 30 Little Evil Wing, 10 Evil Horn, 10 Reins, 1 Tiger Skin.
*Give the items to Arbard and then you’ll get 1 Old Violet Box and 4744680 EXP in return.

I don’t think the quests are repeatable. This should be uploaded in Valkyrie either this Wednesday or the week after that. You might as well start hunting for the materials listed above. Good luck everyone!

    I suggest prior to that in game event in Valkyrie, please fix first the DC/unable to connect problems. Many players pissed off already aside from the delayed chat, party, etc. Hoping for a good compensation on this matter.


  2. @Ottavio: I’m working on the compensation. As for the fix, the ICT Team and Gravity are both still working on it. I think they’ve already ruled out some problems and they’re now focusing on the network hardware at ePLDT.

    Thanks. I think Valkyrie players deserves that compensation because this past few days, the DC/unable to connect problem and delayed chat/party really pisses off Valkyrie community, not to mention the latency as well.

    wala man lang compensation para sa mga FS. na nadelay ang pag papalvl dahil sa party.. aw

  8. I sure hope they fix the DC, lag, and login problems before they implement any compensation or events in Valkyrie. Don’t want any compensations gone to waste nor having more problems for LU in the customer relations department. RB is littered with complaints, especially in the Valkyrie threads.

  10. talagang DC kau lagi. kc nga wala GM na active para mag check. ang inaabangan nila ay pag sira na ang TOP-UPS at hypermart tsaka pa ang sila kikilos. un nga mga nag dudupe eh DEDMA lang nila eh. DC pa kaya? try mo mag top up NODC. try mo mag LOGin 5mins bago ka makalaro. sa pag lalaro mo makakakita ka pa ng duplicator at BOT.

  14. @raine: asa ka pa na maayus yan. magload ka na lang daw para malakas ka. pag sira VALK wafakels yan sila. w8 mo lang mag kakaduplicate na rin sa valk server. kc nga kahit sa may bayad/load or COMERCIAL servers eh may duplicate. panu pa kaya sa free server.? hypermart at TOP-UP lang naman LAGI ang stable sa kanila. di na ba kayo nakakahalata??


  15. Dapat po maging repeatable ang quest kasi dati nung nagka event din dun sa Thor, repeatable ang quest niya, pede paulit-ulit pero syempre magbabago rin yung mga quest items depende sa lvl mo

  17. While the quest does seem nice and all, the issues currently plaguing the server simply ruin the whole thing:
    * encrypted packets have made logging in - and sometimes staying in game - difficult to almost impossible
    * bots have been able to bypass the encrypted packets meant to block them, making it even more tempting to bot than to use the conventional client

    Tell me kuya Wauks, is there REALLY a third party anti-bot in the works? Because frankly, we the players are becoming rather jaded with LU’s promises of fair gameplay in Valkyrie. And truth to be told, it’s likely that only botters will benefit from that quest since they’re the only ones who stay in-game long enough to actually get the items needed, as several manual players are blocked by the very technology that was supposed to block the bots.

    We need a working server, not additional PR.

    Oh, and speaking of PR, could you talk to those guys over at Customer Support and tell them to fix their act? Only a few players are willing to interact with them nowadays due to their poor PR (or maybe it’s simply their incompetence?). Oh, and pass that message over to the Vanguards as well, as people are losing faith in them.

  21. @Yralyn: wala po papansin sau. kahit gaano pa kasama ang gameplay nila.. who cares? e2 lang sure dyan BASTA KUMIKITA walng pakielam yan mga yan.. pipiliin ng tao mag BOT kesa mag laro manualy. paalala lang sa mga players. —> DUPLICATE kumakalat pa rin. mas marami kesa dati. e2 lang masasabi ko… mga nag lalaro ng mano mano at nag sasayang ng effort para lumakas ay kakawawain lang ng BOT users at DUPLICATORs. gud luck pRO players


  22. Bakit ba kung madaling-araw ay 1 try ko lang ay naka-log on na agad ako sa valkyrie…3k+ lang ang tao. Pero ngayong hapon na 4k+ ang tao ay laging failed to connect. Hindi kaya sa mismong server setting ng valkyrie ang me diprensya??? Naka-set lang ba na hanggang 4k lang ang tao sa valkyrie??? Bad trip mga tao rito sa valkyrie…lalo na yung mga gumastos sa cash merchant. Sana mag-maintenance para maayos lang ang connection problem…kahit abutin pa ng 1 week basta maayos lang.


  23. @Decikator: di nga po nila aayusinyan.. tagal na eh. almost 1 month na sira VALKYRIE server. kawawa un mga nag lalaro sa computer shops na gusto mag laro kc everytime na lalaro sila lagi failed 2 connect. try nila palagi tapos wala. oanu time nila sa shop na dapat nakakalaro na kagad. tapos panu kung 2 sila magpaparty sana. parehas di makconnect. madidisappoint un. panu kung may aero sa shop na un. tendency nun mag laro na lang na iba. again duplicate items di pa rin na reresolve. dati tapos sa freya 4k + ngayun bandang 11pm pa lang 1.8k na lang… valk server naman 4k ng player paag gabi 3k+ pero 2k+ bot pa. aw.. third party program na anti sa bot?? anu un? haka haka?

  25. Sir Wauks pakipalitan naman po ung mga quest items. Sobrang hirap lalo sa Valkyrie tsaka di naman repeatable so kahit ung madaling makuha man lang na items.

  35. Ung quest items palitan nyu naman po ng madaling makuha na items, total di naman repeatable ang quest. Baka sa commercial servers payag pa ako kung yan mga quest items, pero sa Valkyrie? Impossible na atang may makagawa nyan eh.

    1. Walang income LU sa bots sa Valkyrie. Bumibili na lang sa mga players ang mga botters gamit zeny kaya sa manual players pa rin galing ang income ng LU.
    2. Kaya ko kinukulit si Waukeen about the anti-bot na “third party” kasi siya mismo ang nagsabi tungkol dun.
    3. Better the optimist than the pessimist :)


  40. yeah wala ngang income ang LU sa mga bot. but as long as their income is pouring in from other sources (mga manual players) it seems like wala nman tlga silang pakialam kung may bot man. i totally agree with hype on this one. guess what, news flash!! NABREAK NA NG OPENKORE ANG ENCRYPTED PACKETS NG LU!! talamak na nman ang mga bots. okay, ang lesson here is, kung ang openkore naguupdate ng bot, at ang LU ay hindi naguupdate ng anti-bot, who do you think will prevail? ding ding ding!! no points for the obvious answer. that’s why semi-quit muna ako sa valkyrie. no party system, no guildchat, no-good WOE, all bots, meron pa bang reason para maglaro?

    and btw,sir wauks, yung poring tower ko po invalid yung code, nag file na po ako ng ticket, inupdate ko na sa CS via phonecall, pero wala pa rin po. sigh

  44. it’s the bots that are making it hell for us real players to log on. bots will automatically and continually relog-on the server everytime the game detects their presence and kicks them. this puts an incredible load on the login servers, causing the lag and unsuccessful attempts we experience when trying to log on. its the cheating players that are ultimately ruining valkyrie, just like they ruined the commercial servers.

    lu isn’t entirely responsible for the problems we’re having. our cheaters in the player community have a lot to do with it too. yeah, botting is cheating, just in case you’ve forgotten about the spirit of good fun and fair play.

    lu, what you guys can do is allocate better servers and bandwidth to valkyrie, seeing that it’s the biggest server pro’s had in a long, long time.

    don’t listen to hecklers like hype, they probably work for some competing company. they probably feel the pinch of their users leaving them for a game they thought was already dying. anong magagawa mo, mahal ng tao ang pro?

    My Point si Decikator… bakit di nyo subukang magmaintence ng matagal… Kahit abutin ng ilang weeks… Para maayos yung Failed to connect / DC problem… kasi nga naman nasasayang ang pera ng mga bumibili ng NEO items kung di naman nila magamit ng maayos… and what’s the use of deleting/Banning(tama ba??) IPs of those who criticized the LU team’s work… dapat nga mas machallenge kayo dahil sa mga puna nila… hindi yung nakakita kayo ng post ng tinutuligsa kayo kaya ididelete yung post / ibaban nyo yung IP… mali yun (kung naiintindihan mo Waukz)… critics make your work more perfect… till now January na wala paring pagbabago sa Valkyrie… Nagbaban kayo depending on how many times you log your account… that’s not fair… sa hirap kumonnect sa Valkyrie, mas pipiliin mong magcopy paste kesa mapudpod ang daliri mo kakatype ng password mo… at kakacopy paste mo then lagi namang failed to connect ibaban ka nila for 1 week… parang lokohan yun di ba? yung friend ko ganyan ang nangyari… gumastos kami sa larong toh na sa una lang pala matino… Sana before kayo maglagay ng kung ano-anong in-game events/quest and etc., ayusin nyo muna yung main problem: The Failed to connect and DC problem… dinadivert nyo yung problem sa iba eh… Hope to see your response Waukz… And I hope na di madelete or maban ang IP ko…
