Personal: Waukster Online’s History
Chris Haravata, an avid Ragnarok Online gamer and a good blogger friend, recently posted in his blog that he considers Waukster Online as one of the top 10 influential blogs for 2007. This actually came from Janette Toral’s latest project at the Digital Filipino blog.Thanks so much for including me in your short list man, it really means a lot. This actually made me pause for a while and think. How about we take a stroll down memory lane with regards to the history of Waukster Online?
Waukster Online started out as a personal MMORPG blog last February 2007. I started out at blogger because I never thought that I would have the urge to buy my own domain. If you guys want to check out my old blog, just click here. Anyway, since I really had no budget to promote the blog, I relied on spamming all the forums that I could find (LOL). At first the blog covered a lot of topics, including the games of our competitors. However I noticed that the main readership were the Ragnarok Online players - who are my most important readers because they are my primary customers. I dropped the topics about other MMORPGs, including other games offered by Level-up and I concentrated on bridging the gap between the management and the Ragnarok Online community.
In March, this blog had 9,157 unique visitors. Come April, Waukster Online’s readership doubled, reaching 21,455. As of today, this blog has already reached a unique readership of 43,625. Page views and hits have already surpassed 180,000 as you can see by the counter located at the bottom of the blog. Oh yeah, I have no idea what Page Rank means but right now the Page Rank of Waukster Online is now at 5. Joel Tan, tells me that this is a good thing (LOL).
I would like to thank all of YOU guys, the Ragnarok Online and the Pinoy gamer community, for your support. This blog has definitely helped me and the management of Level-up to deliver bigger and better programs. I hope that you will continue to participate in the decision making process by giving your feedback on the potential projects that I post here almost everyday.

Napadaan ako dito last month kasi ito yata yung unang blog na nakita ko sa LUG, nakita ko na rin yung kila Geonitz, Tristan, at iba pa, pero mas updated kasi ‘to malalaman mo agad in-advance yung announcements about sa ragnarok

this blog really helps the playing community a lot! bridging LU and the gamers thru this blog is very effective as shown by the number of hits and unique viewership this site receives.
im sure most readers, if not all, bookmarked this site. your willingness in getting the pulse/feel of your clients by giving a venue to exchange ideas and opinions endears you to us.
