Ragnarok 3rd Job Class Overview - Guillotine Cross
When Gravity released concept screenshots of the 3rd Job Classes, the entire global Ragnarok community went into a frenzy. I’ve done job class overviews of the Ranger and Warlock already in the past few weeks. Now I’ll be talking about the Guillotine Cross. This is arguably one of the most awaited 3rd job classes for Ragnarok Online. There’s a lot of talk going around that the Assassin Cross job class is overpowered - especially in PVP and siege. Equipped with the proper equipment and poisons, the SinX can really dish out monstrous amounts of damage in a few seconds. I’d shudder to think what the Guillotine Cross can do since it’s supposedly much more powerful than it’s predecessor job class.

According to the information released by Gravity in their recent announcements, the Guillotine Cross will really be about insanely high damage-per-second (DPS). There’s a variety of new poisons that will be made available and each poison has a specific unique ability or effect that can target various job classes. These poisons will also be pre-requisites for several new skills. There are also rumors going around that this job class will get a skill that can “root” an opponent - making him an easy target during WoE or PVP. One thing to note is that majority of the new powerful skills the Guillotine Cross will get has a failure rate. If the skill fails, then there’s a supposedly damaging and harmful backlash for the user.
The sprite design really looks like what Loki wore in the original manga of Ragnarok. Dark tights covered with skeletal bones, claws, and fragments. It really makes the Guillotine Cross kick-ass and threatening.

Assassin class is probably one of the most interesting class in RO and seeing this new content will be really worth going to… The question is if the “3rd” job class will coincide witht the Ragnarok Renewal Project or something like that…

Currently patches in pRO are delayed by about a year(it’s not a bad thing since we can be informed on whats to come and because bugs can be fixed) … my point is since 3rd classes aren’t finalized yet expect them to come in about 1 1/2 years or so until they are finalized( but why anticipate only one patch when episode 13 has many more things to add … battlegrounds anyone?) P.S. @Wauks In order to have many more testers on Sakray why not make it F2P? the cash merch is there anyways … rather than it being a dead server T_T

can’t wait to be a guillotine cross, but the sprite color kinda threw me off, why yellow? why not gray or dark colors it’s supposed to be bones anyway.

is gonna have their feelings hurt in a heart beat.It was confirmed last year at the Gravity Conf. and even at fucking Comic Con this year that Transcended characters CANNOT turn in 3rd jobs.Doddleron is outdated and was made back in 06′ Hoilday season retards,do NOT go by that source.

Chances are,the 3rd jobs will be better at different situtions than the rebirth class but they will not by any means surpass them.Given the fact that they stop at job 50 and not 70 like the rebirth characters.THEY WILL BE BALANCED,wow..

errrr…well, its true that the sprite detail now looks more like loki from the manhwa but except for one thing: the color…its not gold..and putting gold on guilottine cross wont get a good appeal rate by the sinX and sin’s out there

Yeah.. It was silver/grey when the sprite concept was released, right? They should stick to that. Maroon tights, silver/gold platings just won’t cut it.

Just hoping this “Guillotine Cross” will do better in PVM or it will be a party needed class, especially in biolabs or Thors volcano. If this job is still a solo PVP type, it will be left out again by “high-tier” jobs. And Gravity can still improve the sprite of “Guillotine Cross”

uhm some skills na nde na inimplement ng gravity dati sa dating plano for rebirth class baka isama na nila..
tulad ng “advance sonic blow” na instead 8 blows lang sa ordinary sonic blow..eh madodouble ang hits nito..masaya kaya yun o overpowered na naman ang GX?
siguro yung poison skills na dati hindi masyadong ginagamnit ngayon baka magamit na ngayon, tulad ng poison react..na ang lupit ng damage kapag na level 10..sana nga lang i-release na yung details ng skills ng GX and other classes para mas mapa-aga ang pag-calculate..

Uh, Gravity actually confirmed that transended classes could go 3-1, now you’re the one saying BS.
Actually, they said it was better to do so since you get more stats point and skill points.
Also, if this weren’t the case, people playing on High rate server are on a private server and this stuff can easily be customized. No need for a brain to code that.

The gems set in the bone-like metallic silver armor is a dead ringer for Chaos’ outfit. I’m not totally sure about the picture though but it also looks like the Rune Knight is wearing a trench coat of sorts or maybe a modified cloak? Regardless what he’s wearing, he definitely looks much more kick ass and modern compared to the Lord Knight and Knight sprites.
