Philippine Ragnarok Online Weekly Update (6/11/08)

Good day everyone! For today’s weekly update, I’ll focus more on the updates and promotions since we have a lot going on. I’d still love to hear from you regarding the technical issues that we had with siege so if you have comments on that, don’t hesitate to post below. If all’s good with the siege, then we will move on to the other problems at hand until we finally adress all of your concerns. Moving forward, we have a lot of new additions to Valkyrie and Valhalla’s Item Mall. It’s also confirmed that we will have a mini-EXP mod just to spice things up for everyone across all servers.

Up to 7x EXP Bonus
To kick the Agit Scoring off once again, we’re having a minor EXP mod bonus to help you guys level your characters and guilds. Valkyrie and Valhalla will be on 2x EXP while all P2P servers will have 1.5x EXP. While this may look small now, this can balloon up to more than 7x if you compute the 3x Field Manual and the Premium Service.

New Boss Card
We have a new MVP Card available in the Armory of the Gods. This isn’t really game-breaking but it is an affordable alternative to buying +9 Footgear and slotting it with the Antique Firelock Card. The Ygnizem MVP Card gives you +10% Max HP/SP and increased regeneration rate. This is ideal for Wizards, Priests, and other classes that don’t need the +2 Strength from Antique Firelock.

Heroes of Valkyrie & Valhalla,

Worried of spending using too many Eluniums in upgrading your shoes or boots for your Ancient Firelock Card?

Well then, we have good news for you! The latest MVP Boss Card in the Armory of the Gods just costs 7,000 Rok Points and gives you +10% Max HP/SP and also increases your regeneration rate. This is much better than the Verit Card.

Ygnizem Seniar MVP Boss Card will be on the Armory of the Gods starting June 11, 2008, after the weekly server maintenance.

Boss Egnigem MVP Card
Restores 50 HP and 10 SP every 10 seconds and increases Max HP and Max SP by 10%.

As usual, this will only be on the item mall for a limited period.

A Bunch of New Weapons
We also added a lot of new weapons as well. The most noticeable ones are the Drill Katar and the Lich Bone Wand. Both of these weapons are really powerful and can be used for PVP as well as PVM. Here’s the complete list:

Drill Katar
A Katar fitted with spinning drills instead of blades, making it ideal for destroying armor. Has a certain chance of striping enemy armor.

Seismic Fist [3]
A knuckle imbued with the power of Mother Earth that can be used to crush your enemies. Each attack has a low chance of auto casting Lv. 5 Endow Quake to the wearer.
1000 Rok Points (50 Php)

Electric Fist [3]
A knuckle imbued with the power of lightning that occasionally shocks enemies. Each attack has a low chance of auto casting Lv. 5 Endow Tornado on the wearer.
1000 Rok Points (50 Php)

Icicle Fist [3]
A knuckle made of extremely cold ice that has a special lining so that it can be worn. Each attack has a low chance of auto casting Lv. 5 Endow Tsunami on the wearer.

Magma Fist [3]
A knuckle made of superheated lava that has a special lining so that it can be worn. Each attack has a low chance of auto casting Lv. 5 Endow Blaze on the wearer.

Frozen Bow [1]
A frozen bow whose drawstring seems too solid to be pulled. Has a certain chance of freezing enemies and increases damage of attacks with Crystal Arrows by 25%.

Burning Bow [1]
A flaming bow that seems dangerous to grasp. Increases tolerance to Fire property attacks by 10% and increases damage of attacks with fire arrows by 25%.

Gust Bow [1]
A light bow that has been enhanced with the power of whirlwinds. Increases damage of attacks with Arrows of Wind by 25%. Each physical attack has a certail chance of auto casting Lv. 5 Wind Blade; this chance is increased when the wearers INT is 40 or greater.
2000 Rok Points (100 Php)

Earth Bow [1]
A bow that is perfectly balanced in every aspect. Increases damage of attacks with Stone Arrows by 25%. Has a certain chance of inflicting the Darkness status to enemies.
1000 Rok Points (50 Php)

Red Silk Seal
Red silk that a female saint could use to seal evil. Reduced chance of being inflicted with the Confused status when worn with Spectral Spear.
Item Class: Accessory
3000 Rok Points (150 Php)

Huuma Calm Mind [2]
The Huuma Calm Mind enables the wearer to remain collected in any tense situation. Increases damage of Throw Huuma Shuriken skill by 30% and its casting cannot be interrupted.
2000 Rok Points (100 Php)

Lichs Bone Wand [2]
A wand crafted from a powerful Lichs skull that will curse anyone that threatens its true owner.
MATK +20%, INT +1, DEX +1.
Has low chance of cursing all onscreen enemies each time the wearer is physically attacked; this chance can be raised by increasing this weapons Upgrade Level.
Additional MATK +3% and Max SP +300 bonus if upgrade level is 9 or greater.

  4. It’s a minor EXP mod lang guys heh Gravity only allows major EXP mods when we have patch updates or big events. This is just something to spice things up for everyone. It’s better than nothing :)

  8. @Sniper7: We’re focused on resolving that now that we’ve fixed the critical siege bugs. Will give an update when I get information from the Ragnarok Team.

  17. sir, sobrang lag sa commercials ngayon. especially baldur. paki asikaso naman kami. nagkaroon nga ng x mod, 1.5? WTF!? we pay for every second of play. pero parang hindi na nabibigyang pansin. try nyo po mag log-in sa baldur. check nyo kung gaano ka lag ngayon. its a normal day and sobrang konti na ng tao pero ganto parin ka lag. 1.6k nalang kami and decreasing pa everyday. my friends quitted already cause they feel that the game is getting boring cause you can’t really move in 1 minuite without lagging.

  22. Sana maayos na yung nameless island quest. Walang silbe yung sangkatutak na new equipments kung kakaunti lang ang makakakuha. Magiging dahilan pa yun para ma-monopolize nila yung presyo since sila lang ang meron at sila lang din ang may opportunity para makapag-over upgrade ng mga yun.

    Another thing, kelan ibabalik yung auction at mailbox? Sayang kc sa oras yung tatambay ka sa prontera para mag-pub ng “B> ” Usually, tumitingin na lang ako sa auction pag may kailangan ako

    P.S. Regarding sieges, mas matino na kaysa dati: Nakakagalaw na at nakakapag-pots ng MEDYO matino. Hindi na rin delayed ang chat. PERO, pag ang guild nyo ang nsa offense, more or less mas gugustuhin mo na lang mag-logout dahil nagmumukha lang kayong tanga dahil sa lag. Pag nag-EC gm nyo, hindi ka makakagalaw ng matino, hindi makakapagpots kahit halos madurog na ang keyboard mo sa pagpindot, at mamamatay ka ng walang kalaban-laban. I can say na back to normal na ang siege ngayon (kasi ganito naman talaga dati pa basta agit lords season). Pero, wala na ba talagang paraan para masolusyonan to? Hindi ko kasi ramdam ung essense ng agit lords kung ndi rin naman makakalaban with “all their capabilities” ang bawat guild/faction.

  26. The .5x exp mod is definitely small and measly. There’s no denying it.

    And in exchange for that, we get lag x10 and delay x3. To top it all, we also experience a crappy siege here in Valkyrie server.

    Please conduct a seminar to your mods in RB kasi they have mutated into Ferdinand Marcoses. They are already using their power in harrasing people and banning them without concrete evidence.     I think it would be a wise decision to release the ff: Nameless equipsa in HM If the Nameless Bug is still unfixed by next week.

    The lag and frequent dc occuring during WoE in SE Agits (Baldur,Freya, and Valhalla) are getting out of hand beyond the normal lag and frequent dc we are experiencing. Specially if someone use Emergency Call right on front of your character would result to DC. This problem started since last week of monday June 2, 2008, days after the Valkyrie server problem is resolved.
    Hope this gets fixed.

    Recyling Doppelganger Card would be a good idea due to the new Nameless Weapons

  42. Sir Wauks, pakigawan naman ng aksyon kaming mga SmartBro users. Marami na rin ang nagrereklamo sa RagnaBoards. Para saan pa ang mod experience sa F2P? At sayang ang mga nag avail ng Premium Service, kung hindi kami makakagamit. Nakablock daw ang mga IP ng SmartBro users sa LU, paki aksyunan naman po kaagad. Sayang ang bayad namin, hindi rin kami makapag pa level. Marami ang nawawalan na ng gana. Maraming Salamat po.
