Philippines is going Bannanas!

I’m convinced that the Philippine movie industry and our politicians are already going bannanas (crazy). Here’s a quick summary of what happened in the past few days. First, Joey Marquez, ex-mayor and actor, was just convicted of graft and corruption. He’ll be spending 6-10 years in jail as punishment for overpriced brooms that he bought when he was still the mayor of Paranaque. It’s amazing how greedy some people can get. He already earned millions when he was active in the entertainment industry but he can’t help but earn a few hundred thousand pesos at the cost of his integrity and freedom. Next up we have Willie Revillame and the Wowowee Scandal. Like what I said in my previous post, the PHILIPPINE SENATE is going to do a probe on the issue. BUT WAIT… THERE’S MORE! And this one takes the cake. Here’s Willie Revillame replying to Joey De Leon LIVE ON WOWOWEE.

  15. Bleh. This whole issue regarding the “Hello Pappy” scandal could’ve been averted if they issued an official statement early on, discussing the design flaw. Note, discussing the design flaw. It’s easy to say that it was a design flaw; but for it to be credible, it should’ve been explained more clearly. What was the flaw? Was this flaw the cause of the supposed “rigging” / “production error”? But no, ABS-CBN had to make a whole drama out of it. Sabagay, controversy no matter what, is still publicity… As for Joey… he is entitled to his own opinion. But I think he should’ve just kept his mouth shut. It’s not his issue anyway - magmumukha lang contra vida ang Eat Bulaga sa ginawa nya.

    I may me harsh to you but ano po yung nakakatuwa sa mga pangyayari? I see kasi everytime somebody makes a mistakes e-judge agad natin ( i admit sometimes i act like that ). Its just like relating for OFW earning foreign currencies outside our country tapos kung yung mga pera na yung ay bababa ang halaga ( ex:dollar ) ganun parin ang cost ng basic neccesities sa ating bansa and then it just continues to rise pag tataas na naman ang exhange rate. Have you ever ask why? For me its simple, coz mostly sa atin ayaw gusto malamangan. Gusto natin palaging bida, kahit saang category. Its seems practicality doesnt exist anymore. ” Golden Rule ” Masakit pero yan ang totoo sa ating mga filipino.


  19. @frietz: I just found it funny that issues keep hounding Willie Revillame. I agree with you on most of your points but I think the sad reality of life is that UNITY or the search for it is an on-going and eternal process. You can never achieve it totally, especially in a very divided country like ours. It’s something good to aspire and work for. no1 @Joel: Going bannanas yung title dahil dun sa movie ni Mark Lapid. Read between the lines, hehe.

  23. @vanilla, i agree. there should be a clear and acceptable explanation for the wilyonaryo incident. i think this is not the first time that wowowee was accused of fixing or hocus focus. there is one incident where on personel was accused of fixing kung sino pde makasali sa pera at bayong or other wowowee games. sooooo…. the abs-cbn should explain everything. and willie don’t need to only say na hindi siya nandaya. of course i presumed many believed na hindi siya nandadaya BUT as what i said in other post willie should explain the incident also. @everybody i think tama si roji away bata lang ito. so if you think your already full grown people, wag na tayo sumali sa away bata. /gg

  25. Er.. sorry but I already saw him cry during the ULTRA tragedy days. He’s a good artist. Kung ayaw na nya talaga sabihin yan dapat kinausap nalang nya si Joey ng personal. To televise it only means he’s trying to get the sympathy of the people, para magmukhang masama si Joey de Leon. lolz

    Again, I’m not for or against anyone. It’s just funny how they try to manipulate people’s feelings lolz. This is all crap.


  26. i’m back. Thanks sir waukz bcoz of you nalaman ko ung issue ng baya about sa wilyonrayo. Computer and internet lang kasi palagi kaharap me kaya i have no ide sa tv show. But now I’ve seen the you tube clip sa wilyonaryo edition. Before I said that Willie has a tendency to coach kung sino gusto niya manalo. But the Wilyonaryo is BIG TIME issue. Unless someone hindi nakakita sa you tube or refuse to see it, but it is very clear that there is a two numbers in violet box. even my elementary children asked “how come there are two numbers, 0 and 2 in the box. Oh common production fault? Joey is right, Willie should explain the incident. The people need to know WHY?

  29. Kung malinis tlga ang eatbulaga eh sana inde na lang sila nakialam kc sa ginagawa ng eatbulaga eh parehas lang sila ng wowowie na nakakababa ng tingin sa mga mata ng mga masa. Nakikiproblema sila s hindi naman nila problema lalo lang nwawala respeto ng mga tao. Kung ako c joey eh pagtatanggol ko n lang wowowie na nangyayari tlga un mga pagkakamali hindi daya. Edi ang taas pa sana ng tingin ng mga tao s kanya at s eatbulaga.
