Philippine Ragnarok Online 2 to Launch 2008

The most anticipated MMORPG in the Philippines, Ragnarok Online 2, is gearing up to launch next year to give way for more feature development. To those who were able to go to the World Trade Center for Level-up LIVE, you could actually have a hands-on demo on the Alpha/Beta Client at the Game Trial area. The current features available are the job change system, Norman race, Norman job classes, personal weapon system, and certain areas in the Rune-Midgard map. The game is still incomplete but it really shows a lot of potential especially if Gravity makes good on their promise to add more innovative features in time for the launch in 2008.

RAGNAROK ONLINE, which started the online gaming craze in the country when it was released in the Philippines by Level Up! Inc. way back in September 2003, will have a brother sometime next year. Ragnarok Online 2 is currently being developed by South Korean firm Gravity and those who attended Level Up! Live at the World Trade Center from Nov. 3 to 4 got a chance to play an alpha version of the game.

Level Up! Ragnarok product manager Carlo Ople gave hackenslash a demonstration of the game and so far, it is looking great. The game has been totally redesigned from the original. Instead of using 2D sprites and pre-rendered backgrounds, RO2 now employs Unreal Engine 2.5, an updated graphics engine that makes RO2 a true 3D game.

    1st day 2 yung poring bundle package… 2nd day.. 1 nlng.. yung P500 nlng.. pero kapag gs2 mo 2 poring doll.. add k nlng ng P350.. so sa 2nd day naging poring bundle package = P500 [poringdoll+fhm+others] and add P350 [if you want another poring doll w/ in game headgir stub].. btw.. i would like to thank my parents.. binilhan kc nila ako ng fhm noong 2nd day..     mas maganda next year nalang nila ipalabas kasi pag ngayon nila nirelease ung RO2 baka hindi rin pumatok sa mga players kasi wala pang gaanong features ang RO2 well sana next year meron nang dimago at ellr races and some new towns XD currently three palang ung towns sa ro2, Hodemimes, Prontera and Cognito ^_^ at pauntiin nila ung mobs sa culvert lool! :p

    If im not mistaken pRO2 should be released by this year season’s of winter. sabi kase sa inquirer their previous news RO2 will have a CBT in december same as WiKipedia. is Gravity Still ironing us when RO2 will be released? or LUG haven’t prepared too much for this game and they extended to 2008, instead of december 07?

    errrrrr… many gamers expect pRO2 to be released on dec. @___@
    many will be disappointed… but i hope that the extended wait will be worth it, also many are tired of waiting possible users of the game might quit on it due to promises that are not kept… ~__~ though i am still waiting i would want the game to be released as soon as possible on 2008… either on late jan. or early feb….
