Philippine Ragnarok Online Weekly Update (1/16/08)
Today’s Wednesday so that means it’s the weekly update for Philippine Ragnarok Online. We have a lot of updates including a new top-up bundle promotion as well as a major headgear update across all servers. In today’s post, I’ll also be discussing most of the community issues which were posted in last week’s update. Read more about the major changes for this week after the jump.

This was put on hold. GTB will only be activated for special events and promotions or until the time comes when we are 100% sure about the integrity of the commercial servers (Dupe).

Commercial Server Dupe Issues
GM Team is still investigating and banning accounts that are proven beyond reasonable doubt of being dupers who avoided the wipe by storing in the Auciton and Mailbox. If you have any suspects, please file a ticket so we can investigate.

@Artemis: Regarding life insurance, it’s a mistake by the developer. It will be reverted to 400 Rok Points (I’ll check with the team when).

Sir wauks, nakalagay dun sa LU website ung Bapho horns, increase certain amount of ATK based on wearer’s job level, um does this mean n hndi n +20 ang max or it still is? And if not pano po ung pagdagdag sa ATK?

Ah! What a relief, but I kind of thought of that… because you said it yourself in your previous posts that the Life Insurance’s price will be decreased permanently due to the -5% Death Penalty.

Any update on the status of Rachel Sanctuary in Valhalla? Closed pa rin po siya for new players ( nanghihingi pa rin ng 500m donations ).
Only Thor Players can enter the Sanctuary ( Those who did the quest back in Thor, to be more specific ).
We’re still hoping na ma-open na po ang sanctuary. Thanks in advance.

I have a suggestion.. i think it would be better if pRO would have a name change scroll that can only be used once and can be bought at a very affordable price.. I believe both LU! and RO Gamers will benefit from this..

I think nothing is wrong with Name Change & Character Transfer because iRO has implemented it & they have it as Value Added Service so why not put here in pRO as well. I can’t wait to transfer my character from TYR to Valkyrie & change my name too

About the name change, bRO’s (also LU) procedure on merge was like:
1) Blocked character creation. That allowed people to delete characters on other servers to be on the limit and avoid an unintended account creation to store extra characters. Also allowed people to delete characters created just to “reserve the name”, so no name clash would occur.
2) After the merge, name clashes happened and were expected. They made a webpage where you would fill 5 possible names for your character that had the name screwed. They would be tried on that order.
After this two measures were taken and names adjusted automatically, only about 74 people got in trouble with names. That’s what LUG said — I guess would be people that complained. So it’s was a good procedure, considering the merge of 3 servers.
Merge is not a solution, it’s a pain killer. I would like to share with the community the e-mail I wrote to Wauks on August 2007 “RO current problems”. Would you allow me Wauks?

GTB reactivation: for the meantime, just DON’T REACTIVE GTB DURING SIEGE and woe will be just fine.
NAME CHANGE: one service i have been longing for to be in pRO. looking forward to have this in the future. i tot i had that chance during the server merge but in the last minute the rules were changed and since i was in a “major” server, i wasn’t given a chance to do so.
SERVER TRANSFER: although i may not be using this, i feel that this service is unfair for people who began or restarted their pRO careers in valkyrie and/or valhalla (non-thor players). if players would transfer their 99ers from subscription servers into valkyrie or valhalla, it would be unfair for pure F2P server players since those transfered characters had the benefit of leveling up with TELEPORT skills available through skills or cards while F2P-born characters don’t have that, thus having a great disadvantage in case of convenience and time, and thus may be abused.
this service can be offered in a restricted version though, like if it’s F2P-to-F2P server transfer or P2P-to-P2P server transfers or F2P-to-P2P server transfers only.

omg! the name change is still on the hot list! this i definitely will expect. it’s thanks to master servers thingy2 plan that i was not able to change my character names.. i hope this one comes out sooner! XD
im now crossing my fingers that everything will get fixed asap. (most including valky…its been sick for so long… (poor server…)

iRO also has a Value Added Service namely the Name Change and Character Transfer service, I just hope you can’t transfer characters from Valkyrie/Valhalla to the commercial servers or vice versa because it’s not fair for those who “transfered” servers to the F2P ones.
If that’s the case, some would transfer to Valkyrie/Valhalla so that they could buy MVP Cards from the Armory of the Gods then transfer back to the commercial servers, now that wouldn’t be fair.

ummm, naayos nga yun mga prices sa hypermart, kaso un bugged account nde pa rin. kala ko maisasali yun emergency maintenance. sorry sa OT,pero since wala pa rin CS up to now,kelan pa maayos mga account namin. how come hypermart prices were fixed,pero un account namin hindi pa rin (which was after the maintenance). pa follow up na lang sana sir Wauks. marami kasi kaming affected. hindi makaconnect kse naka connect daw sa ibang server,which by the way is not true.
i guess alam na ng mga GMs un problem kse before the emergency maintenance yesterday, inannounce na log out na daw from server 10 mins before maintenance to avoid bugs, meaning they are aware of our bugged accounts,and yet they havent released any announcement about it.
on the other hand… any news on the lost skill points of aco class? also,yun rachel sanc s valhalla

Due to the many requests from our users, we have implemented a character server transfer service and have enacted a new policy to meet these requests. In order to maintain the game balance of in each server and prevent fraudulent activity, this service is subject to the terms of agreement and some restrictions as summarized below.
• This service must be paid for in advance via credit card or Paypal only.
• The service will be conducted during the following times
Monday ~ Thursday 9am till 5 pm PST.
• It is highly recommended that you do not give away or destroy existing
items upon requesting a transfer, as it is possible that your request
may not be approved.
• Item transfers are limited to what can be carried by the character,
Kafra Storage and Cart content will not be transferred between servers.
• The amount of Zeny a character may transfer is based on the character’s level.
A character will be allowed to carry a maximum of 100k Zeny per
character level.
• Any characters that are apart of the adoption system will not be allowed to
transferred to any server. However, married couples that have not
adopted another character will be allowed to transfer.
• Service requests are subject to approval by the GM Team and may be denied
based on violation of any guidelines set forth herein.
• You may only transfer one (1) pet per character. When seven (7) Characters being transferred, maximum of total seven (7) pets can be transferred along with the characters. Equipment, intimacy, and name will all be reset to new tame status on the destination server. Please de-equip your pet armors.
(Santa Goblin Pets can not be transferred at this time.)
• Homunculi can be transferred with their Alchemists. However they will be reset to “newly called” status. They will be level 1, no skills, and intimacy will be reset.
No refunds will be permitted once a request is approved and processed.

OK lang yung Character Name Change… Pero yung Character Transferring DAPAT HINDI IIMPLEMENT…. Mawawalan ng game balance… Sa P2P server maraming +10 na level 1 and level 2 weapon… sa F2P server walang safe upgrade… Asan ang game balance dun ??? sa Valkyrie/Valhalla konti palang ang mga 3rd jobber… sa P2P server puro transcended na ang character…. Asan ang game balance dun ??? Pag-isipan nyo tong maigi bago nyo iimplement…

ang bobo naman ng nagiisip ng Pay 2 Play server to Free 2 Play server.. xiempre LUGI LU! dun.. ang tanga naman kung ganon!

Maybe on maximum job it gets you 20 atk?

every 7 job levels = atk+2
at job lv45
45/7 = 6 3/7 = 6×2 = 12 + 3/7 rounded down.. = 12+0= atk+12

not really a reply but will there be a chance to change the name of character in the future… when will that be b’coz i think bugs are increasing rapidly in pRO not to mention players who are using Kore (bots)
