Ragnarok Valkyrie Project

Last night a player posted on the Ragnaboards a screenshot of a loading screen shown on Philippine Ragnarok Online. The main message of the loading screen was simple - Ragnarok Online’s new free-to-play server: Valkyrie. The stipulated launch date was also put there. According to the loading screen, Valkyrie would go live sometime in October this year. I obviously cannot just shrug this off because it’s already been seen and posted in the official forums. All I can say at this point is that more information about this project will be revealed in the next few days. It’s something to jumpstart the community after the usual lull after the Ragnarok Philippine Championships Agit Lords.

So what’s Valkyrie all about? Everyone will just have to be patient for now and wait for more announcements about it. I’m sure that the RO Team and GM Tristan will start talking about this in detail in the next few days.

  2. @lowell: I can’t guarantee that the server settings that are in your link are the same with Valkyrie. All I can say for now is ibang-iba talaga settings ng Valkyrie. It will be the first of its kind.

  4. nyak! maglalagay nanaman kayo ng bagong server.. mahahati nanaman ang mga players nyan… katulad dati.. nag dagdag kayo ng nagdagdag ng server tpos ngayon pagsasamahin nyo uli.. ano kaya yun… tpos yung idadagdag nyo free to play server pa… baka lahat na ng player lumipat dyan…


  5. @Ken: Based from the feedback sa forums I don’t think a lot of existing players will jump to Valkyrie. It will be a new offering for potential gamers.

  12. Yan din yung sinabi ng iba nung lumabas ang Thor, pero hindi naman dun bumuhos ang mga players ah! I definitely think, it’ll be something to look forward to. Pag wala kang load, dun ka sa Valk server. Nyahaha.

    Sir Wauks, baka pede naman paki complete na ung Thor visually?. Kasi pansin ko, ung mga Damascus kasing itsura pa rin ng Ordinary knives. Or may di ako alam na nangyari nung umabsent ako sa RO?. Hmmn. :/

    So that there plan abandoning URDR and Thor then create a new server then later on it would suffer the same fate as URDR and Thor then another server again. It’s unfair for URDR and Thor players

  20. kaya nga F2P na nila ung bagong server pero may kapalit kunting twist ^.^ sekret pa daw hahaha
    ang cards ata di dinadrop ng monster nasa hypermart lahat. sana pati jobs nasa hypermart din. weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee


  21. i know how this will be set-up. monster drops are either minimal or no drops at all. teleport should not be allowed to prevent bots. most items if not everything will be purchased in an online mall. so it all boils down to one thing. this server will be dominated by the rich who has enough php to buy the best items, weapons and armors. brats who have lots of baon and even the less fortunate will spend most of their lunch money buying powerful items to be godlike. at the end of the day the players are all losers and level-up will still be the winner.

    the good catch here is if you play just for the community and interaction, then you probably will spend less.

  24. wauks, ask ko lang.. kc ang tagal tagal na eh.. ano na ba balita sa mga splitted accounts kasi may mga accnts kami na na split.. tapos ung supposed to be na nasa main accounts, napunta sa splitted accounts.. d ba un pwede pagsamahin nalang? sabi kc magkakaron ng option na ganun pero kelan pa? tagal tagal na kc eh.. nag file na kmi ng tickets ilang beses na.. tagal tagal na rin namin naghihintay tapos wala rin result.. wla manlang silang maitulong.. nakakainis na kc.. ilang months na since the merge.. and till now.. d mapakinabangan ung accnts ng maayos.. pa review naman ng tickets wauks.. eto mga tickets..

    22LHT with a follow up ticket B44VJ.. they closed the ticket without even giving a solution for the problem..
