Ragnarok & PW Community Concerns (5/25/08)

When I keep getting OT comments, that’s the signal for me to put up a new post asking for your issues, concerns, and problems so I can escalate them to the people in charge of Philippine Ragnarok Online. By the way, I just got back from Cebu and I have several pictures and videos that I’ll be posting tomorrow so watch out for that one.

Anyway, let’s keep it sweet and simple. I’d love to hear your comments on what’s the problem with Ragnarok right now. I know there are several issues with the sieges so I need immediate feedback on those. Let’s just set some ground rules so it won’t be too OT’sh.

1.) Keep it short and simple. Be direct to the point. No more side comments.
2.) Provide all the necessary details. Include your server, problem, frequency, etc.
3.) Stop spamming with requests for bonus EXP (Lol).
4.) Players from Perfect World are also welcome to give comments.

I’ll try to provide feedback for your concerns this coming Wednesday when I do the weekly update.

  3. hello good afternoon…im a player in baldur …my problem is that my RO client has error on sprites, and maps…before WOE2 and nameless my ro client was properly working…i was able to download the update for WOE2 and nameless, it even automatically patched the client..but there are new items in the game and even in hypermart the is showing as unknown item. i tried downloading the full installer in the veins microsite but i cannot complete the download. i am hoping that the levelup site or ragnarok site can list down places where people like me can buy/get a new cd installer so that i can reinstall my RO. I miss the old times where it was very easy to get cd installers from different malls, bookstores and even computer shops.

  5. Valkyrie Siege sux. Disconnections, 30 Min. Ecall, Guild Delay, Unusable Guild Chat. Dahil d2 ay hindi kami kasali sa Agit Lords and (I assume) pwede pa kaming maDQ sa RPC dahil huli kaming nagsimula (magsisimula pala)…

    Ano nangyari? Ayos na to dati ah?!


  6. Valkyrie Community Concern:

    -Delay party message, party (tagal lumabas), guild message and personal message (PM).
    -AL scoring is always cancelled due to the SUPER DELAY (refer to the community concern above).

    OT:

    RWC 2007 Black Jacket na napanalunan ko sa blog contest dito kelan ko pa matatanggap? Na-pm ko na sa YM mo Sir Wauks ung Telephone Number namin. Kung hindi na available ung RWC 2007 Black Jacket, palitan mo nalang ng Ragnarok OST sir Wauks ung may free Note Headphone in-game. Thanks and good day.

  8. Valkyrie’s very delayed in party and guild, thus, making leveling harder for many players.
    Another thing is that there are times when the premium service disappears and thus, forces a player to restart the ragnarok application and given the hard time connecting to Valkyrie, it really is quite annoying. In short, previous problems of Valkyrie are back once again.


  9. tyr server’s siege yesterday still featured the siege bugs discovered during last thursday’s siege, which were originally found in valkyrie server. kung ano ung problem ng valkyrie dati nalipat ata sa tyr. problems include:

    - delayed chat
    - members appearing involuntarily in and out of guilds (thus supposed guildmates hit each other because the victim/s suddenly are out of the guild even though the EC included them)
    - e-calling in the oddest places (ours featured landing in the black space beyond the walls of an agit map, thus we can chat but we can’t obviously move)
    - we thought the maintenance last friday removed these bugs but apparently they weren’t.


  10. Tyr Server Bugs

    Involuntarily Removal from Guild ie including GM`s nde mkapasok or mkagamit ng Flag on his OWN Agit lalo n kapag na dc ka from the server

    Members hitting their own guildmates or allies inside agits.

    Ecall Bug… spawn anywhere on the map even on non agit maps.

    Mail Spam is still on-going even after the removal of the mailbox system.

    i do hope last SAT siege is a NON Scoring Siege coz of the said bugs


  11. Wildcard Voting Site (problem across all servers)

    1. Some players when they top up and buy load or rok points don’t get voting points
    2. Some players who get voting points, kulang. 500 worth of rok points= 60 vote points, nagiging 55 lang
    3. Some players who manage to vote, don’t get their votes included in the tally
    4. Some players only get their voting points after 1-3 days
    5. Hindi makita ng ibang players ang name ng guild or Guild master nila. Walang lumalabas.

  12. nagbalik nanaman ang guild bug sa baldur and i think ngayon di lang baldur and valk ang meron. last siege, ilang beses ako nawala sa guild. ganun din katulad ng dati may nadagdag lang, meron na din sa baldur ng party delay. i hope i cancel muna ang AL scoring until maiayos muna lahat ng bugs na to. though hindi sya kasing lala ng dati, sana wag na hintaying lumala pa.

Siege Problems - Delayed EC (Nag-Ec na ang GM pero matagal bago masummon ung members), Nawawala na lang bigla yung guild after EC (Causing friendly fire among members), Delayed guild chat, delayed party chat, & severe lag (pano pa kami mag eenjoy sa agit lords nyan kung delayed ang movement at pots??).

    2. Valkyrie Shield item permission - sabi sa “updated” table in ragnarok.ph, enabled na raw uli lahat ng methods of transfer nito. Pero upon trying to store my VS in kafra storage, i found out na hindi pa rin pde ilagay sa storage ang VS.

    3. Mail Box & Auction - kelan ibabalik to? May inaabangan pa naman ako na item sa auction sob

  21. valhalla + inRO merge news. any news kung totoo nga at kung kailan mangyayari ang merge?

    i would also like to request for the specifics of the merge (if ever it will really happen) since many issues were raised (Valhall Server ~ Ragnaboards) about the merge. Example: Why will a heavily botted server be merged with Valhalla? Will inRO Players be able to bring all their zenny and boss cards to Valhalla - there have been reports that they had zennies in the Billions while the people of Valhalla barely have enough to keep up with seige needs.

  22. Everything about levelling up (party/chat delay, lagg,) Hindi talaga worth it yung x5 especially to magnus priests like me kasi hindi kami makapag-mob ng maayos without getting killed…

    I don’t want to be a crybaby pero nasayang premium ko and all those FM’s and insu’s because of this….

    -pag ka ECall, theres a time na ma auto-DC agad.
    -lag almost all agits esp. woe SE.. pag maraming guilds.
    -after ma DC then guild bug and party bug naman.
    -pag ka ECall.. lahat wla lahat sa guild pati guild master..
    -pagka ECall.. at nabasag na ung agit from where u are ng other guild? eh… nppunta sa labas ng mapa ng
    save point nila..

    baka naman ung mga item restricted ninyo every siege eh.. inde nyo nababantayan kaya balik ang sakit ng Baldur.. at ibang servers..

    Valkyrie Concerns::

    1.) auto dc at various times. even a off-peak hours
    2.) log-in problems back (for the uptenth time i guess?)
    3.) lagging map areas where there are crowded people on except cities
    4.) party system delay (guild system too probably)
    5.) party/guild chat system delay

    connection is a pldtDSL @384kbps ..no other apps using bandwidth except ragnarok.

    i noticed also that a lot (underlined and bold characters) A LOT of people are already complaining about sieges in all servers..its already a very VERY long problem and i think its gonna affect the way the RPC will turn out to be.


  28. The effect of Red Glasses changed after Freya server went NAMELESS. Instead of +5 MDEF, Red Glasses are giving +1 INT. I don’t know if the same goes for other servers. I already posted this on the weekly update post but I thought I’d just repost it here.

    Baldur Server Siege Bugs:

    1. Ecall Bug… either nagspam sa mid pront or delayed masummon mga members

    2. Sometimes get disconnected after EC

    3. Super lag in agits but not in towns

    4. Guild chat, party chat, and PM delays

    5. After siege all guildmates suddenly got DCed and when we logged back in, NO guild including our GM

    Non- Siege related:
    1. Character locked items: black bunny band and deviling hat –> how long will this problem persist???!!!!

    Wild Card Nomination:
    1. After topping up in MyLUG, I log into the wild card page… I dont have any voting points…I continuously refrshed d page and relogged for 30 mins after topping up but still nothing… so nagEXPIRE without giving me the chance to vote??? This is for all 3 accounts that I loaded since last week. /heh

    Please fix the problem. Nakakawalang gana magRO if ganito. /sob

    Suggest ko lng po ay no bearing nyo yung siege last saturday except sa FREYA kasi napaka smooth ang siege last sat

    may konting lag pero walang “UNUSUAL” bugs na kagaya sa tyr at baldur
    mern nga lang ang ever sikat na portal EC :P

  35. Well Sir Waukster,

    I am a Valkyrie server player and current we are experiencing the following problems
    - Log in problems (Always failed to connect to server)

    - Constant Disconnections (Which pisses a lot of people during siege and since it is an bonus exp week it would be such a drag since a lot of people cant even connect to the server and some just keep disconnecting)

    - Delay Guild chat and Party Chat ( Has been going on in the server since like ever)

    - Premium service of the server not working at certain times we have to re login just to make it work

    Sir Wauks,

    Here are the following bugs in Valhalla after the Nameless patch are as follows.

    1. Nameless Quest and Island Bug
    A) They can’t continue the quest on the part where they need to talk with Father Bamph that makes it like they didn’t do the Curse of Gaelbolg quest. Probably related with the Curse of Gaelbolg quest which is prerequisite of Nameless Island entry quest.

    B) Upon finishing the part where to kill the Zombie Slaughter and leaving the house for Nameless Night Map, there seems a bug whenever the player respawned due to death, emergency called by his/her gm, summoned by his/her husband/wife/adoptedchild, used butterflywing (this is not possible in our server since it’s F2P), use dungeon teleport scrolls, or leaving the Nameless Night Map without finishing the remaining steps of the quest via Larje’s Boat (Night Map version). They can’t return anymore on the Nameless Night Map when they enter the Nameless Island again. It would be always daytime. Despite LUG added a portal in the middle of the Nameless Day Map, it would only appear on the players who succesfully finish the quest. But the problem here is how they can ever finish the quest without having access on the Curse Abbey Monastery dungeons which is only available to players who succesfully avoid the possible scenarios above and finish the quest. I suggest to make the portal in the middle of the Nameless Day Map to be accessible to everyone who finish the part whey killed the Zombie Slaughter inside the norther house instead of finishing the quest entirely before it appears.

    2. Red Glasses stats changed to Int+1 instead of Mdef+5. Many players spend a lot to get on hands of these red glasses since they need Mdef+5 but with this sudden change it affects the RPC too. Mdef during woe is very important so hope it get fixed soon.

    3. As RPC rules, Since many players still abuse the usage of frildora, item appraisal skill, and magnifier despite of banning. How about disabling the frildora card itself like what happened to creamy card. Remove item appraisal skill on the skill table of the merchant class and super novice class. Regarding magnifier I don’t know what kind of tacitc to be used on it.

    Well there are other issues but these 3 should be prioritized since several players are complaining about it. I expect it to be resolved by this Wednesday. Thank you in advance. Hope you read this thoroughly.

    Good AM!

    List Of Concerns:

    1. Chief regarding sa Cursed of Gaeblog quest yung item that you will get from the NPC quest prof [FILE FOLDER] in exchange for the pile of books is currently item lock [ cant be deal, place in kafra, trade or sell ] paki ayus naman yung permission nito, nung nag quest kasi ako di ko muna tinapos then yung file folder nilagay ko sa character ko na isa since madaming laman yung kafra ko, now di ko matapos yung quest kasi di makuha yung item di tuloy makapag nameless. The worst part is yung File Folder weight 1 sya kaya yung may hawak di maka transcend, I dont think dapat maging item lock to wala naman ata sa logic. Paki lang po TY!

    2. Baldur server chief many players still use fildora card di ko lang nakuhaan ng screenies, hopefully this coming siege makuhaan ko para ma file….

    3. Delayed PM’s and chat, EC bug and Guild bug — BALDUR SERVER

    4. Ive top up 6pcs 100 load and 2pcs 250 load i didn’t get any voting points /swt….

    5. Ive heard complains from other players in BALDUR involving the use of mercenary, some says they cant access their mercenary menus even though present yung summoned mercenary


  38. My concern is as the same as the other players from Valkyrie Server. Delay party, Guild Chat, Party Chat, hirap mkapag log in same problem as before. Please paki aus sayang po un x5 Sir Wauks.

Sir wauks, quest bugs regarding the cursed abbey entrance pre-requesite quests are bugged sana po maayos ng maaga, and bugged din yoong red glasses ever since namless patch was released the stats it gives is that of the Neo Elven Ears (+1 int and +1 def) instead of (+1 def and +5mdef) ala pa 2 months yoong red glasses na binebenta nag iba na, sana maayos po. At nag file na ako ng customer support ticket lagi automated reply we regret we can not process your request at this time, lahat ng filed tickets ko ala pa na bigyan ng solution ever since beta days.

    SIr super grabe ang delay sa valkyrie ung kaparty ko last night naghintay kami sa luina ,kc minsan pag pumunta ka sa luina papasok na un party mo , pero last night wala party dumating samin ang ginawa ko na lng nag siege mag isa parang nanggulo lang sa entrance na EF ako buhay ang wiz ko champ pa nmn na 99 ang ang EF sakin ^^.. kaya nung nag sawa ako mag siege mag isa , nag palvl ako ng mag isa ,nagbaon ako ng white potions at blue potion with matching scrolls like assump ,blessing etc. kahit pano nakaya ng powers ko kaso pag nawala na ako ng pots deads na , balik kafra then kuha nmn ng items pampalvl sa HO..


  41. Valkyrie Community Concerns

    •The perennial DC, Delay, Lag and connectivity problems. Our patience is running short.

    •The delayed Agit Lords for Valkyrie caused the disappointment of many players, myself very much included.

    •Red Glasses description changed from +5MDEF to +1INT. You sold it at the Hypermart bearing the description +5MDEF hence, it would be unfair and misleading for your patrons who bought it for that +5MDEF.

    •Rampant bot users- bot support, bot vending bot harvesters

    same as adam smith’s concern

    a GM whose a major wildcard contender got caught using the frilldora card during phase 1 of agit lords

    a GM of another guild had a video of the said crime,submitted it to custo care and poof May 30 rules had been changed

    we need a response from LU to clarify this especially to the people who were vigilant enough to caught the culprit in the midst of siege actions, NOTE: read the RPC section in ragnaboards and you’ll get what i mean no flames but a major wildfire continually spreading due to confusion

    the offense was made before the rules have been changed and they are making an excuse of misunderstanding and that they werent aware of such rules

    ignorance of the law is never an excuse, all people should know this

    this is your chance to redeem yourself from the dirt that is continously being thrown at you because people playing in our server except of course those of the alliance who broke the rule are seeing you more as money hungry ingrates, changing rules in the middle of the competition just because the guild who ranked 1 at the wild card nomination made a mistake that could possibly lead them to disqualification

    we are awaiting ur response be fair we deserve better we deserve JUSTICE
