Ragnarok Community Update (4/29/08)

Philippine Ragnarok Online has been having major update after another for the past few weeks. However, we still have a lot more lined up for the most successful MMORPG in this country. We’re only a few weeks away from the launch of Episode 11.3: Nameless! Anyway, I’m getting ahead of myself. I went through all your comments and forwarded them to the Ragnarok Team for feedback. I can’t cover everything but I hope the following 2 updates will answer some of the most pressing issues that you guys raised last week. I’ll try to make another update this Wednesday for the usual weekly thing that I do during maintenance.

RPC 2008
With the announcement of RWC 2008 being hosted here in the Philippines, a lot of people asked what will happen to RPC 2008. It’s pretty simple, RPC 2008 will be held separately from LIVE. It will still be a live event but we can’t guarantee all 8 teams will be represented in the initial tournament. Maybe we can accommodate up to the semi-finals (top 4). The champion will go on to LIVE to face the other teams from around the world to determine the RWC 2008 champion.

Please wait for further announcements related to RPC and RWC in the coming days. We’re still finalizing the details with Gravity but as soon as we have something in paper and it’s signed and finalized by both parties, we will make official announcements.

ITEM PERMISSIONS
We’ve heard you and we’re going to make changes. Please wait for the official announcement about this but hopefully we can make the adjustments in the next 2 weeks. This is one of the top priorities right now since most of you really raised hell over this particular topic.

  8. yeah Sir Wauks! Na post ko na to dati sa blog mo..pero uulitin ko pa rin! In behalf of us the “EXTENDED FAMILY” abroad..huwag sana kami kalimutan..

    Sa umaga hirap ng connection…nagiging smooth lang pag 12AM na…hahahaha! Pati pag patch need pang makisuyo sa mga kaguild…wakoko!

    Although may time differential kami, but still kailangan namin mag OL during WOE and Daytime (Ph TIme).

    I know LU Team is doing their very best, but wasnt enough..Need to push more! Lapit na RPC…sagana po sa lag at delay…hayz

    Please suggest to upgrade to a server that can support more users.. this has been asked by valkyrie players time and time again.. so please.. do oblige…

    FYI: Read the Ragnaboards and you’ll see the extend of the people’s dissatisfaction..

    We love valkyrie so please love the players back with more than acceptable playing conditions…

  12. Sana naman ayusin na ASAP yung item permissions at wag na paabutin ng 2 weeks pa. Ang laking perwisyo kc e.

    Regarding WOE 2 in Baldur, sobrang lag and delay pag more than 2 guilds na ang nasa loob ng isang WOE SE agit. Pag 1vs1 guild lang, medyo ok pa. Pero pag naging 2vs2 or more, nako! …asahan mong hindi ka na makakagalaw, makakapagchat, at makakapagpots ng maayos! pif (Pero in WOE 1 agits, maayos naman kahit more than 3 guilds ang nsa loob. Nasa server na humahawak sa WOE SE zones cguro ang problema)

  16. Sir Wauks pakisuyo po yung connection ng international players hindi ko po alam ang connection issue ng iba pero ang sa akin po dc/failed to connect sa mga town maps siguro 8-10 times pag login bago makapasok minsan suko na sana po maayos thanks!

    Home turf doesn’t necessarily mean advantage because if RWC and RPC would be held at Level Up Live then the other competitors would see the RP Team’s playing style which then would be a big disadvantage.

  35. Mr. Ople, Can i ask you what is the role of midgard police in valkyrie and valhalla? Can you kindly check it, because every now and then my items got loss, without a reason those dropable items are gone, except for the +9flying angelwing, for godsake! please remove those MP because they are no use in the community, they are just making money out from players.. summoning @ pvp nightmare

  36. RPC separate event from LU Live: controversies might happen and people might not see it again. kailangan ng transparency para maalis ang doubts sa final 8 tournament.

    RPC within LU Live: makikita ng foreign teams ang laro ng RPC winner…

    solution: by the time RPC tourney gets under way, secure the foreign teams to a place where ndi nila makikita ang final 8 tourney. there are also other ways to prevent foreign teams from witnessing the RPC tourney but it is a must that they don’t see RPC championships.

    Sana Final 8 ang sa rpc live. kahit hindi sa world trade center basta may venue para madami din makawitness and maiwasan na din mga controversy.

  54. About the item permissions, sana iinclude yung Blue Potion Boxes that come with the load. Kahit trade-able man lang sana.

  60. sir wauks im from canada po me and my bro are playing RO po pero d tlga kame mka connect in some maps, esp pront which is very inconvenient for me coz im used to be a 24/7 vendor in pront before having this connectivity problems… plz help po ung mga 2lad nmin na international players..
