Ragnarok: IP Connection Problems

I just got back from Caylabne, Cavite, for a quick 2-day vacation with my girlfriend and her high school barkada. More about that trip later, hehe. Obviously one of the biggest concerns right now is the IP Connection problem which has caused quite an uproar here. I was just chatting with some Level-up employees over Yahoo Messenger and I was finally able to get an update on the situation. The problem is not with Level-up Games but with Digitel, which I think serves as a conduit for the connections that are currently having problems getting into the game. At this point in time the best thing we can do is wait while the IT people follow it up with Digitel. Rest assured that we’ll coordinate with Digitel directly so that we can restore game access to those affected as soon as possible.

Forgive me if I can’t give a more detailed explanation about the problem. I’m not really an IT person so I can only try to explain it in layman’s terms. As soon as I get more updates, I’ll just post ‘em here. You can also wait for announcements at the official Ragnarok website. Lastly, please don’t spam the other posts with non-related comments.

  2. this is what i was saying all along guys… 2nd to the last trace was DIFITAL-TELE.hs2.Level3.net while the last connection was 202.138.128.221 after that it’s a dead end… we could not get through

  4. Their are a lot of possible routers we can use. The question is, if we use it, is LU going to banned the connection?


  5. @Kramer: I really don’t know the specifics with regards to this problem. This is a special case because this has legal implications with regards to territorial license. @_@ I’ve already escalated it to the big bosses of LU. This is a decision that they will have to make - not me.

  7. @kramer, router ba ng digitel yan last hop ng trace mo? di kaya naglagay sila ng access-list dun!?1?! or baka me nwalang route.haaaaay…baka naapektuhan ng bagyo router ng digitel kaya ganun… wala lang… sana maayos na, miss ko na dancer ko at guildmates ko.

  10. @kramer… it seems you are a techy persson… d ba malalaman if ano ang cause ng ng lost route. i mean it could be walang route or acl or nde nagconverge whatsoever… anyhoo, it means nasa config ng router ang prob… sensya na sa LAN lang ako me alam, i hate routing, hehe.


  11. Im not sure but i think, tinangal nila sa router table nila route papauntang LU kaya ayaw gumana.


  12. You can try the trace on your own if you are outside the Philippines… If your using windows click Start and then Click Run… type “cmd” and click OK. Under the command prompt type the following “tracert http://www.ragnarok.ph” and then press enter you can also try “tracert 202.57.118.231″ the last connect before the series of asterisk “*” is the dead end connection… when you finish type “quit” and press enter to exit from the command prompt.

    nag use ako ng PROXYFIER (nag wwork sha parang SOCKS CAP) nag try ako mag use ng north amercan proxy ip.. then boom.. d ako mka connect sa ro and bot XD.. thing is.. if gagamit tayo ng PHILIPPINE PROXY.. makaka connect tau (not sure pa , dko pa na ttry kc and2 ako sa pinas).. problem is, puro dead ang proxy server ng pinas na nkkta ko. walang avlble.

    try ko gumamit ng SOCKS CAP l8r.

It took them a couple of years to finally banned international IP add’s pero the big problem is wala man lang announcement which is pRO Cust Care knows at the first place coz biruin mo kung mag file ka ng ticket tapos yung sagot nila parang scripted na at it seems matagal ng naka prepared. UU tama yung sabi ni Wauks wala na tayong magagawa, just WAIT .. Pero nagtaka parin ako bakit sa RPC time frame pa nila ito ginawa? Something fishy ata ahh /gg


  35. Marami talagang adeks na International FIlipino Ragnarok Players. Ang mga friends ko na nasa ibang bansa laging online. Ito ang way nila to get in touch with friends, para mawala ang homesickness nila at kalungkutan sa ibang bansa. Through PRO feeling nila nasa Pilipinas pa rin sila dahil nakakasama pa rin nila mga friends nila, nakakabalita sa latest news at may napapaghingahan din ng problema. I am hoping na sana ay makalaro na sila. It’s pure hell and agony sa ating mga kababayan na bigla na lang nawalan ng access sa mahal nilang laro. To think na andami pa nilang load at biniling mga FM’s! Kahit na nasa ibang bansa sila, Pinoy pa rin sila at dapat ay makapaglaro pa rin sila ng isang RO na pang pinoy!

    Thanks for going to LU and speaking our mind s higher-ups ng LU.. Sana lng they decide to let us (international players) through and continue to play.. I’m not ready to let go of the game yet.. And other ro servers (iRO, eURO, kRO or any other official RO servers)will not suffice for us kc wala dun and friends, guildmates and (in some cases) bf/gf namin.. That’s why we stick to pRO!! Anything else is not an option

My suggestion is we wait for action from LU… ang di ko lang maintindihan is all of the ticket respond so far is aware na dometic na lang ang RO… pero yun pinagtanungan ni Wauks ay walang kinalaman… It’s either they are keeping information from Wauk or LU Customer Service is controlled by people not known to Wauks.


  59. TAKE NOTE FOR LU OR GRAVITY (Who ever’s fault is it): If you think we are going to transfer to iRO because of the internation shutdown. You are very wrong! pRO should be made for Filipinos with no boundaries. iRO is a money sucking game ang is not worth the time of every Pinoy! Especially the one working abroad. There are much better games than RO (iRO or pRO) if we talked international games. So far iRO is at the bottom of my priorities. I personally play at pRO only to be with my family and Pinoy. We chat whole day even without playing RO just because we feel we are at home. I hope OUR point is taken to the management Wauk.

  66. yeah i agree to all, i play RO to chat with friends. and I feel at home. parang tinakwil naman kmeng mga ifp sa nangyaring ito. im really hoping na maayos na to. as for the answers of the cust care, scripted nga sya.malamang nahalungkat lang nila sa database nila yang sagot na yan.


  67. Kung alam ng LU na matatapos na ang agreement nila with Digitel tungkol sa router, dapat ay nagbigay sila ng babala or warning sa mga IFP. Kaso di nila ginawa iyon, nanahimik sila. Hinayaan nilang mag load at magbibili sa hypermart ang mga IFP! After na gumastos na ng malaki ang mga IFP, ni block sila, at pag nagreklamo sa customer care, ang sagot, sorry, hope you enjoyed your stay, now go away.
    Panloloko ata iyon, pandaraya, estafa! Hopefully maayos ito dahil kung hindi, those affected should file a class suit. Senya, nakakainit talaga ng ulo ito.
