Philippine Ragnarok Online, the most successful MMORPG in the country, will be launching the Valkyrie server on October 10, 2007. Valkyrie will be free-to-play and it will have several PK-enabled maps to spice things up when players start to hunt boss monsters. Imagine going after Orc Lord and then you find yourself flat on your back before you even get to him because an Assassin Cross caught you with a Soul Destroyer from behind. This is definitely something that a lot of old and new players can look forward to. It’s a totally brand new Ragnarok experience that will keep players at the edge of the seats!
Not all maps are PK-enabled. Gravity and our GPS Team have selected several maps to be PK. Most of them are the MVP maps and hot level areas for botters. While we can’t stop the bots yet, at least we can just turn on PK on those maps so players can just keep on killing the bots. Take note that there’s a -5% EXP Penalty each time you die in a PK Map. Skill Changes
- Teleport Skill is removed completely.
- Acolytes will no longer have the option to get this skill. It will not appear in their list.
- Acolyte Skill Tree is changed – Pneuma leads directly to Warp Portal
- Same changes applies to Super Novice
- Flywing and Butterfly Wing are removed from NPC Vendors
Take note that some of these settings may still change when we launch the server. Until this is written on the official Valkyrie website, these are still tentative. I’m just giving everyone a heads-up so you can already plan ahead if you’re interested in starting a character in Valkyrie.

Elow, RO Players! To the skeptics, stay tuned lang! ^_^ Remember, the entirety of Project Valkyrie has yet to be revealed. As October 10 gets closer, Valkyrie will start to get clearer and clearer. You’ll hopefully see that all the settings will work together to give you a really kick-ass server ^_^ But of course, the other servers will always still be available so there’s no need to fret. with that kind of settings (no tele tpos -5% pag kill tpos 1.5x lng exp??) i’d rather stay in Tyr. So far ang POV ko parang practice server lng yan. Pero sbi nga ni dedlock primary settings pa lng yan. d pa yan ung final. sana lng nga pagdating ng final e mas logical ang settings.

Hahahaha! Kahit naman tanggalan ng Fly wing or Bwing pede parin magbot dba? Kasi nga naka randomwalk naman and bot kahit wala telesearch or IDLE. The problem is! Ung mga players nakikill sa bot mo! bwahahaha! Ok dn nga ung server infos e masaya and kahit ngaun excited na aq! Excited na aq kumill ng mga BOTS at kalaban Lalo na sa MVP maps :p

ang saya dami na kagad reklamador nahahalata mga botter hehe!! pero ok den tong bagong pakulo ng level up atleast may bagong twist na yung ragnarok di ba? ang aayaw lang naman sa gantong setting yung tamad mag pa lvl eh! yung puro bot lang tapos poporma sa prontera kala mo kung sinong gamer ^^ an old world to explore but in a different manner, Rok On!!

Ok na sana lahat, no fly wings, no bwings, pk ang MVP maps, etc….kaso -5% death penalty sakit sakit nun lalot na marami ang mga PKers.T_T….gawin nlng sana na 1% ang death penalty ngaun palang na nagsisimula pa lahat ng players.

well i guess this is the server for the less fortunate. finaly i can experience PRO. Tired of the private servers with over power characters (lvl 255). this is nice. no more top up cards for time. but still im going to top up for items. /gg

Valkyrie is Exeptional but its also unexeptional. Why?
1. No more Fly and Butterfly wings
effect: if ones mobbed and in dead end how will he/she will survive? if by letting be killed its result to a +5% in base and a -1% on job
2. Pk-enabled Maps
effect: Many VAL maps are now pk-enabled thus leading to fewer maps to level. Example is the desert wolf maps and the 4th level of byalan dungeon where marcs,swordfishes and phens are.
n my point of view, gravity is making ragnarok valkyrie the hardest server to play since theres no more tleportations exepct the acolytes warp portal and the rogue class’ intimidate.
And some of you are even asking more the maps where the ways to Glast Heim to be PK-enabled. Think first! If those maps are pk-enabled many people including YOU will be unable to level fast since of course Glast Heim is one of the best places to level, thus nobody can go there except the higher levels.
The Valkyrie project will fall soon. Valkyries counterpart Valhalla is in my point of view the best server there right now. Why? Cause valhalla server does NOT have PK-enabled maps and even though it also doesnt have fly and b. wings at least you get to level freely where ever you want to even when the bots are there. Many bot types are not even KS’(kill-stealers), all you have to do is get the/your target faster than the bots, as easy as that.
And i believe that Gravity can put anti-bot programs for all servers and make the program a required program for Ragnarok so if the program is uninstalled Ragnarok wont work, right? Easy to say but it will BE worth it. For those who suggested PK-enabled maps on the way to Glast Heim, THink about it and think where youll go if the roads to Glast Heim are blocked by PKers.
Im not complaining but im saying it because its the truth. another thing is, you can remove the teleport skill for acolytes but there has to be fly wings and b.wings. I know people will counter the statement i said about “remove the teleport skill for acolytes but there has to be fly wings and b.wings” but at least you can still teleport if you buy the fly wigns and use it, right?

the Priest’s skills will be more complete without the teleport skill since it consumes 2 skill points.
