Philippine Ragnarok Online has major updates today for all servers. I was thinking that we could have a little break after Level-up LIVE since it really drained everyone here at the office but it looks like that we will have to keep the whips cracking because there’s so much to do and so little time to do it. We will be patching a lot of stuff today and I’m pretty sure that some people will protest the changes, especially in Valkyrie. Check out the complete patch notes after the jump.
UPGRADE NPC RETURNS w/o SAFE LIMIT
Hollgrehen finally makes his much awaited comeback. I’d like to take this time to clarify why there are no safety limits. According to Gravity, the global standard for free-to-play servers is that safety limits are disabled. We will still try to appeal this but we can’t assure you guys that this will be changed in the future. Like what I said in my previous post, we are permanently cutting the price of enriched stones in Valkyrie to soften the impact on the community.
BONUS EXP WEEK!
FINALLY! Hahaha! It was very hard but we were finally able to pry an EXP mod from Gravity. When the servers go up today, we will have bonus EXP for all servers except for Valkyrie. I suggest that you guys take full advantage of this week because I don’t know how long we will have to wait again for the next EXP mod.
CHARACTER DELETE & GUILD BREAK RESTORED
We’re restoring the Character Delete and Guild Break functions on all servers today.
DEAD/BLOODY BRANCH DEACTIVATED IN VALKYRIE
Dead and Bloody Branches in Valkyrie will be temporarily deactivated.
Lastly, we are going to implement something that will hopefully solve the bot problem in Valkyrie today. I’m not including it in the formal patch notes because this isn’t 100% and tested yet. If it does, then well and good. If not, then we will really have to step up MP recruitment and follow-up on the third party developer for his version of the fix.

sir wauks, i have a problem with my client… everytime may update tuwing maintainance ngkakaroon ng error after mgpatch,.. ayaw mglaunch ng game..
i had to reinstall valkyrie client everytime may update, hassle tlga…

wauks meron pa rin gumala aq sa byalan level 1 and level 2 searching for bot, meron po aq nakita mga 7-8 accnts. then bumalik aq sa izlude try 2 heal those sitting on the respawn points. pag ka heal ko w0w sabay na sabay sa pag heal ko ang pag tayo ng BOT. anu ba un MPs? kung pede lang aq mag ban ng bot kita ko kagad kung sino mga bot sarap mag gala at mag hanap ng bot kesa mag pa lvl

sir wauks kudos on the most recent anti-bot measures implemented in valkyrie. but please do not that if you stop there, the victory will be VERY short lived.
you have to understand that ANY PROGRAM, third party or not, you use in order to couteract the bot menace will be countered again and again by the developers of bots. why? because openkore is OPEN SOURCE. for any problem that you throw to your handful of developers, you will have HUNDREDS of other developers from all over the world working on a counter to your solution. it may take a few days, or a few weeks, but eventually, EVERY PROBLEM can be solved. just give them enough time. Bergofsky’s principle lang yan.
the best way really for you to counter ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE is through HUMAN INTELLIGENCE. sa ngayon, habang unte palang ang bots na nakaka-konek, patindihin na agad yung midgard police and padamihin pa yung mga rumorondang GMs. napaka common naman yung mga binobotan na maps: comodo east dungeon (thara frogs), papuchicha forest (alligs), louyang, byalan just to name a few. anu ba naman yung may isang tao to spend 1 hour in each of these maps, just to make shur na tao lahat ang andun.
dapat gawin na agad to habang kakaunte palang ang kalaban. pag umabot sa point na sobrang dami na naman, lalo lang kayo mahihirapan. wag nyo na hintayin humantong sa ganun.

si wauks is the new anti-bot implementation connected with the constant disconnection of RO? After the patch kasi naging mas madalas ang pag disconnect ng Valk and I have to click on the client again and again just to get back on the game with only a handful of minutes to spare bago ma dc ulit
