Ragnarok Valkyrie Server FAQ IV

Ragnarok Valkyire Server launches this coming Wednesday! That’s only a few nights sleep away and the entire Ragnarok Team is really excited to see it finally go live. On Monday we will be populating the Valkyrie Teaser site with more content. We’ll be posting the final server settings and the initial item mall list on the site. I’d like to take this opportunity to clarify some of the settings and correct some of the misconceptions about the Valkyrie Server. Hopefully this post will shed some more light and will give you guys a better perspective on what the environment of Valkyrie is. I’ll tackle the following issues after the jump: Rare Drops, Basic Server Settings, Card Drops, Emergency Call, and Siege Schedule.

Ragnarok Valkyrie Basic Server Settings
- 3 Character Slots Initially Available
- Teleport Skill is removed completely
- Upgrade Limits and Chances are RETAINED
- Upgrading costs have increased (Zenny)
- Fly Wing/Butterfly Wing Removed
- EXP - 1.5x (50% More)
- PK-Enabled Maps
- Free-to-Play: No need for subscription
- Emperium Removed (sold through mall 50 PHP)
- Elunium drops changed to Rough Elunium
- Decreased drop rate for slotted Equipment (All slotted equips can be bought at the Mall though)
- MVP Rare Drops are RETAINED (e.g. Drake still drops Corsair, Orc Lord still drops Grand Circlet)
- More rewards for MVP player for boss hunt (not just stupid stuff like right now)
- Not all rare drops are sold at the mall (selective)

Card Drops
- MVP/Boss Cards Removed (Event Prizes and Special Item Mall Sales)
- Pre-selected PVP Cards Removed (Sold through Mall)
- Creamy Card, Peco Peco Egg, Pupa, Fabre, Drops, Chon Chon, Picky, Lunatic cards Removed (Sold through Mall)
- Other Cards are RETAINED, normal drop rates (but also sold through mall)
- Not all Cards are sold at the mall

Emergency Call
- Item Mall will have item that allows guild master to do e-call in MVP maps (Limited)

Siege Schedule
- Twice a Week Only
- Wednesday 7-9
- Saturday 2-4

IMPORTANT NOTE: VALKYRIE SERVER OPENS WITH 3X EXP FOR THE FIRST WEEK
IMPORTANT NOTE 2: VALKYRIE SERVER IS INCLUDED FOR RPC 2008

Based on the information above - you can actually play without ever paying but it will be a little difficult. Please understand that this is a business after all and we need to strike a balance so it’s fair for both the company and the community. Besides, it’s easy to slot stuff since the Item Slot Enchant is now available at Rachel. Lastly, we’re having a lot of meetings about bot security lately. Gravity is going to give us an update early next week on what we can do again for Thor. Hopefully we can apply those settings to Valkyrie. In lieu of that, we’ll probably have to create a Midgard Police program dedicated to Valkyrie. More details on that soon.

That’s it for now. I’ll try to give a more detailed update on the Item Mall sometime this weekend. I hope you guys have a relaxing Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. I plan on sleeping the entire day tomorrow since I was really stressed this week from all the load at work. Valkyrie on October 10! w00t!

  7. Wauks could you please clarify on the creamy card info? Sabi mo sa FAQ III tatanggalin sa game yung Creamy Card, sabay eto sabi mo ilalagay sa Armory yung Creamy Card…. ano ba talaga?


  8. Add ko nga pala, are Ghostring and Angelring considered boss type? Kasi kahit tanggalin ninyo Doppel Card, Drake Card, Bapho Card, etc., problema rin kung magkarambulan mga tao sa GR para sa card niya (lalo na kung mga nagrarambulan eh mga bot…).

  14. Just a suggestion:
    Don’t open the valkyrie server until bots have been stopped. I just had a dream, and the valkyrie server had lots of bots, and almost no people playing themselves. I don’t want this server to be bot-populated. It’s f2p, people will surely make dozens of accounts and then bot in non-pk-enabled maps. Although flywings are removed, their bots can still move around on foot.

Suggestion lang po Sir Waukster what if mag add kaya ng image verification sa log in ng game bukod sa username and password mag add kayo ng image verification yung parang ginawa sa yahoo messenger baka effective. sa mga ayaw ng bot anu sa tingin nyo??? at sa botter naman you are the worst loser!


  24. sir wauks magkano nmn ung mga boss cards? para nmn mapaghandaan n namin. dba sabi mo kapag binili n namin ung card samin na un forever, hindi n un mawawala sa character namin. pangit nmn kac kapag ganun sa freestyle na may expiration ang mga gamit or items. teleport removed completely right? pero pede ung creamy card right? sabi mo po sir wauks teleport skill is wala na sa mga aco or priest, hindi kaya luge cla ka kasi nga pede nmn creamy card?

  29. my ged, 2 yrs na akong hindi nakapaglaro ng ragna, oh well, lakad nlang kasi walang tele, hahaha, try ko valkyrie pag ma finish na yung download sa torrent… (-__-) sembreak (^___^)

  31. Sabgay nung beta hanggang Comodo days eh sobrang tipid ko nun. Inde ako gumagamit ng pots at umuupo lang at umaasa sa regen. Tapos inde rn ako gumagamit ng wings, tele, kafra tele & warp portal kasi sobrang tipid ako nun. /heh Mas challenging lang ngayon kasi kakapanibago eto ulet.   40. No to bots,creamy cards, and fly wings. But butterfly wings?
    The best solution is to completely stop bots.

    A suggestion: organize a competition where people suggest how to stop bots, or people might as well present solutions in stopping bots. This way, you can receive help not only from your staff but also from pRO players, or non RO players as well.

    Here are my suggestions:
    Change server IP addresses frequently(if possible).
    Implement CAPTCHAs (like the other poster here said).


  41. i don’t think Valkyrie will be a “botters” server. First of all, Fly Wings and Teles are disabled, it would be hard for them to run away from the MOBS and they will be easily caught by GMs. This is just my Opinion

  43. for me, disabling tele skills are not the solution, i just hope if ever the bot programs will be disabled entirely, these skills and items will be available… tele skills makes life easier. parang nakakatamad tumakbo palagi. ^^

  48. W8, pano din ung skill ng aco na tele.pano mo palalabasin ung pneuma kung walang tele, pre-requisite nya tele lvl 2 at warp portal 4.
    Ibig bang sabihin wla n din skill n pneuma? o aalisin nila ang tele sa required skill? balak ko kc gumawa ng priest need ko din pneuma.
