Makmak641, or “Kuya Mak”, is the father of the Chaos Server. His maturity, wisdom, and kindness never fails to amaze anyone. He’s been a refuge for players who have been hacked and wronged, and he has taken it upon himself to constantly coordinate with Level-up to change their policies to be more community-centric. He truly is a modern-day saint in the online gaming industry.
Wauks: Thanks for accepting my invitation for a chat Kuya Mak. I’m sure a lot of players are curious and are excited in getting to know the man behind the avatar! To start things off, can you tell us something about your guild and your character?
Makmak: My main character is makmak641, a Lord Knight 99/70 with a vit/str built. It is the main GM of Alliance Guild and is the Top Wild Card Winner in both year 2005 & 2006 Ragnarok Philippines Championships in Chaos. Considered as the Grand Daddy of Chaos because of age (40), makmak641 initiated the creation of Chaos Brotherhood faction 2005 and Blood Pact faction 2006 where both Chaos Server Champions came from Alliance in 2005 and Coalessence in 2006.
Alliance was formed in August 2004 and is mainly composed of the merger between 2 high profile guilds then, Blood Trident and The Crow. Its main objective then was to give opportunity to all guildless players to have a home in Chaos and have a 2nd family, this time in the game.This guild’s priority is our real life friendship and bonding and in-game competion acheivements is like a bonus to us. Because of its nature of association it is also reffered and known to all as the Alliance Family.
Wauks: Can you tell us more about yourself? What do you do for a living? Why do you continue to play Ragnarok?
Makmak: I am a person who believes that what we are in game is what we are in real life and have put my best effort in respecting all my co-players in the game and have assisted as many as I can not only in their in-game problems but in their real lives as well. I am a government employee that plays Ragnarok to ease up the pressures from work. I am still playing Ragnarok because I treasure the many acquaintances and friends I made here through the years.
Wauks: As the primary organizer of the United Chaos Movement, what are your plans when the Server Merge happens?
Makmak: I have no plans because although I was the one who organized it, I have excluded myself from being one of its councils and decision maker. In that way I can prove my sincerity in bringing Chaos together as one. My purpose is to get to know and befriend the people I have been playing with and against through the years in Chaos and patch up their past differences.
Wauks: I know what you mean. You were one of the people who helped me reconcile my differences then with BC. Hehehe! Let’s turn the tables for a bit. If you were in charge of Ragnarok for a day, what would you do?
Makmak: If were in charge I will bring back the Hack/Delete Policy Compensation Policy and would create a team whose sole purpose and responsibility is to look into the welfare and accounts of our customers. Which is the main reason why players are declining and the game itself is not booming.
Wauks: I’m happy to say that I’ve been fighting for that for the past 3 months. We will be tearing down the no compensation policy in a week so please watch out for further announcements on that one. On to the next question! There have been rumors going around that you have spent a huge amount of money already in RO for your guild. Can you confirm this one?
Makmak: Yup, I have spent a considerable amount of money, the exact figures I can not divulge here but mostly was spent on our Grand EBs and IRL activities of course I always get assistances from my co-players. Why? Simply because I love their company and value their friendship. Wauks: Maraming salamat Kuya Mak for accepting the invitation. You truly are a shining example for young kids who play RO. Before we end, do you have any message for our RO community?
Makmak: Hmm .. Respect everyone even if some refuses to do the same unto you. It is the most important thing you can offer them after all we always get back what is deserving of us.

Hack compensation will be implemented again? Wow, can they compensate for those hacked like, 2 weeks ago or something?

I honestly don’t think we can do that, because that would cause a major flood in the CS lines. I’ll study if we can, but I can give no assurances at this point. The good thing is that the policy has finally changed. It took me 3 months to convince people here to do so. XD

kuya mak is not only a father to all of us, but is also a great leader and knows how and when to make the right decisions and they never fail!

kuya mak would be a father for all the alliance that we see in alberta during the RPC, well maybe not just of alliance but any of the players of PRO. Approachable, can be called whenever you needed something.
In short you can depend on this person a great friend, leader and a father ^_^

although, i am not what most of you portrays me to be. i am also a bad ass ordinary person who was changed because of this game.
i have committed so many mistakes in the past that when i played RO suddenly i found myself sorounded by youths. young people who like me then, did not bother on anything except myself.
these kids changed me for i know the path they are inclined to take and made it my buss. to persuade them and make their life simple and not become complicated like what happened to me when i was young.
after making a little impact on a person it became addictive and 1 more then 1 more .. as if i were righting my own mistakes every time i assist someone even how small it maybe and it felt great …
