Perfect World - Enter the Werebeast!

With all the buzz Perfect World is starting to generate, I really wouldn’t be surprised if it becomes the biggest game this year. Level-up recently announced that the game would be free-to-play, using the same business model as Fly for Fun. What strikes me the most about Perfect World is how the game developers were able to get the best features of modern games like World of Warcraft, and put them into one MMORPG. It truly is an agalgamation of the best practices of online games.

One of the features of PW is the multi-racial system. You can basically choose from three races - the Humans, Wings, and the Werebeasts. The humans are your typical MMO race, while the Wings are similar to Valkeries of Norse mythology - elves with angel wings. My personal favorite is the Werebeast - half man and half beast!

Werebeasts can pick two job classes - summoners or metamorphs. As summoners, you can basically call on various mystical creatures to aid you in battle, much like the Cora Animus system. As metamorphs, you can change into gigantic beasts which give you combat and travel bonuses. A cute feature is the double mount system wherein you can have a fellow player sit and ride on you while you’re transformed. It’s would be nice though if it was a girl-boy thing (hehe).Since the Level-up PW Team is still working on the official PW-PH trailers and videos, I scoured Youtube for some of the best PW videos. I found an interesting one that highlights the major features of the game and it also has in-game footage of combat. Hope you guys enjoy!

    Coolest mount is the sting ray though

  8. I’ll get the video of the summoner. Meron vid the girl werebeast is in fox form and she’s being guarded by a large stone golem @_@


  9. Try and play(if you can play right now) with the pets. Any other cooler looking pets that you can ride(and fly with like the stingray

  15. Hey I just wanted to say hi to the mighty Wauks… great work what you do. Maybe we can team up a bit, as we just created the first english up to date Wiki about Perfect World (there are also all of your blogs linked). Can’t await to get my hands on this game…

  16. werebeast can only transform to white tiger i think… ive been in perfect world international latetly and havent seen any werebeast to polar bears.. maybe on very high levels…

    About the CB accounts wauks, is there any CB registration for us individual users, it is posted that only Cafe owners and clan leaders have the chance for CBT account.


  17. the best mount is the flying sword… can use it until ye reach lvl 30..


  18. nag iiba ang itsura ng sword habang tumataas ang level, same with the elves in their wings… isa pa sa maganda d2 yung armors, armors as you upgrade them..
