Okay, enough on melee classes. Today I’d like to discuss one of the most powerful arcane job classes coming to Ragnarok Online – the Warlock. Judging from the initial skill list, it looks like Warlocks will really be a force to reckon with since their spells now cause various status effects on a massive scale (AoE). I can’t imagine how War of Emperium will be if there are Warlocks on the battlefield. In terms of job character sprites, the Warlock looks kick ass. The flowing dark robes gives them a very mysterious and powerful aura that I’m sure all male gamers want, hahaha. Anyway, I’d like to share a video with you guys I found on Youtube. It’s basically a Warlock demonstrating all the skills. You can get a lot of insights from this especially if you’re a Wizard. Watch the video after the jump!
Ragnarok Online 3rd Job – Warlock
The Tetra Vortex really looks like it will be one of the most casted spells in the game. Other than the damage, this skill also applies various status effects on all those affected. My only worry here is the cast time. It looks like it will take a few seconds to get this off.

imprison = pugna decrip or obsidian’s banish

lahat babagal na mag-cast come renewal patch.. walang nang instant-cast dahil may fixed casting time na ung ibang skills na di marereduce.. although merun pa din silang variable casting time na narereduce pa rin ng items/dex/bragi/suff

The thing is, the sprites, look more like powered up Assassins than Warlocks. After 6 sprites of blanket toting boys and girls we suddenly get trench coat neo wannabes. I think the look would better fit the 3rd job of the Sage rather than the Wizard. I really liked the initial sketch they released of the Warlock girl but I see now that they completely went on a different direction for the sprite. Too bad

well, this isnt exactly what the skills look like. This is a private servers. They are just placing older graphics where the unmade graphics should be.

i think the sprites are okay… they really took the modern theme into consideration since third jobs are supposed to represent transition… i mean, look at the mechanic and compare it to the blacksmith…
anyways, i agree with anyone who says tetra vortex would be the most used spell of the warlock… but could it be blocked by land protector? i’m a sage myself and a fan of the wizard class… so i’m standing here, anxious and threatened by the new and improved wizard class
