I’ve been reading through the comments posted here at Waukster Online about the current state of Philippine Ragnarok Online and I’d like to take this chance to address some issues. I understand that some of you aren’t able to read my replies in some of the posts so the best way to talk about stuff like this is with a new post. I know for a fact that two of the most pressing concerns right now are – Valkyrie Bot Problem and the Subscription Server EXP Mod Drought. Ironically, people think that we aren’t doing anything about these issues but the fact of the matter is that it consumes most of our work time here at Level-up. The sad part about this industry is the dependency on the developer, and we’ve actually looked for alternatives so we wouldn’t have to be so reliant on Gravity.
Subscription Server EXP Drought
We already have an EXP Mod slated for November. I can’t say when yet but it will definitely be this month. Take note that this does not include the newly activated free-to-play server, Valkyrie. The EXP Mod will be limited to Baldur, Freya, Tyr, Thor, and Urdr. I’ve already explained a long time ago why we can’t have EXP as often as we used to a few years ago.
Valkyrie Bot Problem
We’ve been closely monitoring the progress of two anti-bot programs. Gravity is working on one and a 3rd Party Developer is working on an alternative. Both are currently being developed and we plan on testing them once they are complete. I’d also like to correct the misconception that Level-up profits from bots in Valkyrie – it’s kinda weird to say that since Valkyrie is a free-to-play server and it’s common sense that only non-botters are obliged to buy from the Armory of the Gods.
Though I’m no longer part of the RO Team, I still try my best to help out when I can. One of the ways I help is by constantly posting updates here on the latest promotions and news for Philippine Ragnarok Online. I’m not forcing anyone to go to this blog, you are free to read the stuff posted here or completely ignore that this site exists.

why cant you just use RagDefender, Openkore has made a statement a long time ago when Thor just came that they will stop making bots to enter Thor if RagDefender will be used. So same is with valkyrie. Why cant u just use RagDefender?

why not just add more MP, yun naman ang pinaka effective na paraan.
im sure maraming volunteer na players dyan. kunwari 1 LU employee may hawak na 10 Player MP. kung may makitang bot rereport nila sa LU employee at investigate agad and ban if necessary on the same day.
yung system kse ngyn post sa boards nang botter, wait for a few days or a week bago pa ma aksyonan.

GM patrolling the BOT areas would be the BEST deterrent for botting. I’ve played in Valkyrie for around 4hours and dme ko agad napansin na FS Bots… They are sooo easy to spot and can easily be banned by roaming GMs. Buti pa sa PW active na active ang mga GM Helpers (IMMORTAL?)

i’m not from valkyrie or from thor but please, do your best to keep those servers bot-free… more frequent rounds by GMs, increase the number of trustworthy MPs, any other methods… just do your best to solve this problem…
one more thing, please improve the quality of your customer support, for the sake of players…

i dl’ed the pRO files, together with all the extra servers(thor and valkyrie), and i must say one thing that disappointed me, the LARGE number of BOT’s on the ‘Novice Training Field’(Easier)

for botters.. can you not make them other server if you are tired to found botters i think in a config of bot there is also FOLLOW BOT then gm will follow bot this is what some gm of private server doing i hope it works because i also get eror when connecting like FAILED TO CONNECT SERVER…
