Paramore recently held a concert here in Manila, Philippines. However it wasn’t without any controversy. For some insane reason, the organizers and producers switched the position of the VIP and Gold ticket holders. This means that the people who paid P10,000 ($200 USD) were at the back of the people who paid P4,000 ($90 USD). Stupid right? Anyway, bloggers and several influential social media darlings have already started to complain online and it’s only a matter of time before this snowballs.
Let me quote from Azrael:
got a hot tip that the Paramore road manager really want to move the VIP to the GOLD area, and they threatened our local producers like “vip will be moved, else we won’t do the concert.”
and then according to a friend who got talk with our local prod. they say they will do something and try to make up on what happened earlier. Like offer autographed items or have a meet/greet or other items just to make up for the money used to buy that VIP ticket.
anyway, since many VIP ticket holders walked out and having a fight with the bouncers, let me post this email with the sender’s permission and also shouted from a VIP ticket holder and a Paramore fan, and they want a refund
Popular cosplayer Ashley also tweeted her disappointment over what happened. The organizers should seriously do something about this because if I paid 10,000 and got moved to the back I would really throw a fit and demand not just for a refund – but additional stuff due to the hassle and stress.

Baka naman pinagpilitan ng mga yung mga naka4k tickets yung place sa gold. kasi usually ganun yung ngyayari e, mga walang manners.

aLex, assuming much? the vip area had barriers, and so there was no way the gold ticket holders could’ve elbowed their way in there. also, as you may have read above, the gold area came before the vip spot. why would the gold ticket holders have to squeeze themselves in there, as such, there wasn’t even a need na ipagpilitan yung mga sarili nila don.

Clarification: was there at the VIP. There were barriers. Original floor plan had the VIP area up front and center (that’s why we paid extra to be that close!) but on actual day of concert, VIP section was moved back near the control booth on instructions from Paramore road manager. That sucked! Even the setup people were confused about the layout – weird part is, shouldn’t that have been agreed upon even prior to selling of tickets? A big mistake by organizers! It’s like selling front row tickets, then on the day itself, moving the front row to the back? Go figure. 1000 VIP tix x 6,000 (difference) = 6 MILLION bucks! Someone made money!
