This is a bit late but at least I can still do it, hehe. Here’s the weekly update for Philippine Ragnarok Online. There’s so much going on again but it mostly involves the HyperMart. Before I get into that, I’d like to quickly discuss the Valkyrie Server. Over the next few days you guys will see more promotions for Valkyrie. In fact, I’ll be posting the promotional video in a few hours. I just want to confirm that it will indeed be a Free-to-play server with PK settings on selected maps. It will also launch October 10, 2007. Anyway, with that said, let’s move on to the major changes today. We have a major in-game event and new HyperMart items. Find out more after the jump.
NEW PREMIUM HEADGEAR AT THE HYPERMART
I’ve already posted the information about the new premium headgear. You can just refer to my previous post for that. Basically we’re adding the Drooping Nine Tail, Lif Doll, and the Deviling Hat. Warning, the Lif Doll is a bit pricey.
RETURN OF THE NEURALIZER
We’re bringing back the fixed Neuralizer. Take note that there are some conditions for using it. You need to be at 0 weight and you have to use it in a safe zone, preferably a town. Click here to read the official announcement.
75% ELUNIUM SALE
Enriched Eluniums will be on 75% sale starting today. You can buy ‘em for just 25 PHP. That’s a good deal especially since we’re also launching a major in-game event reminicent of the Laurel Wreath Upgrade Challenge last year.
DROOPING NINE TAILS UPGRADE CHALLENGE
Mechanics are pretty simple. Trade in a +9 Drooping Nine Tails for a +8 Feather Berret. To make things easier for everyone, we did the 75% sale on the Enriched Eluniums. I remember suggesting something similar(upgrade a miniprop from +7-10 get an extra upgrade or a prize + DC on erinched elus) in HyperMart SneakPeek III but somehow my post seems to have been deleted O_O

… but then that never did push through because mini prop’s decrease in cast time is affected by the refinement of the weapon and not it’s own … =P

Lugi ang players sa Drooping Nine Tails Upgrade challenge, as far as Baldur server is concern. I’m not sure sa ibang servers cos di ako familiar sa economy nila. Sa Baldur, a +0 Feather Beret costs 40m below. Since a Drooping Nine Tails costs 2000 Rok Points or P100, that’s equivalent to 30-40m kung ivend ang DNT sa Prontera. Kung gusto ko ng +8FB, I’d rather upgrade several FBs to +8 rather than upgrade DNTs to +9… since FB and DNT cost more or less the same and it’s easier to upgrade to +8 than +9 (duh). I doubt if the LOV scroll box and SG scroll box are worth the risk of upgrading a +8 armor to +9 (20% chance only). +8FB sa Baldur cost more than 500m sa Baldur. In my opinon, this event wasn’t properly researched.

Why is the Drooping Lif headgear not slotted? I was waiting very expectantly for the Drooping Lif headgear ever since reading its entry in the RO Future Wiki (http://ro.doddlercon.com/wiki/index.php?title=New_Headgear#Drooping_Lif_.5B1.5D). Imagine my disappointment…

And even if the Drooping Lif was meant to be non-slotted, why is it still more expensive than an Angeling Hat (7000 RoK points), a Mini Propeller (5000 RoK Points) or a Magiceyes (1750 Rok Points)? Even if it’s a “new†headgear, and the “old†headgears were on sale, the current price ranges still doesn’t make sense at all.
