Philippine Ragnarok Online Weekly Update (3/10/08)

As stated in the recent announcement on the website, we’re moving the regular weekly maintenance to tomorrow (Tuesday). The down time is still expected to be the same unless something goes wrong with the top-up maintenance *knocks on wood*. FYI guys, I’ve already warned all the OT people a dozen times since they keep spamming all the posts making the discussion for all the other readers hard. Since I’ve already given warning and they still violate the comment policy, I’ve suspended commenting and viewing for some readers.

With that out of the way, here’s the weekly update for Ragnarok!

VALKYRIE & BALDUR BUGS FIXED (???)
This is pretty much the most important development we’ve had in the past few months. According to Gravity and the Level Up IT Team, the zone problems should be fixed now. Based on your feedback, there wasn’t any instance of the guild/party chat bugs for both servers during the past few sieges. Hopefully this is a permanent thing and we won’t see those bugs again in the future.

I would like to continue asking for feedback from players in Baldur and Valkyrie. Please feel free to leave a comment on weekly updates or if it’s really bad - on any of my posts. If this is really fixed, then we can focus on other pressing matters like the bots and the remaining dupe items in the commercial worlds.

NEW VEINS CARDS IN THE ARMORY OF THE GODS
We’re releasing tons of new cards for Valkyrie and Valhalla! We’re also adding the highly anticipated Doom Slayer [1] and the Spiritual Ring. Here’s the complete list:

Spiritual Ring
A beautiful ring imbued with strange spiritual powers that result in surprising effects when worn with the right items. INT +2, Dex +1.
If worn with: Spiritual Wizardry Set, Wizardry Staff or Soul Staff, +6% MATK, +2 DEX, Reduce spell casting time by a percentage according to the headgear’s upgrade level.
If worn with: Spiritual Exorcism Set and Clip of rosary, Magnus Exorcismus Damage +30%, +50% Heal damage on Undead monsters, SP recovery +9%
10,000 Rok Pts.

Doom Slayer [1]
Reduces Attack Speed by 40% and doubles SP consumption of skills. If base STR is 95 or greater, this weapon adds ATK+340, a 30% chance of inflicting the Stun status and a low chance of destroying the enemy’s armor with each physical attack.
Attack strength: 10
10, 000 Rok Pts.

Thunder P[1]
A sawed off shotgun that fires shots more rapidly like a pistol at the cost of reduced accuracy. HIT -5. Splash damage. Increase attack speed by 20%.
Attack strength: 80
1,000 Rok Pts.

Long Barrel [1]
A sniping rifle with a lengthened barrel for improved accuracy. Critical +20%, Attack Speed -3%. Adds a low chance of autocasting Lv. 5 Tracking with each physical attack.
Attack strength: 150
1,000 Rok Pts.

Jungle Carbine
A rifle with a shorter barrel to better suit it for close quarter battles such as in the jungle or indoors. Critical +4%, Attack Speed +10%. Reduces Accuracy by a value equal to 1/3 of the character’s base DEX.
Attack Strength: 170
1,000 Rok Pts.

Venomous Card
Adds a high chance of inflicting the Poison status to the attacking enemy and
this card’s wearer each time the wearer is physically attacked.
Compound on: Armor
2,000 Rok Pts.

Remover Card
Increases HP Recovery by 10%. Adds HP +800,but this bonus decreases
as the compounded armor’s upgrade level increases.
Compound on: Armor
2,000 Rok Pts.

Red Novus Card
Adds a high chance of confusing the attacking enemy each time the wearer is
physically attacked.
Compound on: Armor
2,000 Rok Pts.

Skogul Card
Adds a high chance of inflicting the Bleeding status to the attacking enemy
each time the wearer is physically attacked.
Compound on: Armor
2,000 Rok Pts.

Ungoliant Card
Adds immunity to the Bleeding status, and increases HP
Recovery by 10%.
Compound on: Helmet
1,000 Rok Pts.

Kathryne keyron Card
Reduces Cast Time by a percentage equal to the compounded helmet’s upgrade
level. If the upgrade level is 9 or greater, then this card will increase Magic Attack
Strength by 2%. Cast Time with card= Original Cast Time -
(Original Cast Time Helmet Upgrade Level/100)

Metaling Card
Adds a chance of autocasting Lv.1 Divest Weapon
each time the wearer physically attacks.
Compound on: Weapon
1,000 Rok Pts.

Breeze Card
ATK +5. Adds a 5% chance of inflicting the Bleeding status
each time the wearer physically attacks.
Compound on: weapon
400 Rok Pts.

Lady Solace Card
When worn by Priest class characters, this card adds a chance
of autocasting Lv. 5 Grand Cross.
Compound on: Weapon
1,000 Rok Pts.

Maero of Thanatos Card
ATK +5. Adds a chance of autocasting Lv. 3
Decrease AGI with each physical attack.
Compound on: Weapon
1,000 Rok Pts.

Alice Card
Receive 40% less damage from Boss monsters.
Receive 40% more damage from normal monsters.
Compound on: Shield
2,000 Rok Pts.

Sageworm Card
Add a chance of gaining a gemstone item each time a monster is killed.
Compound on: Accessory
2,000 Rok Pts.

Elder Card
Inflict 40% more damageon Guardians during WoE hours.
Compound on: Weapon
2,000 Rok Pts.

Increase Soil Card
Receive 50% less damage from Guardians during WoE hours.
Compound on: Shield
1,000 Rok Pts.

PVP/DEMI-HUMAN GEARS FOR ALL SERVERS
To all PVP and siege addicts, here are two new headgear which you can enjoy. The Hockey Mask will definitely go well with the Baphomet Horns!

  8. super lag ngayon sa baldur. it’s way past the stress test pero bigla nalang nagkaron ng lag spikes. nag delay din yung guild and party ng ilang minutes.

    Yeah you’re right Judicator, the black bunny band has been character locked… add the evolved mini propellor and deviling hat to the list. So warning to everyone avoid taking these three items from your kafra for now ^^

  31. Wauks…. the guild bug is somehow already fixed… but the lag problem is really irritating, 5 sec delay in movements etc….. i think this is only experienced by pldt mydsl subscribers….


  32. Around 1am, Tuesday we all experienced server disconnection in Baldur. When we finally got on (which was difficult since every time we tried logging on we get a “failed to connect” message) we saw that our characters weren’t in their parties and guilds (same as with sieges). We also experienced lags and chat delays. Please see to the bugs.


  33. Maybe you should stop putting Enriched Elus/FMBs on sale. It’s bad enough that people are having issues with the bugs and the mod exp compensation wasn’t much, let the players earn some zeny for crying out loud! These cash items have already killed the Midgard economy.. everything is all about PHP now.. It’s not really helping us.

    We experienced delay in chat for a few minutes and then it was followed by constant disconnection. and delayed pots, speed pots and skill usage. Sobrang lag po, last week medyo ok na. Pero napalitan naman po ng sobrang lag. Ung lag dati sa Loki pag nagsiege parang ganun po ulit na expeirence namin

  58. Nawala nga ang guild delay during sieges sa baldur, napalitan naman ng mas matinding LAG. Kanina, kahit saang agit ang lakas ng lag. Pati sa pvp (after siege time), lag din. Nakakabd3p maglaro dahil sayang lang ang EDP ko kung pagkatapos mag-lag ay biglang patay na char ko /pif pakiayos naman po sana
