Philippine Ragnarok Online Weekly Update (4/9/08) [UPDATED 1]

I know I’m due for the weekly Philippine Ragnarok Online update, but I can’t do it in detail yet since I’ve made it a point not to post anything that hasn’t been officially announced in the Ragnarok website. I’ll be updating this post again sometime Wednesday when all the announcements are already up. The only thing I can do tonight is to assure all of you that we have A LOT of things scheduled for the maintenance and hopefully everything will turn out alright.

When the title of this post has the (UPDATED) tag, you can go ahead and click on it and read again. That means I was already able to post all the changes that were made in the maintenance. We will have a couple of sales, new items, and some announcements on several issues that you guys raised in the previous weekly update post.

‘Till then, please feel free to browse on the various sections of the website. If I have time, I’ll do several updates on gadgets and anime as well. Wauks out (for now)!

EDIT 1: Several changes have already been posted on the official Ragnarok website as of midnight. Here are the two latest bits of news that you’ll need to read about.

GTB TEMPORARILY RE-ACTIVATED
One of the most powerful and controversial MVP Boss Cards will be temporarily reactivated tomorrow until the RPC Agit Scoring season starts. The Golden Thief Bug card will start working again when the servers go up. Yes - this means that wizards and other magic-users will have to be more cautious especially during PVP and WoE. Please note that this is TEMPORARY and we will disable this again once the agit scoring starts.

60% SALE ON FIELD MANUAL, TOKEN OF SIEG, & BUBBLEGUM
Yes - you read that right. We’re throwing a 60% sale on your favorite item mall product - the Field Manuals! Originally priced at 50 PHP, it will be sold for a promo price of 20 PHP together with the Bubblegum and Token of Sieg for 1 week.

There are still a couple of more changes that will be announced in the morning or in the afternoon. Stay tuned for more news.

    Sana i-nerf nalang ang effect like: reduce 75 or 80% of magical damage instead of the 100% immunity to magic.

  19. Waukeen, pls don’t take this the wrong way, but hypermart sales really disappoint me. As pay to play subscribers, we should have the privilege to be able to enjoy the events that you hold without having to pay more. I really like the old pRO better, such as the king Tristan III events, now that’s a way to hold an event. I’m not trying to rebuke whatever you guy’s are doing right now, I just know that you guys could do better.

Pero Marami sa amin na Tiga Valk Hindi pa nakukuha yung Taming box.. yung iba nung sat pa nag top up.. Pa Confirm po.. May Thread na about it sa Ragnaboards sana may makabasa na GM.

  22. sir wauks.. just want to ask what happened last monday. monday morning nawalan bigla ng load mga account ko which dapat tuesday pa expiry date. tpos nung monday din ng about 11 naka log-in na ulit. i asked the forums kung ako lang and i got 3 more persons so i think nagka bug sa load last monday. what happened exactly?

  23. Sa siege lang naman nagkakaroon ng impact ang GTB kaya sana sa siege lang disabled yung card. Alam kong puwede gawin yun since ang Phen disabled sa WoE pero active sa PvP/PvM.

    I say this kasi ang GTB ang pinaka-effective na paraan para makaligtas ang tanker sa Earthquake… di lang naman kasi sa WoE/PvP may use ang GTB.

    Simple lang reason dyan… sandamakmak ang bots sa commercial servers na maraming zenny (as in billions)… kung mura lang bilihin sa hypermart ninyo i’m sure sasaya na naman ang mga botters kasi nga
    RMT lang naman gagawin nila eh. Ur hypermart stuff for my zenny (skies the limit)…

  32. Regarding the load bug last saturday to sunday, can’t we get any compensation for that? Ndi biro ung nasayang na load kung itototal ang dami ng players/accounts na naapektuhan. Sa RB pa lang ang dami nang nagreklamo e. I’m sure meron pang iba na hndi gumagamit ng RB pero naapektuhan din.

    Add ko pa pala, SOBRANG LAG (as in LAG TALAGA.) po kagabi during siege time in Baldur. Hindi kami makapag-pots ng maayos. Ang galaw namin, delayed by 1-3secs. Kahit halos madurog na ang keyboard ko sa pagpindot sa hotkey ng slim pots ko, nmmtay pa rin ako sa SG pre-casts inside the emp room. E normally, kaya ko naman tangkehin ang ganon. Pakiayos naman po. Nakakawalang gana maglaro pag ganon.

    tapos sa F2P bot free? inde rin sandamakmak bot sa free2play? unrelated mga cnasabi mo.. bot mewon sa lahat ng servers.. gumising na nga kau kasali na sa laro ang bot ala na kau magagawa nyan..

Sir, nag update ako ng AVG anti virus ko. tpos open ko RO ko bat my lumalabas navirus? akala ko na ayos na eto a? try ko sa ibang application ang prob na to,pero sa RAGNAROK lang lumalabas ang virus. last 2 or 3 weeks yata ang prob na to a?. and lastly bakit kapag my nilalabas ang LU ng bagong headgears at ngaun yong diabolic box bakit my mga problem? is that quality service? im just a concern costumer about the game. alam ko na medyo kunti na ang naglalaro nito kaya enienjoy ko na ang game. hope na mabigyan kami ng maayos na service. and PLEASE fix the AVG problem

  55. boss wauks. may problema connection ng mga IFPs (international filipino players) sa pRO. hindi kami makapasok sa pront town and sa mga map around it. nangyari to after maintenance.
