Philippine Ragnarok Online Weekly Update (1/2/08)

Let’s get straight to the point - there won’t be any maintenance today. It’s moved to next Wednesday, January 9, 2008. That’s the main reason why you guys can still log-in even though it’s already past 9:00 AM already on a Wednesday. Please note that most, if not all of the promotions listed in the PREVIOUS weekly update are still running. I’ll make a quick rundown of all of those after the jump. Lastly, please leave some comments on stuff you want to follow-up on a macro level. I’m talking about issues that affect the entire RO community. Yes - this includes the Valkyrie connectivity and chat problems. I’ll forward all concerns to the Ragnarok Team in our general status meeting later this afternoon. Reminder - please be constructive and observer the Comment Policy of the blog.

Before anything else, here’s the post on the Ragnarok website about the weekly server maintenance being moved to January 9. I corrected the year because in the website it says 2007 and not 2008, hehe.

    WAla po bang lalabas na videos ng matches for RPC 2007? Sana po ay meron kayong mailabas na site or kahit sa youtube man lang. Or, kung hindi niyo mailabas, pwede po mapanuod lahat ng laban sa freya?

  11. whatever rules were applied in the older RO’s (namely kRO, iRO, jRO and the likes) for MVP variation respawn, will inevitably be applied here as well. kung 30 mins eh di 30 mins :)

    Salamat po sa link na ibinigay mo po. Pero sana po yung Rpc po nung 2007. Yung laban laban ng mga commercial worlds dito sa pinas. SAlamat po. Kasi last year meron pong site or page para sa mga videos nung mga laban nung rpc 2006. Sana meron din nung 2007 rpc.

    Rachel Sanctuary po sa Valhalla closed pa rin para sa mga new players. Mga Thor players lang po nakakapasok pero yung new Valhalla players hindi makagawa ng quest kasi nanghihingi ulit si Nemma ng Donations para ma open ang Rachel Sanctuary (500m donations Ouch!). Sayang naman po ang mga na-donate ng mga taga-Thor para ma-open ang sanctuary (it was opened a week before the transfer to Valhalla), tapos magrereset din pala ang donations pagdating sa Valhalla.

    Sana po ma-open na po siya. Sa Valkyrie po open na kaagad ang Rachel Sanctuary kaya nagtataka ako bakit closed ito sa Valhalla. And, if I remember correctly nabasa ko rin po Sir Wauks sa Valhalla FAQ na na-post mo dati na open na dapat ang Rachel Sanctuary.

  24. sir wauks.. was it just level up’s decision to put a random time in MVP respawn time, or gravity decided it? To tell you the truth, i hated it. Mas lalo dehado ngaun mga MVP hunters laban sa mga bot hunters. additional advantage po un sa mga bot hunters. Ung mga nagsasabi nman kasi na ok un e.. inde nman talaga sila naghhunt kaya payag na payag sila. Just wanna share a thought coming from a “manual” MVP hunter.

    Musta na po ung investigation nyo regarding the current status of duped items? Sabi nyo dati (i think last last month), ipapacheck nyo sa IT peepz yung “integrity” of the items by comparing the item database of the current month with the item databases of every month starting june 2007 (when the wipe was done). I hope ndi po nabaon sa limot ang issue na to dahil marami na naman ang maaapektuhan kung sakaling mapilitan uli kayong mag-iimplement ng item wipe dahil sa sarili nyong kapabayaan.

  29. sir wauks!!! until now mdmi pa rn bang dupe items??? kc nammroblema ako pgbli ng items e! mron ngbbenta ng mura kaya binibili ko! kc ang lam ko unti na lng ang dupe! kaya ngbabakasakali akong makamura! pro kinakabahan rn ako gwa ng baka mawipe! if mngyari ung wipe-out, pwede ko bang mkuha ult ung zeny na ibinili ko??? kc my mga print screen akong gnwa para in case of emergency! tnx poh sir! sana masagot u question ko!

  31. Sir Wauks, about the Shayla Black Bunny Band event pwede po ba kahit +4 Flying Angel (or any other premium item mentioned) or talagang dapat +0 siya? Kasi most of us have at least upgraded to +4 to take advantage of the defensive value. And dapat po ba sa trading day one headgear (one +7 BBB and a Flying Angel) per person or pwede kahit three? Thanks.
