Welcome to the very first scheduled server maintenance for Philippine Ragnarok Online in 2008! As you all know, we skipped the first maintenance day which was originally slated for January 2, 2008. For today, we will be having updates in the Valkyrie/Valhalla Armory of the Gods and we will also be having a sale on certain items across all servers. I’ve also compiled most of the issues posted in the previous weekly update and I’ll be posting some replies on the topics based on the feedback I got from the Ragnarok team. Please note that like in any other weekly update post here, it’s NOT yet FINAL & OFFICIAL unless it is posted in the Ragnarok Website.

ISSUES POSTED @ PREVIOUS WEEKLY UPDATE
SIMBANG GABI PRIZES: According to the GM Team, all prizes were already awarded. If you didn’t get your prize, please feel free to file a ticket and post the ticket number here so I can forward it immediately to the GM Team so they can investigate what happened. To everyone who completed the event – congratulations!
THOR ACOLYTE/SUPER NOVICE SKILL POINTS: The Ragnarok Team has sent another follow-up to Gravity regarding this issue. Please note that this is a developer-related problem and we will continue to do our best in “making kulit” Gravity to resolve it at the soonest possible time.
VALHALLA RACHEL SANCTUARY: According to our testing, the Rachel Sanctuary is half open, half closed. I need this verified by you guys so please post a comment regarding this. Based on the GPS Team’s test, Thor players who were able to access the Sanctuary before can still access it now. New registrants and characters created after the converrsion to Valhalla cannot. If this is the case, we can have this patched hopefully by next week.
COMMERCIAL SERVER DUPE PROBLEM: After investigating the problem for several weeks, the GM Team has concluded that “Duped” items stored in the Mail/Auction System weren’t affected by the original wipe that was done across all servers. To remedy the situation, the GM Team is now cracking down on players who are proven beyond reasonable doubt to have exploited the bug. As of yesterday, several Tyr players were permanently banned due to the proliferation of duplicated items. The GM’s will do this one server at a time until all servers are finally purged. I strongly suggest that if you do high value trades and transactions, you get screenshots. Regarding the possibility of another wipe, standby because that will be a very difficult decision since a lot of innocent players will be affected if we do that again.
VALKYRIE/VALHALLA ANTI-BOT: Good news, Gravity is here in the Philippines. In fact, I have a meeting with them at 10:00 AM TODAY (LOL). Part of the Powerpoint presentation I’m showing is 2-3 slides dedicated to the problems of Valkyrie. This includes connectivity, chat problems, and the persistent bot issue. I’ll give everoyne an update on the results of our meeting later tonight!

Waukeen might want to know that iro has already approved name change and character transfer but with certain rules that must be observed. I hope this may also be implemented in pRO even if it may requie players to pay P50-P100 per Character.

Wauks please commence the dupe wipeout this coming maintenance Jan 18, 2008 (wed) on Valkyrie and Valhalla first before the other servers. This should be done monthly.

sir sana lan po pag isipan nyo maigi or ung ma aassure nyo na ung mismong Duped items lang ang mababawi ninyo.. kasi tulad ko hindi ako bumubili sa auction baka madamay na nman..malaki na nawala ko nakaraan. nagreport ako pero no response.. sana lang wag maulit ung pati inosente madadamay.. un lang po..
