Okay, since a lot of players are asking about this, might as well discuss it here. Here are some details of the much awaited Philippine Ragnarok Online SERVER MERGE.
I. New Servers
To accomodate the sudden spike of users, we will be using new hardware to host the game servers. This will deal with the anticipated user traffic. The servers to be merged are the following:
Chaos – Loki: Baldur
Odin – Fenrir: Tyr
Iris – Sarah – Lydia: Freya
*Urdr being merged with any other server is still being studied. The PK Feature makes it complicated to suddenly merge it with another server.
II. Target Date
The pRO Team and Gravity are both targetting to implement the Server Merge on April 11, 2007. Baldur will be first, followed by Tyr the next day, and Freya on Friday.
III. Accounts and Characters
To determine the number of accounts you will have, check the total sum of your home server plus the other merged servers. The total number must not exceed 5, otherwise your account will be split into the appropriate number.
Example on 1 account-merge:
Carlo has a 2 Chaos characters and 1 Loki character. After the merge, he will just have 1 account with 3 characters.
Example of 2 accounts:
Carlo has 3 Chaos characters and 3 Loki characters. After the merge he will have two accounts. The original user will be retained for the dominant server, and the second account will be the same username with the number 1 at the end. For example, your username is Ople, your second account will be Ople2.
IV. Character Names
If your character name is unique to your server, you will be able to retain it. Otherwise a prefix will be added to your name to distinguish server. The pRO Team is still discussing the feasibility of having a name change service.
Example:
There is a Waukeen character in Chaos and Loki. Chaos Waukeen will be renamed to Ch-Waukeen and Loki Waukeen will be renamed to Lo-Waukeen.
*The actual prefixes is not yet final
Other details to follow on another day. 
Expect in-game and siege events to follow the theme of the merge. I was actually having coffee last night with a few friends trying to think of a poster concept for the merge. Since “Server Merge” sounded so corporate, we tried to think of a new name – Server unification, fusion, clash, and er… someone even brought up… SERVER OSMOSIS! ><;

As for the server merge. Ok sana ito… Pwede bang ganito na lang… Can you put an NPC which you can change your name once pag merge ng servers.. but for the default nakalagay sa name ng mga characters eh prefix kung saang server sila galing. Tapos yung NPC na yun may certain amount of zenny para machange mo name mo.
So kung ang name mo ay Jayps of fenrir then default name mo is [FE]Jayps… Kung gusto mo palitan. May isang NPC every town na pwede mo bayaran ng fixed amount of zenny to change your name ng isang beses lang…
Saka wish ko lang, after server merge. Maging free to play ang RO, at the cause na mawawala ang bot plus certain items are only found at hypermart. Suggestion lang….
Hindi naman siguro magiging imba ang game kung ganun mangyayari.. pero sana naman wag naman pati carrot eh malagay sa hypermart. Ayun lang..

wak nlng lagyan ng server identifyer…sana eh gwin nlng nila eh magkaron ng one time name change.pangit din kc kng magkakaron ng ‘Name Change NPC’,baka maging cause lang ng LAG yan..(bka mag-pile-up and mahirapan ung hardware to recall sa sobrang dami ng names)…or pede ring may Name Change NPC pro sana one time use lng…suggest lang nman…=)

im from urdr server and our server has only aprox. 900 players during non-siege hours. i wonder if our server could be merged with other servers having with high population. i think one reason behind the increasing number of quiting players in urdr is due to its declining population. sino nga ba ang gaganahang maglaro kung kakaunti ang kalaro mo, as in wala kang makakausap sa prontera minsan. i admire pRO team that they still have plans of merging urdr with other server. i think it’l be cool.. masaya sa server namin, ^^.. please take into consideration na mpataas din po ung pk population.. if ang focal problem po natin dito is ung pk siguro po pwd kayo gwa ng poll sa planned server na immerge sa urdr then ask nio sila if the serverpeople would like their server to adopt the pk system.. i dont know if my idea would help, gusto ko lng po tlga na mas lalong mapasigla ung server namin.. tnx ^^.

parang pangit ung pag sumobra ung char mo magiging dalawa acct mo
pangit pakinggan kung maging 2 or 3 acct mo. its better na dumami na lang character slot mo kesa dumami acct mo. kasi magiging magastos yan. para sa mga d kaya ang madami acct.

Paano kung meron ang username mo is Pangya at sa Iris meron ka 5 chars, sa Sarah ay 5, and sa Lydia ay 5. Nagkataon naman na meron ibang player na gumawa ng username na Pangya1, Pangya2, Pangya3. Lahat lahat sila meron tag 5 chars sa Sarah, Lydia & Iris.
Kung hahatiin ang account mo na Pangya into 3 magiging Pangya, Pangya1, & Pangya2. Pero meron nga ibang mayari ng Panya1 & Panya2. Ano na mangyayari ngayon sa tunay na mayaring Pangya1, & Pangya2?

Dear Sir. Wauks,
I would like to recommend the Kafra Pin to change or persue its new password. Regarding of the items inside it. My playing server is at Sarah. But it is good thing that you reset the kafra password cause of there are a merging servers and this for example:
my kafra pin in Iris is: 000523
my kafra pin in lydia is: 001523
and lastly my sarah: 1111
In this recommendation i hope you can reset the kafra password because several people are complaining because of Kafra Password Retreaval and Thier e-mail so they can’t delete one of there characters….(Regarding your staff thank you for your support in us and I hope you all can still follow your unending happiness with us may you be bless with god and still ROCK ON)/tnx

i agree with ephesus. i think it’s possible kc as far as i know, sa Khan Online ay ganyan ang sistema. Players can choose which server to log in to; but regardless of which server you chose, you will still land into the same world. (kwento lang po sakin yan ng mga clasm8s ko dati na naglaro ng khan).
regarding sa names, it wouldn’t look so good kung magkakaron ng coding/prefixes in any way. It will just give rise to discrimination between players. Mas ok sakin ung name change – new world, new life
