Personal: Waukster Blog Advisory
I just wanted to clarify some stuff regarding this blog. Some players are saying that I’m personally making a lot of money through this but the fact of the matter is I don’t even make enough to pay for the bandwidth and the web space. While there is a banner in my sidebar that says that this blog is worth 40k USD, does anyone actually believe that someone will swoop by here and pay me that amount of money for this blog? If you ask my girlfriend, co-workers, and friends, maintaining this blog is much harder than it looks. It doubles the stress I usually feel because when I’m at work, it’s mostly troubleshooting. When I’m at home, I check the blog and I just get even more stressed because this is technially, still work, hehe. In tagalog po, masakit sa ulo patakbuhin ‘tong blog na to, hehe. However, I’d rather continue doing this because it serves as an informal channel to discuss RO issues, concerns, and problems that you never get to discuss through the website or even through the forums.
Regarding the forums, we’ve just decided to do an overhaul on it. The person in charge of the forums is now RO Community Manager Cassiel and I’m sure you’ll see more of her there. She’s also leading the project on changing the RB skins because the old one was messed up when we upgraded to the next invision forum version. On announcements sometimes appearing here first before the official site and forums, that’s something we can easily change. We decided to do pre-announcement posts here at the blog because it is much easier to update the blog than the website and it also acts as additional hype because it can cause buzz. When it comes to the forums, it’s usually posted their shortly afterwards. If people are offended with this practice, then we’ll just make it a point not to update the blog first prior to the official announcement on the site/boards, except for mechanics/pricing discussions which I love doing here.
I’m currently training the new RO Brand Manager who will eventually replace me soon, and the decision to continue an RO-dedicated blog falls to him. If you guys have noticed, I’m releasing more RO2-related content lately because I’m heavily involved with the development and marketing of RO2. I’ll be moving on to RO2 as the Brand Manager sometime this year, and I’m confident that the remaining members of the pRO Team will continue giving their best.
I admit that I can’t please everyone in this job, especially since I’m a very public and open person. If ever I have offended anyone through Waukster Online, then I humbly apologize. To those who continue to support the blog, you have my sincere thanks and gratitude. And to anyone who really wants to buy this blog for 42,000$, be my guest, hehe.

Yeah I’m going to make sure that all the learnings and issues we encountered in the 4-5 years of level-up get addressed prior to the launch of the game.
Maybe I can start with allocating budget in getting more CS Agents, hehe.

wauks napapansin ko lang bakit inalis yung intimidation sa PVP lagi skill failed pero yung Castling ng mga hommun ng BIOCHEMIST pede napaka unfair naman yata laks n nga ng AB sabay makacastling pa d tuloy cla madedz parang wala ng balance sa Skill and strengths ng bawat jobs d b dapat at least there is 1 job that is 100% more advantageous against another? D ko lang talaga maintindhan kung bakit na disable yung mismong skill ng isang job pero yung extension in terms of hommun d dinidisable mukha tuloy mas impt yung Hommun

Yung mga IMBA concerns Gravity may hawak dun but we can throw those issues to them when they’re raised by the community. I agree with you that some jobs are overpowered though especially if they get the right equips.

Hi sir wauk,
i hope you can help me with this. i purchased 5 - 100 worth of ragna cards last night. and to my surprise, 3 cards were invalid (or some sort). i am getting an error “the pp card is suspended”
i tried calling your customer service the first time and they’ve told me to wait because they need to escalate this to the billing department. at the back of my head, how come level up released these inactive cards… anyway.. i waited and waited… 17 hours later, i called back.
i talked to this rep named louise/louie around 8:30 pm and he said… we still have to wait since billing is still working on it. so i expresssed my frustrations because i cant play ro until these cards work. aside from that, im missing the x4 exp for 17 hours now.
so i said, can i talk to your sup,maybe he can help me.. then, without having a second thought, he bluntly replied “NO SIR, YOU CAN’T!!!
my jaw dropped from his answer. this is the worst replied i ever had from a CUSTOMER SERVICE SPECIALIST… (sir wauks, is this what you called CUSTOMER SERVICE?!!!)it seems that the this agent dont know anything about CUSTOMER SERVICE?
sir wauks, my point of asking for a sup is merely to express my frustrations about the suspended cards i purchased. so this incident will not happened in the future. These cards WERE purchased… not asked for free… so how come we cannot ask for a supervisor!
ONE BIG QUESTION SIR WAUKS,
pano nakalabas ang mga suspended cards sa level up? ilang suspended cards kaya ang meron ngayon sa labas? tsk tsk tsk

i’m the one who created the thread in RB.
i may have caused people(prolly only a few) to doubt you and your blog. i hope you yourself read the thread… and i hope you’ll see that i have nothing against your blog. i honestly don’t care whether it makes money or not… i’m more annoyed at the seemingly lack of service and broken promises… hehehe…
i guess to erase any doubts… Let the OFFICIAL RO NEWS stay in the OFFICIAL RO MESSAGE BOARD. and let the discussions and other stuff continue here.
and some players, including myself are beyond the hype and buzz. we just need to see people actually addressing our concerns. no hype… no hoopla… just action. or maybe it’s just me…
still hoping to see thor to be the BOT-FREE server as was promised to us.

regarding ragnaboards… try to install new security features to the boards to prevent spam bots posting… there a lot of free add-ons that you can use to prevent those spam bots….

Sir wauks babaan nyo naman ung price ng assumptio scroll at kung puede mag benta na rin kayo ng full coat scroll para naman ma balance ang pvp. mas maganda sana na remove all buffs pag pasok ng pvp room para useless ung mga bot linkers nila dun pero it will take time kc gravity pa un.

The issue is not whether you’re making money or what-have-you with this blog, nor it’s about how hard or easier for you to use this blog than RB. The point is RB was ignored with regards to important announcements you’ve made here. So basically, it’s not entirely about you nor this blog. But it’s very clear that you preferred this blog than RB when you’ve made important in-game announcements, RO insights, and what-have-you.
Btw, when was the last time you visited RB? When was your last post there? Last time I’ve seen your post there and I think that was a long time ago heh, you had this blog’s weblink in your sig. Prior to that it was the Hypermart link lol

I don’t think what bugs them is not that RO stuff are announced here before they do in the official site, but rather the official sites and forum does not get updated soon enough.
If, for example, the news you post here also gets posted in the official site/forums the same day, then I don’t think they would complain.
It’s just that the ones maintaining the website/forums are not that quick to update the m. Sometimes it takes a couple of days before it gets announced in the forums.

I have 35$ for 3 months blogging! :lol: anyway, “our” blogs(game blog) primarily focus on game contents that’s why ads generated are of game contents also. Nabasa ko kasi na mas mababa ang bid sa mga game ads kaya ayun, kahit dami clicks baba parin dollars natin keh kuya google! :sad:

Hi Wauks,
I can understand how hard it is to maintain a blog. And yeah, you really can’t please everyone. In the end, it will boil down to making the right choices for the good of majority. If we answer yes to that, we’ve done our job - to promote the experience and joys of online games to as many people as we can.
