Philippine Ragnarok Online Weekly Update (10/24/07)
We have a lot of things happening today for the most successful MMORPG in the country, Philippine Ragnarok Online. Other than the stuff that I already posted earlier, we’re also going to apply some more temporary anti-bot measures while the permanent bot fix is being finished by Gravity and our outsourced developer. That’s currently the number one priority right now and hopefully we can have it resolved ASAP. I’ve already asked the Community Managers if they can step up recruitment for the Midgard Police until this gets implemented. We also have a problem with the log-in for Valkyrie and this should be resolved during maintenance as well.

ELEMENTAL CONVERTERS
We’ve added Elemental Converters to the Armory of the Gods. This will definitely give melee characters a big boost in leveling as well as MVP’ing. For more details on the Elemental Converters, please click here.
BUDGET CARDS
A new batch of cards will also be uploaded to the Armory of the Gods. These cards are not as powerful as the previous ones but they can definitely help and they’re light on the wallet. To learn more about the Budget Cards, please click here.

VALKYRIE BATTLE SYSTEM
We’ve also uploaded the Valkyrie Battle System Windows. This is too complex to explain in this summary post though. For more information on this new feature, please click here.
Lastly, we’re not 100% sure if Hollgrehen will be back up in Valkyrie today. As soon as I get word from Gravity, I’ll have the RO Team make an official statement on the website and on the forums. Let’s all pray that he finally gets back from his long vacation, lol. If we put him up pre-maturely, the safe upgrade limit won’t be there and items can blow up from +0 to +1 (25% Chance).

@Chester: I’m doing my best in getting EXP mods. I’ve already sent countless e-mails to Gravity about this. Kung ako lang yung mag dedecide, every other week meron EXP, Lol. Anyway, let’s pray that we get one soon.

Message for the people of Baldur, Tyr, and Freya
I know bots are rampant in your servers and it has probably become a part of your day to day experience in RO. You might be as used to it as counting 1 to 10, or as adapted to it as a cat is to an old home.
To those who bot, please be reminded that Valkyrie is a new server. Please try and see that this is a new hope and home for some. Practicing a little consideration for those people who see Valkyrie as such would be definitely appreciated.
Your servers are flooded with bots, yes, but please… a little consideration for the others, do not abuse 3rd party programs in Valkyrie. It’s good enough that you’ve been given a new place to stay or loiter around in. But please, do not ruin the server as you have done to yours. Botting should not BE something that is casual or NORMAL in Valkyrie.
It might be so in your servers, but it is not the case in this one.
Message for the people of Urdr
Valkyrie is not a wholly PK server. We all know why Valkyrie has PK-able maps. MVP Maps are PK enabled for more competition in hunting. Bot hot spots are set as PK maps so that the players can act on their own against those who bot in the said maps.
Try and contain the urge to kill anybody you see in sight.
Coming from a PK server, it must delight you everytime you send someone spawning back in town. However, DO take note that NOT ALL the people in Valkyrie are after PKing. Some don’t even know what the meaning of PK is.
Be considerate. For the good of all. And please stop picking on the 1st jobs, it ruins your reputation and ruins their day. No good done for both parties. I am not however, saying that only Urdr people pick on 1st jobs.
Message for the people of Thor
I know most of you guys are gung-ho about botting. “BAN THAT BOT! REPORT THAT BOT!” everywhere. I just hope that you guys would hold true to what we fought for in Thor. The promised BOT free server that apparently… didn’t turn out as “bot-free” as we expected it.
As much as we are standing for the NO-BOTTING cause, please avoid being annoying whelps. We’ve proven that we can last in this game without bots and have managed to accomplish things without the aid of third party programs. [Most of us at least.]
So PLEASE hold true to your WORD. Seeing those bot-haters BOTTING really pains my dignity as a Thorian. I’ll bet it pisses the crap out of fellow Thorians as well. Constant vigilance guys, don’t make it seem like “hanggang THOR lang ang paninindigan niyo”.
Message for the people of Sakray
Welcome to Valkyrie. I have nothing to say other than that as I do not know how to distinguish a Sakray player from any other and have not met anyone who plays in Sakray alone. Whereas of course if I have, this message would’ve been longer.

@Chester: For the battle system, just read the actual announcement for details. It’s basically a new window in your chat box that has more features. About the extended maintenance it’s to fix the log-in problem for the commercial servers and Valkyrie.

yes!!! sa wakas dumating na ung inaabangan kong battle system windows, ska ung shortcut keys na nka save sa server side, kahit mag pa lipat lipat ako ng pc, or characters ganun pa rin ang setup ng shortcut keys ko /no1 mabilis na ko makakapag change from Champ to LK mode… /bm to the max na ito!!!

While I find most of the info about the battle system as so-so (most of it was implemented on the day Valkyrie went up), I’m excited about the party window changes :) While I’m not those mindless anti-bot or pro-bot drones that just shout “down with bots” or “bots forever”, I really do hope that botters just shut up about their reasons for botting in a server where they don’t have to pay for anything except their electricity bill, since all their reasons are either immature or outright invalid. Oh, and kuya Wauks you REALLY have to double-check the info regarding Butterfly Wings and other items that aren’t supposed to exist in Valkyrie yet do.

@ olympians….botters are here to stay as long as LU will not address it. botters will take advantage as long as it will work. you say it is unfair but that’s the way it is. it is up to LU to fix these exploits/bugs and not to be complacent.

The problem is still there..I though it was already fixed today. Many players still can’t connect to their servers except Valkyrie.
I thought LUG have already fixed it during the maintenance. Maybe that’s it time to quit the game or you guys forcing us to play on Valkyrie don’t know if this is an inside job since others can still login I remember the February Wide Hack Incident of 2006 incident where some accounts suffered the same situation can’t connect and got their accounts hacked after several days when they connected.
I don’t want to speculate so please even if this is not your job please forward it to the IT (We already filed a ticket regarding this problem) so they would do something about it ASAP (Though I won’t hope that much).
This problem occured during Oct 22 2007 around 4pm something of the afternoon when many players just suddenly got disconnected then when they tried to connect the message displayed is “Your account is connected to another account server.” We followed the CustCare Tips of trying to connect from time to time 6sonsecutive times of reptition still it won’t work yesterday.
Don’t ignore this message even though only 20% of the players are victimized by this incident during monday in Commercial Servers, Thor, and Urdr.
The only thing funny here is we don’t own any character on the same account on Valkyrie though since some are desperate they created an account just for safety purposes to avoid the hack incident to occur the same day.

@olympians…Tama si Andy! It will be very difficult for botters to stop doing it. It will take a great sacrifice on their (botters) part to resist the temptation of using the 3rd party program in valkyrie. If nandito ang LUG for business ganon din ang habol nila. Make lots of harvester/workers to have more loots and convert it into to zeny. Then sale it to PHP! The LUG has nothing to lost if meron bot sa commercial server. In fact it will be for their own benefit and advantage if meron bot coz of RO lod. But in Valkyrie it’s another stoy. I believe the hypermart will be affected kung maraming botters and people can buy cheaper items and zennies sa mga botters. As what Andy said: “It’s up for LUG if they will address the Bot problem or not.”

Kuya Waukeen, please have Thor fixed soon, there are two maps I know of that are currently non-functioning at the moment. They are Juno(yuno) and mjolnir02. Two of my characters are stuck there. Can’t this be fixed before next maintenance?

Here’s the new ticket number OY3F3 since the other filed ticket was already answered but failed big time nothing works out upon the suggestion of the one send that letter.
And hope it would be fixed (my last experience of filing a ticket was around 2005 and it took 2 months before they fixed it from April to June 2005), not just me but others that also facing the same problem connecting to your game all servers except Valkyrie. Thanks in advanced if you happen to have time for this. I know you are busy with other tasks given to you and not to mention your other extra curricular activities so I won’t mind to wait even months for the problem to be resolved, just a relief I won’t have a chance to play WoE anymore and just focus on other activities for the time being. Being a brand manager is difficult indeed so just take your time on reporting to the LUG IT team and have them fixed each of the problems lined up relax and enjoy your work. ^_^

OT, Thor players na nag try sa Valk can’t connect to Thor, sinasabi na nanatili silang naka-log in pa daw sa Valk kahit na nag log off na sila. Please paki-ayos naman ito.
