Philippine Ragnarok Online Weekly Update (3/26/08)

Since I already did the Community Concerns update post yesterday, I’ll just focus on the game-related updates that we have for Philippine Ragnarok Online. I’ll also be updating several sections of this blog so watch out for that sometime this evening. Anyway, let’s get to work. Here are the major changes for this week’s maintenance.

VALKYRIE COMPENSATION (3x EXP 1 WEEK)
Valkyrie was down yesterday for emergency maintenance due to the bug exploits that was reported by the community through the Customer Support hotlines. There was a mini-rollback to make sure that we preserve game integrity and balance. To compensate for this, there will be a 3x EXP mod for 1 week starting today when the servers go up after maintenance. Here’s the direct quote

Citizens of Valkyrie,

Please be informed that the Valkyrie Server will be inaccessible until further notice today to address the bugs that were experienced earlier. In light of this, we will be doing a rollback of all Valkyrie game data to their state as of March 24, 2008 - 11:59pm.

As compensation, we will be giving a 3x Exp mod to Valkyrie for one (1) week starting right after tomorrow’s scheduled maintenance.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and we hope for your understanding with regard to the matter.

  6. sir wauks sabi ng iba may guild bug pa sa baldur, diba yun 3x mawawala lng pag maayos na yun mga bug sa guild during siege….eh wala na yun 3x….maayos na po ba tlga?


  7. With all of the headgears released so far in PRO Hypermart, the only ones I found usefull to my characters are the Gentleman’s Pipe, Alice Doll [1] and Gambler’s Hat. Others are either optional or just for show (which is the point… I guess).

    Red Glasses is not tradable I relied on the information you mentioned on your post made my friend buy one for me though sadly we figure out that is it not tradable. Hope this problem will be resolved at once. Thank you.


  11. Sir wauks, marami nagsasabi na yung dupe sa Valkyrie e last week pa nangyari hindi lang nung Monday 11:59pm. May nag post ng topic sa RB kaso lagi dini-delete ng mga MOD yung topic may mga screenshot pa daw kaso d ko nabasa yung topic na yun kasi lagi daw delete ng MOD.

    i’ve been experiencing this problem for 2 months already may 3 months na po sa april… sna po ma resolve na ang problem na ito

    Server: Baldur
    ISP: Bayan/SkyDSL
    Maps with lag/delay: PvP & WoE maps…

    sna po ma ayus na ito… i already checked my connections wala nman daw problema… tumawag na din ako sa service center nila at may pumunta na tao dito smin same din wala din problema…

  27. More premium headgears… x_X

    It’s really rather tempting to buy new ones, especially to collectors like myself. It’s true that LUG is implementing the new headgears from the other servers, but I was hoping that a few of em were QUEST-EARNED headgears.

    Hope more headgear quests come out. Commercial servers want to make use of the game time they purchase to actually do a quest to earn an item rather than just purchasing it off the Hypermart. Releases like this cater more to the F2P servers… XD

    Speaking of F2P servers, just my personal opinion - they seem to be given much more attention than the commercial servers. It’s true that this is necessary in the early stages to net in the subscribers, but as the saying goes - it’s easier to keep your old customers rather than attract new ones. ^_^

    And what’s up with the F2P server-themed loading screens in the commercial servers? It’s almost saying something like “Hey, commercial servers suck! Come transfer to a F2P one!” XD

    ^ Just some of my personal observations. Hope it’s taken in a positive note. ^_^

  30. I do hope that you’ll be more specific with the headgears that you release. Some of them are inaacurate and misleading.

    Example:

    Bunny Hat - it was stated on the website that it has a chance of casting lvl 5 increase agi upon attack, whereas the item description says has a chance of casting lvl 5 increase agi upon receiving damage.

    And also, it is misleading in a way you describe some headgears that auto cast skills with the term “a chance to cast….” instead of stating the actual percentage of casting chance.

    Example:

    (lol… who knows if its 10% or 0.001 % chance)

    As consumers, we need to have facts, the exact figures of what we are purchasing. Not white lies.

    a small chance to cast = 0.1 - 3%

    buti naman nilagay nyo na yung tradability, etc ng mga head gears.. kala ko mawawala na tiwala ko sa LUGi ^^,

    Puro Headgears, hindi ba pwedeng iba naman ang bago sa Hypermart, wala bang customize na armors etc.
    As Always midHG [1] naman…….

    Querry lang yung E.Elu saka E.Ori di ma transfer sa cart for vending or ma deal paki fix naman to Thanks
