Gaming: Ragnarok Online 2 Video (GTB Hunt)
It’s been a while since I posted about RO2. Guess I was sidelined a bit with the Perfect World CBT hype. Hopefully we can go back to discussing more of RO, because that’s one of the core contents of this blog. Don’t get me wrong - I will still be posting about Perfect World. However, I have to fine tune the content of the blog because this is already tuning out to be a mix of everything. In marketing speak, I’m loosing my positioning. Well, technically I still have one as a sort of insider look into LU.
Please correct me if I’m wrong, but if I’m not mistaken, Ragnarok 2: Gate of the World, just finished their second Closed Beta Testing. According to the interviews with the developers, they will be staging 4 CBTs, all of which are targetted at testing specific features. The first one was more of look & feel, while the second CBT took a deeper look into the job classes of the norman race and the weapon levelling system. Two more CBTs, and we will finally see the sequel to the most successful MMORPG in the country, Ragnarok Online.
Anyway!!! Back to Ragnarok 2. I was going through the various RO2 forums when was lucky enough to find some links to recently posted YOUTUBE videos!

hi wauks! i beleive that gravity hasn’t released RO2, right? so when gravity releases it, LU! will publish it immediately?

Yup - it’s still at the Closed Beta Testing phase. Level-up Games already has an agreement with Gravity that we will be the ones to publish it for the Philippines! :)
Of course, you need to put some buffer time after kRO2 is released with pRO2, mainly because we still have to localize the game (translate the damn thing to english).

Hopefully we can release it locally Q3-Q4 this year. I’m closely coordinating with Gravity. As soon as they finish the kRO2 version, we will work on the english version which we will use here.

i overheard someone that LU and Gravity have not closed their Deal on Ragnarok 2, and E-Games have their eyes on it. is this true?

I’m sure our competitors are salivating over the idea of handling Ragnarok 2. Lol. Level-up is bringing Ragnarok 2 to the Philippines, and that’s 110% sure.

Hmm….this is great… I had played diffrent mmorpgames.. starting w/ pRO.. but i retired playing pRO because i wanted a game that was a bit more detail..kya ng RF ako.. pero kpg lumbas na RO2.. blik RO na ako.. no mmorpg can compare w/ the gameplay of RO.. ROK ON!!
