Last night’s Ragnarok Philippine Championships semi-finals was definitely one of the most heated and tense tournaments in the history of the game. I kept getting calls from almost all the guilds participating and I felt really helpless because I wasn’t there at Level-up to oversee everything since I was assigned by my boss to handle something else that day. All I could do was to make calls and verify information with the GM Team. It was a good thing that GM Tristan eventually was able to make it to Level-up! to sort things out. The second match between Armada and Sustainers was very controversial. I won’t go into details anymore, I’ll leave that to the members of both teams. I don’t want to put any color since I’m still part of Level-up! Games. Honestly I’m a bit saddened that there were a lot of problems encountered but at this point all we can really do is move on.

I’d like to congratulate all the teams who participated in the Ragnarok Philippine Championships 2007! Despite what happened in the final 8 tournament, you should be proud of yourselves for being server champions. I’m not sure if there’s a listed prize for the Server Champs, but there should be and I’ll follow it up on Monday.

Lastly, people have been asking me to post about Method’s DQ. Just so everyone knows, I formally excluded myself from that particular case because I have a former guildmate and good friend in Method. The RPC Tournament Committee was the one who handled their case and I’m sure they’ll post an official statement about it soon.
