Philippine Ragnarok Online Weekly Update (5/13/08)

Time really flies really quickly. It’s already Wednesday again and here’s the weekly update for Philippine Ragnarok Online. More than the usual item mall additions and discounts, today marks the first day of the Ragnarok Philippine Championships Agit Lords and Wild Cards competitions. Take note that the winner of RPC 2008 will be our official representative to the Ragnarok World Championships which will be held at Level Up LIVE. Anyway, here’s the update. Please note that there will be new additions to this so please just check back every now and then.

Finally… after months of waiting, the Ragnarok Philippine Championships starts anew! As posted in the official website, we’re going to start the Agit Lords Tournament. To give you guys more value for your money, we’re also starting the Wild Card competition as well. This will turn your top-up into “weapons” since you can use it to vote for your favorite guild. Note that the winner of the Wild Card nomination phase automatically gets prizes. Here’s a link to the complete mechanics of the Wild Card.

FOR RPC, SUPPLIES MATTER!
I’m sure all of you will agree with me when I say that resources will play a crucial role in the Agit Lords tournament. COMMUNITY CONCERNS
Item Permissions - This issue is already resolved internally. Expect an announcement by Friday at the very latest. I’d like to apologize to all the players who were hassled by this policy.

Foreign IP Problem - Problem is with international connections. Our ICT Team is already talking to PLDT on how we can resolve this but please note that this is something that is out of our control. It’s not that we don’t want you guys to log-in and play, in fact we want all of you to have no problems with connectivity whatsoever.

I’m expecting one or two more announcements to be released within the evening or tomorrow morning. When that happens, I will just update this post. According to the RO GM Team, they’re also releasing new items in the mall so stay tuned for those! I’ll also add to the community concerns section when I get feedback from the team.

    Wag po sana kalimutan na mag upload ng patch ng Nameless Island sa mga free hosting File Servers para sa aming mga Intl Players…restricted kami sa FTP nyo eh…

    About sa connectivity, ibig sabihin Sir Wauks PLDT ang nagbo block ng connection namin during 9:00AM-11:00PM? at ioopen nila yung connection namin after nun? Nagtatanong lang po…kaya palang gawing ng PLDT yun? May Restriction…..hmmmm….at inumpisahan ng PLDT yun more than one month ago?? Interesting…Bad na PLDT yan…tsk tsk tsk…Very Very Bad!…How about increasing the bandwidth Sir Wauks? Meron na po bang discussion about dito?

  23. The wildcard prizes is sooo unfair!!! Nagkakagulo na nga kung posibleng makasama ang valhalla sa Ultimate Wildcard, census is saying na di namin kakayanin. Tapos ang gagawing premyo sa wildcard nomination ay yung may top three votes across all servers?

    Umigulay naman!!!!! Wala man lamang ba kaming makukuha na mga taga Valhalla? Tiyak ang mananalo diyan sa top 3 votes sa wildcard nominee ay Valk, Tyr, Baldur and Freya!!! 1k lang ang population namin, aguy aguy. Compared to them na 2k pataas!!!

    Sana gawing top three na lang per server. Para naman kahit paano ay 3 guilds sa Valhalla ang makakuha ng prize!

    Hmm, yeah, I’m pretty sure it’s gotta do something with our IPs. Hope PLDT does something about this (we buy points on their website!!!). Anyway, just take note, too that this started when the woe2 patch came out.

Sir wauks, baka naman po pwedeng lagyan po nila ng item permission every item na ilalabas sa hypermart… like yung bago po, Golden Tiara, i thought pwede ikafra, ang bumili ung baby na character ko, ayun na stock, hindi siya pwede ikafra at ideal… baka po pwede sa susunod pakilagyan nyo po, nasasayang po kasi pinambili ko, hindi lang ako sa lahat na rin po ng players ng pRO. thanks.

    RE: Forein IP problems
    After the weekly maintenance, we were able to connect to town maps during 9am-11pm Manila time (before, we couldn’t - this was the problem). After WoE, everything went haywire again. :(
