Ragnarok Online 2 Status
People have been asking me lately about the status of Philippine Ragnarok Online 2, the sequel to the most successful MMORPG in the country - Ragnarok Online. It was originally scheduled to be released 3rd Quarter last year (2007), but after internal testing we found out that it wasn’t ready yet. There were a lot of bugs that needed to be fixed and there wasn’t enough content to justify a full-blown launch. Because of those reasons, we delayed the launch to 2008.
When Gravity gave us a visit a few weeks ago, one of the discussions was the future of Ragnarok Online 2. Mr. Changki, General Manager of Gravity, personally gave us his assurance that they are doing their best to ensure that Ragnarok Online 2 will be at par, if not better, than other global MMORPG brands like World of Warcraft. It’s good to know that both Level up and Gravity understand that we only have one shot of launching Ragnarok 2. If the game does not live up to the expectations of the market, then there’s a big chance it won’t even come close to the success Ragnarok reached.
So what’s in store for us when Ragnarok Online 2 finally launches? Mr. Changki said that they’re planning to do a relaunch of Ragnarok Online 2 in Korea sometime this year and they’ll release a new “War of Emperium” feature together with a lot of new improvements in the game. Dozens of maps, monsters, quests, and contents will be included to make sure that when Ragnarok Online 2 is finally released, it will truly be a world class, triple A, kick-ass title. This game has a lot of potential, and we saw that a lot of gamers were really impressed with it during the sneak peek trial we had during Level-up! LIVE 2007.
With that in mind, I wish the development team of Ragnarok Online 2 all the best.

Disappointed ako sa LevelUpGames. Tagal nang usapan ang release dated ng RO2 pero wala paring official ang exact date.
If ever wala parin RO2 sa coming episode ng Satan Morocc for RO1, sure na hindi na ako mag lalaro ng RO2 kahit man lang testing phase.

some of us can’t always buy load every time we run out of load you know! that was the reason why I quit RO1.

ang tanong? Panu kikita ang level-up kung F2P ung laro? dito sila babawi dahil ung iba flop kaya malaki ang posibilidad na P2P to. Cguro first two months or three like how RO1 started free ung game then once mejo marami na silang players start na ung P2P… Pasira ang BOT sa any kind of game pero dahil pinoy ang manlalaro, hahanap at hahanap ng paraan para makapagbot…. Gawin kze everyday bot hunt ung mga GM tapos automatic ban ung account wala nang pasapasabi para magtanda mga botters….

Wow.. I hope RO2 won’t be a disappointment.
Most of my friends in RO1 have left the game (annoyed by the corruption, and the never ending bugs n’ lag)
..but we all vowed to reunite in RO2.
I’m really looking forward to the release of the game.
Sad to say though, I think it would be the end of Ragnarok Online 1.
Which would be the better game, I wonder..

Waukeen, bro its me i hope you still remember me well i surely hope so anyway i dont understand why some people want this game to be free to play forever . i mean at start it can be a free to play just like ragnarok 1then when everything is ok i mean running smoothly then thats the time people have to pay imagine having it pay to play at start wouldnt attract much users IMO knowing that the game alone would require a high end pc to make it work would definitely make it hard for students to play the game because not everyone can afford and buy or upgrade their pc’s . well hopefully this RO2 would bring the good old days.. i miss playing havent played for along time my lord knight is stuck at level 94 in RO1 hahaha but still if i have time i chek it from time to time. sorry for being out of topic .. more power wauks

a korean told me in KRO2 that Gravity is going to sell Ragnarok Online 2 to HANGAME.
there has’nt been any updates in KRO2 since last january and some people say that gravity cant support the development financially.
kindly confirm if its true. i hope not.

it would be better if you make it F2P rather than P2P because there are so many F2P online games in the community right now..
i suggest that field manuals and some other items that will help players to levelup can be bought by cash..
rare items and equips is “must” be hunted and cant be bought by cash to be fair to some players esp. students.

eow guys if you wish to try ro2 , try to play ro2 private server 1st so that u’ll learn more about the game ,the graphics is pretty neat but they change a lot on the game style it’s more dificult to play than ro1 , ro2 (7 out of 10) i did’nt expect what i expected (lol) they should not change the game style fram ro1 , o well hoping the game may uplift on the market . if you want to play ro2 private i recomended divinia ro2 the gm’s are pretty nice and got a pretty nice item quest visite thier site at http://www.diviniaro.com for more detail’s and if you got any question about the game u can pm at ct123_project@yahoo.com ^_^ kip on rocking !!

bka hindi laruin ang RO2 kapag ndi F2P.. mdami ng nag quit sa RO1 kasi msyadong magastos tpos andami pang kalaban na games na F2P.. bka may maglaro pero konti lang.. hindi sya mgging hit tulad nung early days ng RO1 :)

anu ba tlga issue dito?? money?? because if so, i think you should stop playing… mag-aral na nga lng kau… what matters are the enjoyment you can get from the game… the friendship that you can make… and the glory that you can attain… unless our players realize that the game is not about who’s the strongest or who’s the richest, they wouldn’t attain true happiness in MMORPG… it’s an entertainment to enjoy and, not a battle to get destroyed…
FYI - i think it’s going to be released this MAY - JUNE of 2009…(hope so) as what has been said by Sir Wauks, they’re still fixing some bugs in the game…
simple advice - don’t expect too much and get too excited, you guy’s might get disappointed. i’m not saying that you really might get disappointed after the release but i think you guys should stay put and wait for more announcements and for the meantime, don’t waste time just sitting and waiting and have yourself entertained by other games…

Guys uhm tingin ko wag tau masyado excited…
kasi icpn nyu sa graphics ng laro na to isang mapa pa lang mahirap na gwin…
ung effects pa ng mga skills at kalaban…
hindi naman madali gumawa ng 3d game eh…
kung mamadaliin mo panget naman kakalabasan na ayaw nating mangyari…
kaya chill lang tayo…
pero mali din kc sila dahil naglabas agad sila trailer at teasers nito kya nsabik agad mga tao at isa na ko dun…
hehe…
pro mukhang matagal pa hihintayin natin…
masyado kc nila pinapaganda ung laro pra paglabas mkcg impact sa mga gamers…
ung suggestion ng isa na dapat bilhin ung account mukhang mganda kasi pra ung mga botters kpg naban magtino na kasi pera nila nwala dun eh…
pro wag nmn sana masyado mahal kasi kwawa nmn ung ibang wala gaanu source of income…
mukhang matagal pa to lalabas…
