Ragnarok Valkyrie Server FAQ III
We’re 6 days away from the official launch of Philippine Ragnarok Online’s latest server - Valkyrie! The response for this project has been tremendous, and we feel that this will definitely be one of the biggest things for the online gaming industry this year. Not only is this a way to combat private servers, this is also an opportunity for us to grow the market even further because of the business model and the unique server settings. This post is the long awaited part 3 of the Valkyrie Server FAQ series. I’m considering making a part 4 but that depends if I get more sensible questions that merit answering.
To be discussed today are the server settings, the Armory of the Gods, RPC 2008, and more. Check them all out after the jump.
What happens to the Creamy Card?
It’s taken out of the game. The monster won’t drop the card anymore and it was also purged from the OCA drop table.
Are there items that will only be available in Valkyrie that other servers won’t get?
Yes. We have a lot of items that we plan on releasing only to the Valkyrie Server. This includes a lot of the items you’ve seen that Japan Ragnarok released a few months ago. There are also a lot of scrolls, buffs, and potions that will be Valkyrie exclusive.
What are the plans for Thor since it looks like Valkyrie is getting a lot of attention?
Like what I said in my previous post, we will apply the anti-bot settings first in Thor. It’s something that’s been long overdue. If ever Thor’s population continues to drop, we can open up migration plans or maybe we can even transform Thor into another Valkyrie-type server. Everything is still up in the air. If ever it does come to that point, we will consult first with the Thor community.
Valkyrie Server Dedicated Midgard Police?
We’re currently studying this option. If ever this does push through, we will make announcements by next week at the very latest. Right now the team is focused on launching Valkyrie and that includes the national CD roll-out, posters, etc.
Will Valkyrie Server be included in Philippine Ragnarok Online Tournaments? RPC 2008?
Definitely. Valkyrie, like Thor and Urdr, is considered part of the official family of pRO. There will be Team Valkyrie for RPC 2008.
What are the Valkyrie Server PK settings?
Ideally, guildmates and partymates should not damage each other. We’re still testing this and having this feature fixed because so far this doesn’t work in our internal testing. Skills such as Knockback, Endure, Assumptio, and Basilica will also work in PK-enabled maps. There will be NO DAMAGE penalty and damage can be seen.
Another hot question is what exactly are the items which will be sold in the Armory of the Gods. I’ll discuss that in a separate post which I’ll do this weekend. I’ll probably give you guys a short list of the items that will be sold and their tentative prices. That way we can still get feedback and I can send it to the Ragnarok Team afterwards.

if creamy card gets removed, what happens to the antonio, wanderer cards and skills with similar effects? would they be also deleted?

Sir Wauks is valkyrie will be have a permanent modified exp (X2-3) like sakray and URDR?

@Aleph: 1.5x EXP similar to Thor (50% more than usual). @lantern: I’ll double check with regards to those cards that you mentioned.

If Thor ever gets VALKYRIZED, i hope you can compensate the worth of the top ups the community bought in the span of it’s life. I know this might get the “We did what we can” jig. But i expect a much bigger deal of a compensation if Thor becomes Free.

By the way our shop want to have a free RO with no load we’ll gonna play like the beta days sana magkaroon agad ng installer by this saturday or Monday para mainstall na anmin sa shop para makalaro na kami sa shop tutal excited din sila maglaro kc handa na sila gumastos sa gamit na lalabas sa hypermart we are very very excited about this server and we will wait for these sana maglabas na kau pow ng installer THX….

By the way ill gonna ask lng kung mga memo points like memo point in GH ay ibabalik kc it would help a lot mostly no tele and no flyw wing dun lng kc maganda ipalvl like acos Priest archers Hunter and mages too.

Alam niyo, Sir Wauks, kung mataas ang rates wala naman mag-bobother mag-bot eh. That’s how private servers thrive. And look at Sakray wala *sana* bot, di ba?

I would like to point out possible individuals/guilds/groups that will be botting in the new Valkryie server. However I cannot point it out to you here, just look around you. Madami na nag rerelease ng IP address + port settings for their precious 3rd party programs. Keep watch and stand your ground. Medyo OT ata ako pero just a forecast of what’s to come in the opening of Valk. Good luck.

Will the items from the armory be tradable? I think it’s an important feature on this kind of server, because many people don’t like to spend money on items and prefer to buy them with zeny. If there is demand and someone is willing to buy from the Armory and resell for zeny, it should be productive for both sides - and for LU, because the ones that would never buy some itens would buy them with zeny from others that would ultimately buy from the Armory.

will WOE mechanics work the same on valkyrie or will it have added mechanics/features? oh and will there be a certain lvl before a character can be PK’d or can PK in PK enabled maps?(like in URDR, i think its lv.55 or so..)

in the end, thorians magsa-suffer if ever ime-merge nyo kami sa mga botters… all because we believed in your marketing propaganda last year…
syempre may hype about valkyrie dahil bago… ganyan din naman thor last year… pero, history repeats itself… all you have to do is gwin lang yung ginawa nyo s thor and valkyrie would suffer the same thing…

Armors and weapons on f2p games disappear after a few days. Ex. a muffler (1) worth 10 php can only be used for 10 days, after the time limit, mawawala na iyon. A higher cost muffler (1) let’s say 500 php will last forever. Ganito din ba ang mangyayari sa mga bibilhing equipments sa Valkyrie?

walang sloted at cards = walang kwenta bot farmers. consumables na lang my kwenta. kahit magbot ka pa ng sankatutak na farmers konti lang benefits.
