Ragnarok Episode 11.3: New Power Cards

We’re already preparing for the next major patch update of Philippine Ragnarok Online, Episode 11.3: Nameless. In this patch, we will be having tons of new features including the Mercenary System and a bunch of new items. In the next few days, I’ll be writing about the major changes that Episode 11.3 will bring to the table. For today, I’ll focus on the new cards which will be released.

IT’S FINALLY A LEGAL ITEM!
Finally… it’s legal (LOL). In the beta days, this was one of the most talked about cards in the game. Back then, Wizards were the true gods of PVP, and they were really unstoppable since there were only a few Golden Thief Bug cards. In this day and age, I’m not sure if the Beelzebub will still be a major factor. I’ve heard that you can already reach no-cast status without an Emperor’s Crown.

Beelzebub Card
- Reduces cast time of skills by 30%.
- Compounded on Accessory

POTENTIAL REPLACEMENT FOR MARC CARD
The Detardeurus Card has the potential to replace the Marc Card because it provides protection against freeze and it also has the abilitiy to give you your own personal Land Protector (level 1) when you recieve magic damage. The only downside here is that you’ll end up taking more damage since your MDEF is also reduced by 20.

- MDEF -20.
- Adds 100% resistance to [Frozen] status ailment.
- Adds a 7% chance to cast [Magnetic Earth] Lv 1 when recieving magical damage.
- Compounded on Armor

DEATH BY MAGIC
The High Wizard Card has a lot of drawbacks, but the main bonus is really game breaking, especially in siege. In a pre-cast defense scenario, imagine a High Wizard who can bypass all magical defense and unleash a devastating Storm Gust or Meteor Storm. This will hurt even more if you have the weapon cards that increase spell damage and you also cast Amplify Magic. Sure you’ll have delayed cast time, but there are many ways to go around that. There’s Bragi’s Poem, the new anti-cast delay/speed cards, and much more. If used properly, a High Wizard equipped with this card can truly be a force to be reckoned with.

High Wizard Card
- Adds 100% magic defense bypassing on normal (non boss) targets.
- Increases cast time by 100%.
- Decreases SP Regen by 100%.
- When the equipment compounded with this card is removed, the player loses 2000 SP.
- Compounded on Headgear

PERSONAL BRAGI’S POEM
Cast Time is the time it takes for a Wizard to complete his spell. Cast Delay is the time it takes for Wizard to cast another spell after finishing a previous spell. The Kiel-D-01 Card will be the only card which will reduce cast delay. If you don’t have a Clown/Minstrel/Bard to party with, then this is your best bet to do fast multiple casts in succession.

- Decreases after-cast delay of all skills by 30%.
- Compounded on Headgear

From an initial glance, it looks like High Wizards will really get a boost with this patch. Since these cards will already be in play when RPC Agit Lords starts, it’s safe to say that the value of High Wizards will increase tremendously. Let’s also not forget that there’s NO GTB when Agit Lords is on-going, making magic a much more effective and deadly.

That’s it for now. FYI - Perfect World servers are NOW UP with the DUSK PALACE PATCH activated. Now that this is done with, I’ll focus on making sure Episode 11.3: Nameless goes live at the soonest possible time as well. Rok On everyone!

  4. Hmm, I’m pretty confident that we won’t see any duped instances of new items or cards anymore. The cards and items which were released in Veins have very low numbers up to this day. That’s being monitored daily by the Ragnarok GM Team.

    If there are any duped items remaining in the servers, they’re mostly left-overs of the items which we weren’t able to wipe. The GM Team is still cracking down on them but we can’t really expect them to clear everything out in an instant. It’s a long process but at least it’s being done.

    Like what I said before, if you have any tips on potential suspects, file a CS ticket (Player Misdemeanor) and add screenshots so the GM Team can include it in their list for investigation.

  12. Sir Wauks, I think it was mentioned on most sites that the High Wizard card will work only against monsters and not players.

    At first I thought na anti GTB na ito, but then a lot of international players say that it’s only for PvM.

    As of now, all I can tell you is that it will come out this May. I can’t say yet what date or which week. The Ragnarok Team is still finalizing the time line. :)


  14. wauks is there a possibility na ibalik sa dati ung order of characters sa account ko sa tyr? i understand na ni-rumble ung order of characters nung merge. nawala tuloy ung magandang first 3 ko na paladin,sinx,Lk. ok lang ba pa-request na ibalik sa dati ung order of characters ko? arranged kasi un ayon sa needs ko: first 3 - for pvp/mvp. second 3 - for siege/zeny organizer. third 3 - experimental characters (wala pa sa ngayon, gagawa pa lang).

    bdw,

    there is one way to stop the high wiz with no-cast time/cast delay…spam it with silence then go for mana-burn..no SP = weak wiz/high wiz = deds. hehehe

    kuya wauks ah,,naggng lolo ka na pla ah hahahahahahaha! (peace!) :D

    - Connectivity issues for International Players… They have a hard time connecting characters parked in Pronts. Pero sa ibang maps ok lang.

    -RPC Season promotional video. I believe malapit na RPC season. D ka ba papagawa ng player-made video sa kin?

    O, e may concern ka pa naman pala sa RO eh, how about, for just A FRACTION of the time you’re spending on what new items you will sell on Hypermart, how about making up for the 2 lost acolyte skill points that you owe us since last year? Valhalla formerly Thor server. When you made it a F2P server, you made it a living Hell.

    Im looking for equipment and card for my wizard to reach No Casting..
    But it also Cast although 0.1 sec..
    I use Dark Lord + Dark illusion Card..
    2 Glove of Bigmouth ( Belzebub card )
    With dish +10 dex and skill bless from priest..
    i dunno what weapon did my fren use..
    He didnt want to tell me..
    He can reach No Casting !

    Your DEX should reach a total of 150 which is 99 + 51 to get a “No Cast Bar” Wiz/High Wiz. It doesnt matter how large the percentage is for casting. DEX greatly affects your casting so get equips that greatly inrease your dexterity, like Survivors Rod[1] Dex with drops Card [+1 Dex] = a total of +4 Dex and your Headgear = Dark Rangris = +4 Dex or Ulles Cap[1] +2 Dex with Vesper Card [+2 DEX]. Hope this helps.
