Philippine Ragnarok Online Update II (09/19/07)

This is a follow-up post to the my original weekly update which I uploaded last night. I wasn’t able to include some of the other changes that will definitely have an impact on Midgard once again. Do you guys remember the Skill Reset NPC Compensation that was announced last week? I wasn’t really happy with it seeing as you can only do a Skill Reset through the event NPC once. I e-mailed Gravity asking for them to reset the quest for everyone. Fortunately, they agreed. The Skill Reset NPC will be extended until September 26, 2007 and everyone who did it before can now do it one more time!

But wait… there’s more. To address the growing complaints about the Speed Potions abuse, we’re changing the process on how you can procure the said item. Find out more after the jump.

The Prontera Tool Dealer NPC will start selling the Speed Potions for 300,000 zenny per bottle (75,000 zenny for Thor). The original quest will now give out giggling boxes as prizes instead of Speed Potions. Now everyone has a fair chance of buying the Speed Potions. You just need to find away to get the zenny.

Lastly, I’m happy to announce that the Mail Box Feature is now okay and active. We’re also finalizing the fix for the Neuralizer so you should see it again on the HyperMart soon. Have a good Wednesday guys!

  5. OMG ang price ng speedpots while under monopoly… is 200k (Baldur) but the NPC is giving 300k.
    mas mahal pa xa >.

  9. Skill Reset. My bad. For the Speed Pots if it’s DC’d I think the price will be around 228K or something. It’s just the initial price and baka pwede rin natin gawan ng mga discount event :)

  17. for me siguro ok na ang selling price ng speed pots ay 200k tapos pede pa sya ma discount by DC ng merchant less pa tayo ng 48k bali magiging 152k nalang ok na yan ^^..

  19. eto kasi ung computation ko. pg quest around 15K ung isang speed pots tapos habang nglalakad ka dun nababasan ka ng around 100-200z. so kung tutuusin around 18K(maximum amount) ung cost ng isang speed pots. Now sa pricing nmn since quest siya dagdagan ntn ung 18Kna cost ng 30K so around 48K na yan. compare mo ung 48k sa 228K(discounted). around 375% ata ung taas nyn. kya ang suggestion ko 60K nlng ang price.

    masyadong mahal yung speedpots. dapat 100k lang para kahit mahihirap kaya bumili. masmahal pa sa edp ang presyo walang hiya!! ang EDP isang minutong kaligayahan. ang speedpots limang segundo lang tapos ganyan presyo. ayusin nyo naman yung presyo. hindi lahat makakabili nyan.


  21. if ur going to price it at 300k and remove the quest for the speed pots then that would be an imbalance since prior to the abuse, going price for it was around 60k

    and you can get it cheaper if you do the quest yourselves

    y not put safeguards na lng against the abusers instead of providing an NPC for it?

    or just make the NPC an alternative without removing the quest BUT preventing the abuse at the same time?


  22. oo nga Wauks… tama cla.. the price of speedpots should be lower than 300k… i think 100k is just a reasonable price for it… imagine Wauks.. kung 300k mo ibebenta un speedpots napakamahal noon and masakit sa bulsa para sa mga consumers to think that sandali lng un effect ng speed pots.. i hope you get my point Sir Wauks.. =)

    sir wauks, 100k would be fine for the price of the speed potions since like what they said, seconds lang ang tinatagal niya. Pero kung gagawin nyong 1 minute yung duration nya. Why not? hehe!


  24. masyado po siyang mataas… imagine this, ung mga harvesters.. benta nila yan for 200k… tapos meron cyang 1000

    200,000 x 1000 = 200,000,000m aw… yayaman nanaman ang mga robots…=9 to beat the competitor (which is ung mga botter).. dapat mas mababa ung selling price… =( 300k is way too much… TALO pang ung pang AB ng CREATOR and EDP na mas useful kaysa speedpots…

    300k sounds too much. Even with DC it still sounds too much
    Meron bang chance na ausin nyo nalang yung quest so that it wont/can’t be abused?

    A positive effect of this(buying speed pots via NPC that is) :
    The economies might even deflate a little because of this

  50. The reason many people are complaining about the speed pots issue is because OP cya, well khit naman may NPC ganun ren OP paren. Anu ba yun napaka inconvinient naman para sameng mga players at hinde namen ma enjoy yang speed pots na yan.

  53. Wauks salamat sa pagreset sa skill reset quest! kis I already did the quest once and I later on I realized I messed up my new skills. I thought I was going to be stuck with it. Now I can correct my mistake… at a cost of 99m but still worth it. Thanks!

    Before nagang abusuhin ng bot-locking yung NPCs sa lighthalzen nasa 60-80k lang speedpots tapos ngayon 228k pag naka level 10 DC na! WTF!

    I think 100k for the pots would be fine. With level 10 DC it would still be very expensive but much more people could afford them.

Tama lang price ng speed pots.. hindi na sya pedeng makuha dun sa quest npc eh.. so asahan niyo mawawala yung nagbebentang OP na blocker ng speed potion.. and to think na napaka godly ng effect ng speed potion.. gagamit lang lahat ng nasa guild mo ng speed potion basag na agad ang def.. 300K LANG DAPAT YAN! Kunwari pa yung iba dyan gusto lang makarami.. Swerte nga kasi pede sya ma-OC.. So hindi na kelangan pa baguhin yun..
