I wasn’t able to post much during the weekend because I was out. When I came back on Monday, I was really surprised to see tons of comments left on the Full Poring Alchemist post. Note that I will enforce the Blog Comment Policy. It’s okay to criticize if done in good taste. If you will comment just to insult then that’s useless. Before I do this post, please note that anything I post here in the blog is always tentative – it is only official and confirmed once it is posted in the Ragnarok Website. Tonight I’ll basically try to address most of the issues that have popped up in the previous threads. This includes the future of Thor, Valkyrie DC, and the Valkyrie Bots. Read more after the jump.
THOR SERVER
There are rumors going around that Level-up! Games will shut down Thor due to the low number of users. There are also some people who are saying that Thor will be “Valkyrized”. At this point in time, I CANNOT confirm or deny anything. I’ve talked to some Thorians over YM and I might have asked them for their opinons on some of the initial plans that we had for Thor. However, I can say that the official announcement and future plans for Thor will be posted within the week at the Ragnarok Website. So to all Thorians, please stay tuned and check the website every now and then.
VALKYRIE BOT PROBLEM
While waiting for the new and updated anti-bot, we will be doing another massive banning this Wednesday. Basically we gathered all the users that were tagged as bots starting from November 11 up to today. We have more than 2000 accounts that were tagged (excluding the first released list). Note that the policy is permanent ban. There will be no appeals and contestations.
VALKYRIE DC PROBLEM
Like what Yralyn said, this was brought about by the influx of bots against the encrypted packet system. This has already been escalated to Gravity and our immediate solution for this is the massive banning of bots which will free-up the congestion of the account servers. I am not a tech person so I really can’t explain what the other details are. All I know is that we will be doing the banning this week and that this will free up much needed traffic for normal users.
Regarding the prizes at WTC, I’ll have to follow-up the RO Team for that tomorrow morning. I’ll post a much-needed update on that when I get the information.
I hope that this post clears the air with a lot of the pressing issues. I cannot apologize enough, especially to the players affected by the recent problems with Valkyrie.

Fafa Waukeen, this is a bit off topic pero I think you should consider the item duplicating issue in pRO a hot topic “again”. As for our observation on Baldur Server, very rampant na naman ang duping. Sana magawan niyo to ng action soon. Thanks.

Question: If a player tries to login and gets the “failed to connect” message, does that count as a “login attempt”? Or does the “login attempt” begin when the player reaches the character selection stage and/or successfully get inside the game? An answer would be good to clarify the hysteria of people in the forums.

wag sana sa user name ibase ung pag ban …. for example: donita01, donita 02, donita 03 ….. i know most of bot user uses an ID like that but in our case… CompShopName00,CompShopName01 and so on …. already exist na kc karamihan ng username kaya napag isipan namin na name nalang ng shop namin and just number it from 00 until ilan kmi owner na nag lalaro…. sana d kmi ma ban dahil sa user name na ginamit namen

sorry to go OT on this thread but lemme just inform you something about PW. You see, the tiger server champs MYTHICAL as a runner up were given a bonus prize as a compensation of sorts for the mediocre official prize LU awarded them. The bonus was a BOSS SUMMONING EVENT. Seems ok right since even at pRO we hold this types of event as well but wait… there’s a catch. The summoned monsters were killed by the LU-GMs to be looted by the finalists. Of the 30 monsters summoned, they got 80 molds for RARE items. And no one seems to want to post an official reply to a discussion about it in the PWBOARDS. There seems to be a drive to silence the issue by closing threads about it. You are the only reasonable guy and a gamer I know working for LU. Kindly check up on this and once again be a champion for all of us gamers. tnx.

sir wauks nice to hear from you.
modesty aside i spent a lot for valkyrie. i hate to think that i spent more than 10k php already but it’s ok for me bcoz i enjoy this new server.
but what is very discouraging is the log in problem and if you happen to connect ma stuck naman sa portal and character nu and it takes hours b4 you can connect.
BUT, if this is only a technical problem we can “walk an extra mile”. we can stretch our patience a little farther. However, what is irritating is that we haven’t heard any updates nor encouragement from LU. If you go to ragnarok website you can’t hear any promises nor encouragement from LU. As if they don’t care.
thanks to this website at least we can pou out our sentiment. we just hope that LU will show some care to their customer. We are spending a lot and we deserve good services also.

* set a simple objective once a day (maybe a few EXP, or a level, or get a certain amount of items)
* explore, explore, explore
* stumble through the whole experience once in awhile, as it’s sometimes more fun to “just wing it”
* make sure that you save more than you spend [unless you're happy with no money in a virtual community]
* try to meet people with the same objectives as yours (thanks to Doggburner for this)
* challenge yourself once in awhile, go for maps where you KNOW you’ll lose EXP (or at least die very often), and IF you DO survive a day without losing EXP (or not dying), that’s quite a rush then and there
* make a new friend, or maybe a new person to compete with
* remember that this is a game for crying out loud, no need to dedicate so much resources, time or effort — even if you WERE a lazy flatulence who would rather play DotA than RO
Any and all cheats in any game (except maybe the occasional walkthrough when I really, really have no idea where to go next) cheapens the game, and are always called in as a last resort. That’s why I find bots — the simplest and most abused cheat in RO — so cheap and pathetic.

I hope someone from level-up cares to read our posts at the RB (Thor thread). A lot of thorians have very good suggestions on how to “save” Thor, so to speak. (or save LU? bket losing na ba ang LU sa thor dahil konti ang population?)
I hope Lu doen’st do any drastic measures, and for godsake (pardon the choice of word), i hope they put the players on top of their priorities once in a while.
Sir Wauks, I hope you would try to put yourself in a thorian’s shoe and suggest what would be the best thing to do.

Tama sir waukz, i’ve seen moonlight card vend sa pront. sabi nila panalo daw nila sa EB sa BTA event. Totoo ba un? if not most likely duplicate. Naku! baka we will experience ulit what we’ve expereince sa Baldur, bigla na lang nawala ung mga rare and expensive items and what we received in return is only 300m from LU compensation. I hope we can hear fro you sir waukz about this issue.
